Maxim is read largely by low brow chumps. I guess this is the only publicity Lohan can generate which won't mention the words "cocaine" or "box office flop". Good for her, I guess.

A gloriously over the top video with all Wesley's greatest hits

With regard to Newcastle, how bad was Glenn Roeder? (Rhetorical question ) His interviews with all their third person defiance were hilariously lame - "If you think Glenn Roeder's going to walk away from a tough situation then you don't know Glenn Roeder", all compounded by the fact that he ended up resigning. Just a terrible manager, I don't know anyone who has a good word to say about him.

Diego's great and he definitely helps make Werder Bremen such an entertaining team to watch. I think all the big clubs will be lining up for him but I'd like to see him stay in the Bundesliga for at least one more season. He's got time yet. I can't see Newcastle doing much next season beyond hoping for the top ten. They need to be realistic and stop kidding themselves. Rome wasn't built in a day and God knows they need to re-build their squad. I'm sure they'll try and go for instant success like they always do, by signing some high profile player who'll declare the club's fans as "the best in the world", and how "you just have to look around the stadium to see how much it means to the people", before either breaking his leg on debut or falling out with Allardyce in training. I hardly noticed Everton all season but they quietly did pretty well. Vaughan's an absolute beast and Arteta is top quality. Moyes is a good manager and I'm sure he'll invest whatever money he's given wisely (Beattie must have been a cautionary tale). If Arsenal can get their best players fit then they should be right up there competing for honours. They really need to dig a little deeper, especially against weaker opposition away from home. I think injuries have exposed their squad as a little light at times but as you mentioned, they'll be more experienced and prepared by the new season plus Wenger's probably scouting some wonderboy from Djibouti as we speak.

Schalke like to play themselves up as a bunch of Johnny Do Gooders, a club built on noble traditions but I guess that includes how they threw matches back in the early '70s and ended up having a bunch of players banned from the game for life? They won the UEFA Cup in '97 and got very smug about it. Then like a week later we won a little competition called the European Cup. Aston Villa finished 11th, unbeaten in the last nine games and playing some nice football. We've got money to spend in the summer, a great manager and some decent home grown players...so we'll probably finish 9th next season, just behind Bolton.

I still can't like Schalke. Its like one the laws of the universe, or something.

Shia is gonna be big, David Morse is always good value and the film itself is okay.

Femina scans from diane-kruger.net The Cannes Film Festival is upon us, should be lots of Diane.

You might find this article quite interesting.

Is Bosko Balaban still tearing up Belgian defences? Because when he was at Aston Villa, we could barely trust him with dribbling around the cones in training.

Dortmund (7th place, baby!) beat Schalke 2-0 in the Ruhr derby, whilst Stuttgart won 3-2 at Bochum, taking them top. There's one game left and Stuttgart have a two point lead. Both teams have quite easy home games next week but as the Dutch league proved, you just never know what could happen on the last day. Bremen lost at home to Frankfurt today, which killed off their slim chances. Maybe the best thing about all of this is that it has nothing to do with Bayern!

Looks like Dortmund may have cost Schalke the title

Despite playing most of the season with clown shoes on, Shevchenko's strike at Spurs (I think in the FA Cup?) was pretty good. And it was against Spurs, so even better. West Ham carving up Bolton last week led to three great goals, not best in show worthy, but for a team who may yet get relegated they were pretty darn good. Nedved still hits the occasional belter but now we're talking Serie B, land of Boumsong.

I'll pick the Messi goal as the best of the season though a shout out to David Nugent for his goal in the FA Cup against Crystal Palace and Thierry Henry's at Blackburn. Rooney against Roma t'was impressive. What else? Ronaldo's had a few good'uns and so has Drogba but they've all blurred into one.

Fleetwood Mac - Don't Stop, a track almost ruined by Bill Clinton. Hell, the whole Grease soundtrack.

If Gisele leaves, who do you think the next VS angel will be

Miranda's cute and a good choice. Doutzen is more versatile and has much more potential for a varied and interesting career, she doesn't need VS pinning her down. -
No one can just go quietly anymore, can they? Oh well. Being close to your family is all well and good, but money is even better. Especially horrible, dirty Yankee money. I hope the Bo Sox didn't make an offer, we don't some fortysomething who went 7-6 last season.

A lot of haters be hatin' but I quite liked the film. It is a bit scattered, and not as tight as the second one, but its still a solid effort. Someone give James Franco a lead role in a film with a decent script, because that's a film I'd like to see.

Does the world really need a sequel to the "reimagining" of The Italian Job? The original was, of course, wonderful and although the remake wasn't terrible, its hardly a story that's got fresh ideas left in it. Marky Mark should walk away from this while he still has some post-Departed heat left.
