^It's just something my mom said while we were watching "13 going 30" I will never ever forget. The movie is about to end and 30 years old Jen Garner is sitting on the stairs, crying her eyes out because she didn't get "the man" and then went back to 13 making everything different to make sure she's ending up with "the man". A so called HAPPY ENDING. My mom: So she can't be happy without him, she has to be with him to be happy. Why is this the message of every fuckin girls movie? Also my mom while watching Titanic: Oh so she can live without him! 12 years old sobbing me: But with him would be so much nicer. My mom: You will understand when you're older. Me today: My mom was right.

Why is always everyone assuming the heroine needs a hero to be fully filled?

Speaking of TITANIC Ruimy at least states the movie belongs to his nine top-tier movies in terms of quality of the billion dollar club (just beaten by "The Dark Knight"). The fact that Gerwig’s “Barbie” has made this much money is some kind of miracle as it doesn’t necessarily play it safe. It is, however, very invested in its own identity as mass-marketed product placement. It’s a mix of art and blatant consumerism. One look at the list of 53 movies that made $1 billion and you instantly understand why Brody would think “Barbie” is the best one of the lot. BM was a drama. RW&RB is a queer romcom. Is it predictable and cliché? Hell yes. But straight rom coms are predictable and cliché every time and no one is complaining about it.

Sweet and fun. Sometimes hot. Maybe not Call me by your name level of hot but their Paris "making love" scene was... quite exceptional. Also this? Movie quote of the year!!
