  1. @Lilja K I think it's interesting how Baz Luhrman sticked to Blake till today after he wanted her badly as Daisy in his GATSBY (but that turned out very differently behind the scenes LOL). Maybe they will do a movie afterall one day.
  2. Already thought the same đŸ€Ł 'It Starts With Us' Movie: Justin Baldoni Thinks Blake Lively Should Direct the Sequel, Colleen Hoover Reacts Justin Baldoni had double duty on the movie It Ends With Us, playing the role of Ryle and also directing the film. If the sequel It Starts With Us gets made, don’t expect him to return as director. The 40-year-old actor has already implied that he will not direct the second movie and he’s already suggested that co-star Blake Lively should take the reins. The book “It Ends With Us” was released in 2016 and author Colleen Hoover released sequel “It Starts With Us” in October 2022, following the success the first book achieved during the pandemic thanks to BookTok. Justin was asked if he intends to pull double duty again for a sequel movie, if it gets made. “You’re gonna have to ask me in a little while. We’re gonna take a vacation after this,” he told Entertainment Tonight. He added, “I think there are better people for that one. I think Blake Lively is ready to direct. That’s what I think.” Colleen reacted to Justin‘s comments shortly after he made them. She said she’d “absolutely” be interested in having Blake direct. “I had the best time working with everyone on this movie. I think whoever decides to take charge of the next one would do it justice. I think they’re all in it for the right reasons, so I think that will be exciting. But it’s a lot of people to get the same schedules together again, so we’ll see,” she told ET.

  7. This ain't surprising đŸ€Ł In the end it's all about money in Hollywood no matter how many times they claim otherwise lol So if Leo ever makes another Apple film, it wouldn't be in theaters after KOTFM failed to live up to expectations. That's how fast things happen in Hollywood. Report: Apple is “Done" With Wide Theatrical Releases Yesterday it was announced that Apple nixed the Sept. 20 wide release date for Jon Watts’ “Wolfs,” starring George Clooney and Brad Pitt. The film will now open only in select theaters before streaming on Apple TV+ the following week on Sept. 27. Weirdly enough, Apple also announced that Watts would return to write, direct, and produce a sequel that would bring Clooney and Pitt’s “fixers” back for more hijinks. The main questions that should be asked here are 1) why would Apple cancel almost all theatrical plans for a movie starring A-listers George Clooney and Brad Pitt? 2) Is there a lack of confidence in “Wolfs” performing well? If that was even the case, then why greenlight another expensive sequel? Well, a source reached out to Jeff Sneider, who is reporting that “Apple is done with wide theatrical releases for all of its movies.” This would also explain why they gave Steve McQueen’s “Blitz,” a heavily Oscar-buzzed title, a tepid one-week theatrical run in November. Sneider’s source adds that there will be one last exception, and that’s Apple’s Brad Pitt movie “F1”, set for release next summer, and being distributed by Warner Bros. After that, Apple is taking the Netflix route and shunning the theatrical experience for good. Here’s Sneider’s source explaining Apple’s current mindset: Apple’s all about good PR, and they don’t need the bad PR from all these movies not doing well, is how the individual explained it to me, though they noted that the decision wasn’t a reflection on Wolfs, which was “actually pretty good, [and] would’ve done fine. This is no doubt a decision made in response to Apple’s recent expensively produced box office disappointments, “Killers of the Flower Moon,” “Napoleon,” “Argylle,” and “Fly Me to the Moon”. This “pivot” is, more or less, an admission from Apple that their wide-release strategy isn’t working out, or at least, isn’t worth the bad PR that comes with failing to meet certain expectations.
  8. ‘It Ends With Us' Director Fought With Blake Lively Over Final Cut I’m late to this. There appears to be a rift between “It Ends With Us” star Blake Lively and her director/co-star “Justin Baldoni,” who hasn’t done much press for the film. Social media sleuths noticed that the cast wasn’t really taking photos with him either at the film’s recent premiere. A bunch of media outlets have caught on to the friction and are now wondering what in the hell is happening between these two. It turns out, it’s an old-fashioned editing room battle that we have going on here. Multiple sources (via TheInSneider) are now saying that there were competing cuts of the film. Apparently, Lively took over Baldoni’s edit despite his cut having scored higher with audiences. How did Lively get away with this? She has a powerful husband, Ryan Reynolds, Deadpool himself, who “basically took over the movie and buddied up to author Colleen Hoover to see that their cut won.” The end result is that now “[Justin] Baldoni and Blake [Lively] hate each other,” according to Sneider’s sources, adding that Lively has a massive ego and Hollywood can sometimes tend to reward that. “It’s wild that the cast would shun Justin and not do press with him. It makes no sense because he’s the only one acting professional,” added a second source. Baldoni has directed two other movies in his career, 2019’s “Five Feet Apart” and 2020’s “Clouds.” He’s best known for his role in the CW series, “Jane the Virgin.” What’s happened to him with this latest project isn’t fun to hear about. He deserved better than being plunged into a stew of egos. The end result is that “It Ends With Us” has received very mixed reviews from critics. Maybe #ReleaseTheBaldoniCut could become a thing on social media. With that said, and given the hardcore fanbase Hoover’s novel has, the film is still projected to have a very healthy $25M opening weekend. “It Ends With Us” is produced by Sony and based on the bestselling romance novel by Hoover. Lively produced the film, which co-stars Baldoni, Brandon Sklenar, Jenny Slate, Hasan Minhaj, and Kevin McKidd.

    Kate Winslet

She won best actress for "The Reader" and everyone was whining that first of all it wasn't her best role nor performance or movie and second it should've been for supporting, 3rd how she was snubbed for RR when she won the globe for that role etc etc People are never satisfied đŸ€Ł And then of course Weinstein was involved in The Reader. Back then maybe not a controversy but these days you have to pay for this fact of course. Getting to the Bottom of Kate Winslet’s Unprecedented Oscar Snub Yes, Kate. Many Times Over. But Not for ‘The Reader’ Don’t Give an Oscar to The Reader Could 'Reader' controversy hurt Oscar chances? “I hate that she won for The Reader”: Kate Winslet Won Her Only Oscar For the Wrong Movie and Critics Do Have a Valid Argument The 25 Most Disliked Oscar Wins Of All Time, Ranked

  11. ‘Devil in the White City' is Still Happening — Martin Scorsese to Direct? The headline above is wishful thinking, but it makes sense. Last week, Martin Scorsese hinted that he wanted to shoot a limited series and that, unlike his “Boardwalk Empire” and “Vinyl,” he’d want to direct every single episode. I found that if I were to do a series, and I tried, I was only able to direct the pilot episodes. With “Vinyl,” by the end of the first season, I felt like I should have been more involved. Here comes the news, from producer Stacy Sher, that Scorsese’s long-gestating limited series, “Devil in the White City,” is still very much happening. Sher says everyone is still involved, including Scorsese and Leonardo Dicaprio who are, for the time being, just producing. Based on the book by Erik Larson, “Devil in the White City” tells the story of an architect and a serial killer, both trying to leave their mark on the city, and the true events that changed their lives forever at the 1893 Chicago World Fair. At some point in the 2010s, “Devil in the White City” was supposed to be Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese’s next film together.A few years later, in 2019, it got turned into a HULU limited series. Todd Field was set to direct with Keanu Reeves cast as the lead. Then, late last year, they both dropped out of the project. At the same time, THR reported that the series was dead and looking for a new home. ’Devil’ has been in the works now for more than a decade. As mentioned, it was originally set to be a DiCaprio/Scorsese film, but wouldn’t it be great if both talents could turn it into a 7- or 8-hour series? Right now, and based on last week’s intel, it looks as though Scorsese only has two movie projects he’s deeply involved in: “The Life of Jesus” and “Home.” That would be very great!!!

o1. Titanic predictable I know đŸ€Ł but Rose is my all time favorite movie heroine đŸŒč also Kate with that gorgeous red hair? no one ever more beautiful graced this earth 😍 ICONIC FROM TIP TO TOE!!! Made me love movies till today o2. Mare of Easttown another badass QUEEN. Love love love Mare and can't wait for her 2nd case 💗 o3. The Dressmaker you already guessed? Righty just another powerhouse of a female character đŸ’„freakin love this bizarre heartbreaking shocking funny movie! o4. A Little Chaos Forever in love with this soft beautiful underrated movie always down for a good period drama/love story 😍 o5. Revolutionary Road heartbreaking, stirring and quite the opposite of Titanic even though smiliar like Rose April feels caged in her boring, predictable suburban life. Bummer that husband Frank is nothing like Jack and doesn't have the courage to support her dreams and break free from social shackles and expectations. o6. The Mountain Between Us never understood the medicore reviews. especially the 1rst half is a brilliant, thrilling, emotional struggle for survival. Loved Kate and Idris together. I believed every second of their survival/love story đŸ€© o7. Little Children Another trapped woman. Another weak man. Where's Jack when we need him? 😅 Poor baby. I felt so much empathy for her when that motherf*cker didn't show up like he promised 💔 o8. Labor Day is it just me or is this movie insanely sexy? The chemistry between Kate and Josh Brolin is on another level đŸ„” Never thought baking could be that hot 😄 o9. The Holiday it's a feel good christmas movie (one of the better ones) what means I watch it every year what means it's one of my most watched Kate movies. It deserved to be in the top ten. Simple as that 😅 1o. Contagion very good pandemic movie. even better after covid because it makes you realize how fuckn accurate it is đŸ˜± 11. The Reader this book was compulsory reading in my school time and call me crazy but I pictured Kate as Hanna while reading it. So when she got the part in the movie years later I couldn't wait to see it. Wasn't disappointed. Never understood the controversy about her oscar win for this role. She was brilliant. 12. Finding Neverland yeah I cried too 😭 also pretty sure no one wears a giant flowery hat better than Kate 13. Divergent I like baddie Kate 😈 14. Insurgent why beautiful when evil? 15. Quills if this was a Joaquin Phoenix ranking this movie would be a lot higher because it's one of my favorite Phoenix movies/performances but not necessarily of Kate (she's great too though) if that makes any sense. It's a highly sexualized, weird, sometimes even creepy movie. It's def not for everyone. 16. Sense and Sensibility another iconic one of Kate I never really got the appeal of. Maybe I should re watch it because normally I'm a sucker for Jane Austen movies. It also contains Kate with big hats + red locks again. actually irresistible 17. Mildred Pierce for some reason I was a bit disappointed in this show. I barely remember anything of the plot. It just didn't "grabbed" me. It's still far away from being bad. Maybe I should give it another try (this list is gettin longer lol) 18. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind I know everyone love this freakin movie. I just don't. What can I say? I like everything of Kate and Jim Carreys story but everything else is creeping me out (Mark Ruffalo, Kirsten Dunst, Tom Wilkinson are a bunch of total weirdos here) 19. Collateral Beauty STILL CAN'T BELIEVE THEY CUTTED KATES LOVE STORY. BOO. Overall it's much better than the disastrous reviews imo and also kinda a christmas movie? 2o. Triple 9 I think she's playin some sort a russian mobster here? It wasn't a total failure though. Great cast. 21. Enigma this movie I re watched not long ago and while it wasn't necessarily bad it wasn't really good either. something was just missing to make it a good crime/love story/period drama 22. Carnage fighin and yellin people. saw better saw worse. nothing I would re watch lol great cast. 23. Steve Jobs ah yes the times I watched Fassbender movies. for a tech movie it was surprisingly unboring. Love her nerdy intellectual bossy look đŸ€© 24. Ammonite had high hopes for this movie and was surpised how less I liked it. But sometimes I just have to watch movies twice so maybe this is another candidate for my re watch list lol 25. Wonder Wheel I just don't like Justin Timberlake nor Woody Allen movies. Kate gives her usual best but can't save it imo 26. Avatar 2 boring 27. Movie 43 one of the weirdest, unfunniest things I ever watched in my life seen but no memory whatsoever: Hamlet, Iris, The Life of David Gale, Jude, Knightskater, All the King's Men, Marrakesch, Heavenly Creatures on my watchlist: the regime, Lee, blackbird, romance & cigarettes

  19. Bit off topic but I watched apples PRESUMED INNOCENT with Jake Gyllenhaal where Chase Infiniti (Leos movie daughter in the upcoming PTA movie) is playing -well- Jakes daughter Good lord she's gorgeous 😍 So if you want an impression of her I highly recommend this show. It's a really good crime series and you already can sense her star power

Maybe we should celebrate her iconic status with a proper movie list but that would took some time because holy moly I watched a lot of her
