  1. I can if you link a video (with the proper place marked in), otherwise I don't know what you're talking about.
  2. @Syria thank you on all counts!
  3. ^ Dani's posing was... and it didn't help she got stuck with the worst outfit of the show. The point she did was bizarre. I love her, but it was a mess.
  4. Doing the lord's work, amen. Part of me wants people like Megan in the industry to keep my life interesting, part of me wants them out, immediately, because ugh, really?
  5. All of this talk of the GOAT holiday commercial got me to break out my new avi and sig earlier than I thought I would I've probably missed it in my infinite laziness, but is there a link for this year's holiday commercial yet?
  6. It's so easy to get caught up in this I forget that the segment of the global population that actually cares about all of this, much less any of this, is so, so tiny
  7. This would definitely be awesome. Since the US is moving rapidly towards streaming, this is what they need to do. Your points are really so accurate. The only downsides on VS' side, I think, to a VS-Amazon or VS-Netlfix partnership would be the loss of adspace, aka where they premiere the holiday commercial, and the fact that Netflix doesn't release viewership data ever, not even to showrunners, so they have no way of knowing the show's reach and ad potential. On Netflix/whoever's side it's a little murkier, because it is at its core an hour long advertisement. Not to mention it's a little out of place with their current original programming. I've always loved them incorporating the other lines into the show more, like PINK having clothes and not just knickers, but I also think it's one of the reasons the show has stopped being 'the sexiest show on earth' (don't ask me what is the sexiest show on earth now, though) (it's a less sexy sexiest show on earth, I mean). Just while I'm throwing things at the wall, and I live in dreamland... I think three separate shows (maybe?) would really be for the best, since PINK seems to be where the show started to fall apart. PINK, Mainline, and Swim. You can't have ultra sexy one segment and then 18 year olds in uni jumpers the next. One show would be light and breezy and fun, the others are sexy and serious, yeah? Also, as complaints and marketing central, they should space out the Swim Special and VSFS show more. Like, show Swim in May.
  8. I honestly don't see them making it another 10 years, at least not on network television. I feel like they'll move over to being a thing you can order (like Pacquiao v Mayweather? what are those called? on-demand?) but if they keep dropping viewers that wouldn't be the most practical idea. But with the Swim Special, a potential swim show (which I don't believe will ever happen but anyway), an app, memberships, expansion of PINK and VSX, there are a lot of different outlets for them to promote with. A VSTV type thing on the site where they showcase all of their brands might be cool. They're headed there with their youtube channel, it's not a huge leap to start producing little episodes featuring the angels working out, cooking, behind the scenes, daily lives, so on. Am I coming across well? As usual with VS, I don't have a clue.
  9. Last night on preshow Megan was literally talking about how her mum met Ed in a GAP, everyone who cares knows it's nepotism, let it go... Or don't this is too funny. But lurking confession accounts? Really?
  10. It's probably sacrilegious or something as a VS fan but I don't start liking shows until post-Janet. 2005-2008 is the pinnacle, Gisele's Fantasy Bra opening haunts me in the best way, and I can't really say exactly why but everything felt sexier with that dark lighting and that high-glam makeup. I miss those remixes, good God. I nearly cried over I Like the Way You Move / Carol of the Bells being in last year's holiday commercial. I feel like the best era will never again be replicated because pop culture was different, modelling was different, attitudes were different. And that saddens me but I know there's a way to adapt and VS is not doing it. I take my girls in their knickers very seriously.
  11. Take it to the salt thread, I need this in my life
  12. I also find myself missing Todd a surprising amount. I can't put my finger on it exactly but looks wise, 2011 was one of the best shows in recent years, and apparently the viewership numbers proved that. I think VS would benefit most from a move to NBC but I can't really see that happening, even with their more liberal image. How long is their contract with CBS anyway, yearly basis or multiple years? I keep going over in my head what they would have to do to replicate the golden years (Gisele years, imo) and the first thing is downsizing, looks, sets, models, angels, less of all of those. Get girls with really good walks (even though this would eliminate many of my favourite girls haha), give the space a sleazier () vibe, sexier performers... They're so focused on it being entertainment and not the runway show it was originally conceived as. And they're suffering for it.
  13. Last night my friends in the US in the target demo were watching Jessica Jones and Master of None, for two examples, instead of the VSFS. I realise this is anecdotal but it speaks to my personal experience with the show's viewership this year. Two of them who I used to Skype-watch the show with had no idea what day it was and thought it was happening next week. People don't really care anymore. But yes, that's bad. Losing that many people is really, really bad. And I personally believe it's due to PR failures, a lack of public interest (people can tire of lingerie models), a wider range of options, and the fact that the show has been going so long people just aren't excited anymore (lack of interest part two).
  14. If people had been watching to see Gigi and Rachel's segment and Kendall's parents and the performers and whatever else you all are chalking this data up to, they would be counted in viewership ship data. The issue is not people turning it off midway through, it's that people flat-out didn't watch.
  15. They did. It was short and seemed staged (in my opinion, but then again I don't think the Gigi being surprised video is fake so my judgement is subjective). Candice just said 'I have a surprise for you. You're wearing the Fantasy Bra' the end. As far as ratings, actually, I'm not terribly surprised. Live TV is a dying medium. Netflix has a death grip on more than half the households in the US, and more and more people are cutting the cord. Adding in people who were streaming it or will watch it elsewhere later might make a larger difference than it usually does. And the PR this year was seriously lacking. VS really needs to change this show in a big way.
  16. Observations, some of which have been made already, now that I've seen the entire show: How the fuck is Jo Skriver not an Angel. Really. Really. The Newest Angels segment or attempt at one rather was perfect for them: boring and forgettable. The American Angels are shoved at the camera for PR purposes most often. We were so close to escaping Taylor Swift. So close. Showing Lily's husband didn't work because no one knows who the hell he is. But they needed an Adam, so. So much for the twentieth anniversary. I don't understand why Gigi, who is actually friends with Selena (they slapped arses on the runway ffs) wasn't picked over Megan. I just don't understand Megan at all. Please don't let her be a thing, @ God. Frankly I didn't find Kendall as much of a presence as I thought she'd be. The edit contained her in the first twenty minutes alone. Someone must have told Magdalena to play nice with Ellie, because I think that was a smile. I love this stupid shitshow. Literally nothing I thought would happen happened so cheers to VS for keeping me on my toes.
  17. I think Dani Braga got the worst outfit of anyone, seriously. Followed by Lily with the Fantasy Bra
  18. Really? I thought it was cute. Better than Karlie's first time segment. The unnecessary ones to me were... pretty much all of them. I don't even remember any of them except the presents that were throwbacks, the workout one (which, granted, loved that one) and Gigi and Rachel. And it's only been like 20 minutes since the show ended. Oh.... there was that instagram one. Meh.
  19. Not one mention of the anniversary, or did I miss it? I lost the last ten minutes and the intro due to my steam, so...
  20. She murdered Ice Angels, really. Mesmerising. And Boho Psychedelic, she was a standout, as well as during one of the in-between segments! I try not to have angel bias, but she shone so much this year (shined? shone? shewn? )
  21. Honestly, I don't even know what I feel. Basically none of my predictions for the in-betweens came true
  22. HitchcockBlonde replied to sarnic's post in a topic in Female Fashion Models
Tiny low qual cap from my stream, but she looks darling
  23. Capped this from the Christmas present segment (don't ask why it's square...)
  24. I just want to hug her... her and Doutzen, how awful.
  25. Fucking Star Troopers. The bastard of bastard segments. (Just putting that out there because I no longer have a stream)
