I have to watch Despicable Me 4 with my little niece tomorrow so I had some homework 😅 I never really was into pixar movies I have to admit (not even as a kid). I don't really get the humor and the strange looking characters. Maybe it's different when you watch those movies with a enthusiastic crowd. I'm kinda curious for this cinema experience. I think the only other pixar I ever watched in cinema was "Ratatouille". Quite liked it on the big screen. Wasn't the same when I re watched at home.

I loved that movie. So good. Probably my fave of the whole franchise. This one wasn't bad but it had some real pace issues aka it was too long imo. It's on my watchlist for years. Tried to watch it, skipped it after an hour or so 🤣 Not sure if I watched this particular cut but I watched one of them and liked it at least much more than Star Wars 😄

I should stop watching movies from the 70s 🤣 @Lilja K I liked the first half of the movie (good pace, thrilling, great disturbing atmosphere + silly white people doing silly things and then getting killed for their ignorance LOL) but this 2nd half with these hilariously 3 dumb white men on that ship thinking they were big tough heros talking nothing but irritating dumbass nonsense while doing even worse things to kill that poor animal truly I just started to root for the shark to kill them all at one point and I'm not sorry

Another upcoming interesting western imo @Lilja K

Out of solidarity with Costner and his dedication + giving not only his soul and heart but money for this project I probably should also watch it in cinema

Let's start the Josh train shall we? (he remains one of my biggest 00s crushes next to Heath Ledger, Colin Farrell and Hayden Christensen 💘) o1. Lucky Number Slevin (probably my favorite movie of him. So thrilling, clever and funny with lots and lots of twists. bonus his great chemistry with Lucy Liu ) o2. Mozart & the Whale (without a doubt one of Joshs best perfomances ever. A lovely and heartwarming "outsider" story. his lovely love interest Radha Mitchell is also awesome ❤️🩹) o3. Penny Dreadful (great show what more can I say plus Josh passionately kissing lots of hot people is never a bad thing ever 💋) o4. Black Hawk Down (intense movie that made me sweat and starting a prayer circle for his character not to die lol another great quite intense performance of Josh. also can't help but the "soldier" look is pretty hot ) o5. 30 Days of Night (omg I really like this movie. great atmosphere and those freakin scary vampires? hell yeah. I also REALLY like Joshs character "the protector" giving his damn best here. It's also quite the family drama. it's a horror/splatter movie with depth I claim) o6. Wicker Park (another "twisty" movie. It's actually more like a puzzle and in the end everything is making proper sense. It's a really great film noir. also the chemistry between Josh and Diane Kruger? give me a break ) o7. 40 Days and 40 Nights (back then I LOVED this little naughty movie. Josh was just having the most interesting leading ladies. I was OBSESSED with Shannyn Sossamon and wanted to look like her so badly. together they made me nuts. also this flower scene? Hottest sex scene with zero sex I've ever seen ) o8. Pearl Harbor (what can I say? This movie is a guilty pleasure mainly for the eye candy Josh Hartnett is 😍😍😍 How Evelyn had one look for dumb Rafe when sensitive dreamy tender thoughtful gorgeous beautiful handsome cute Danny was right there IS BEYOND ME. And then she finally came to her senses and he had to die ARE YOU FUCKIN KIDDING ME HOLLYWOOD????!!! they knew of course it wouldn't had hurt half as bad when they killed Rafe 🤣) o9. Oppenheimer (loved him in this movie whenever he appeard on my screen I cared for nothing else. That's the star power of Josh imo oh you gorgeous tall man. also his hair never looked better. plus his character was the most likeable if I remember proper and not only through my distracting Josh glasses 💘) 1o. The Faculty (quite unsure about the hair but this movie + his role is kinda 90s iconic. drugs probably never looked better also love him for playin the dirty rebel with so much fun 🥰) 11. The Virgin Suicides (speaking of hair whoever decided to put that thing on his head should've have been fired but I love him and Kirsten and their overall softness ❤️ It's actually a sad story of course like the doomed title predicts and very Sofia Coppola) 12. Black Dahlia (another film noir of Josh. I even watched the movie in cinema back then. It's Josh and Scarlett Johansson making out so aesthetically it's already a 10 ) 13. The Ottoman Lieutenant (It's always hard for me to understand how the girl is NOT choosing him 😅 He's just so charismatic, handsome and TALL it's kinda impossible to not "feel" his amount of presence (literally). If he declared his love for me I would fell into his arms and stayed there forever with a happy stupid grin ) 14. O (Othello) (back then I wasn't really into this movie nor the story or the modern take on the Shakespeare play. I also have to admit I never really was a big fan of Mekhi Phifer who's playing the titular character. I think evil Josh was the best thing here even though I had to re watch it to give a more proper review. Julia Stiles is one of my late 90s icons 🤩) 15. Halloween H20 (pure nostalgic. Josh in all his tallness + bad haircut glory in his first role ever with baby face Michelle Williams and Jamie Lee Curtis by his side. His debut could've been much worse 🎃) movies I watched but didn't like or barely remember The Champ Sin City Here On Earth Hollywood Cops movies/tv shows on my watchlist: TRAP (still in awe we're gettin another chance of a Josh movie in cinema after so many years OPPIE not counting ) The Bear season 3 Operation Fortune Cash Truck (can't believe I have to watch 2!! Jason Statham movies because of Josh) The Fear Index I Come With The Rain

Leonardo DiCaprio - (Please Read First Post Prior to Posting)
Jade Bahr replied to moiselles's topic in Male Actors
Apples streaming service is in big trouble. Seems like despite their high quality movies + shows with big stars the service isn't capable to drawn any subscribers but netflix with all the trash does. Weird. Just posting because Leo has a deal with them. Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way Inks First-Look Deal With Apple There is afterall good news for KOTFM. Apple tries to rein in Hollywood spending after years of losses After spending more than $20 billion to produce original TV shows and movies that not a lot of people watch, Apple is starting to refine its strategy in Hollywood. (...) Apple doesn’t buy the most projects in Hollywood — that is still Netflix. But it splurges on individual titles. The studio spent more than $500 million combined on movies from directors Martin Scorsese, Ridley Scott and Matthew Vaughn, and upward of $250 million on the World War II miniseries Masters of the Air, one of more than a dozen new series released this year. Those pictures were all disappointments at the box office, and only Killers of the Flower Moon registered in Nielsen’s rankings of the most-popular streaming titles. Masters of the Air delivered a smaller US audience than House of Ninjas, a Netflix show in Japanese, according to Nielsen. Even so, it’s the only new Apple show this year to appear in Nielsen’s rankings. -
So ready for this @Lilja K

Thrilling pairing + interesting female director @Lilja K Robert Pattinson & Jennifer Lawrence to Star in Lynne Ramsay's ‘Die, My Love' Robert Pattinson is in talks to join Jennifer Lawrence in Lynne Ramsay’s “Die, My Love.” the film is set to start production this week in Canada (via The Calgary Herald). This is some big-time casting for Ramsay who now has two major stars onboard her next film. Pattinson hasn’t been seen on-screen since 2022’s “The Batman.” He hasn’t starred in anything else since then. This year he was supposed to be seen in Bong Joon-ho’s “Mickey 17,” but its release got delayed by a year. “Die, My Love,” an adaptation of a novel by Argentine writer Ariana Harwicz, is being described as a stark tale set in rural France of a woman driven to the brink of insanity by marriage and motherhood. Martin Scorsese is set to produce the film. Ramsay co-wrote the script with Enda Walsh. Meanwhile, Justine Ciarrocchi, Lawerence Marty Scorsese and Andrea Calderwell are producing with Black Label Media financing. Ramsay recently admitted, at the Icelandic Film Center, that she actually has four scripts ready to shoot. There’s the ones already mentioned (“Die, My Love,” “Stone Mattress”) and also “Polaris,” starring Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara. The filmmaker also co-wrote another project, titled “Hierarchies,” but no further details were given about that one. Ramsay is a major talent. She’s only directed four films during the course of her 24-year career (“Ratcatcher,” “Morvern Callar,” “We Need to Talk About Kevin” and, her last one, 2017’s “You Were Never Really Here”). It sounds like she has a lot on her plate these days and will, hopefully, be shooting two films this year.
