I don't like this guy. I know he is a myth and a lot of people see him as some kind of prophet, but there's plenty wrong with his actions: he tortured prisonners in very vicious ways, he was intolerant and homophobic (not in the 2020 PC ways, where everybody is a -ist or a -phobic... he was literally homophobic, he truly despised and hunted homosexuals, in a violent way) and a lot of people died because of his wars.
Now, sure, Batista was not a good guy either, his regime was rotten and North American mobsters abused Cuba before Castro and Guevara made their revolution. So, it's hard to say that everything they did was wrong and Guevera fought men that were sometimes worse than him. Casto's regime brought some slight improvements in Cuba, but all in all, it's a bad regime, with lots of drawbacks (obviously, the lack of freedom is terrible, but there are many others)
In the end, Guevara was manipulated by Castro who pushed him outside of Cuba, because he feared that his charisma would compete with his own.
All in all, Che Guevara was strong hearted, a guy with convictions and bravery, he was charismatic and confident... but he was also cruel, manipulative and intolerant. The regime that he promoted is one that I really hate, because I love freedom, I love to talk with people with different opinions.
And what about you?
