Lily didn't shoot for VS today, she shot for Elle China's VS story that Sara and Martha have already done. I'm not sure about Adriana and Ale, they looked like they were shooting something different but still for VS. -
Absolutely love her dress, she looks amazing. Thanks for the ads, @Shepherd! Haha I had literally the same thought. I even went to check his insta to see if I could find a pic of him in that jersey he's wearing, since I recognized it, and sure enough it's him. He certainly knows how to shoot his better angles.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the past two (maybe three) years they've had all the angels shoot the holiday commercial.

Every show from 2001 (minus the 2014 show which was December 2) onward has been taped in November, usually during the second or third week of it. Haven't they usually shot the fall stuff by now? I remember them shooting holiday around this time. Maybe they already shot it and it'll be the next batch of pictures released.

JFC, that campaign is awful. There's such a disconnect from the product they're marketing and the shots themselves. Big fat NOPE to Alexis. She's a basic tryhard.

I think it's less common now, but for a long time if a model worked for VS she was seen as too commercial to ever be a HF model. There were designers who wouldn't book VS girls for their shows or campaigns because of it. It's still true now, but there's a lot more crossover if you will. HF modeling pays next to nothing compared to commercial/catalog modeling. Usually models only see income if they a) book campaigns or b) are exclusives for runway shows, in which they're paid to do so. VS doesn't always look to HF girls when they're looking to book for their shoots or for angels. I'd say most of the current angels didn't really have strong HF careers prior to becoming angels and the same ones got a boost from being an angel. Social media is an important part of branding these days and some HF brands seek out models who have those large followings because they believe it could translate into sales. I don't think there's been any proof if it does or doesn't, though.

I hadn't realized how few events they've had this year. I feel like they usually have more by now. lol @ Candice being back for a month and a half and shooting more than Ale/Adriana and the same amount as Lily. I'm surprised Taylor and Stella's are so low, they seem to have been shooting a lot lately so they must have been out of the rotation at the beginning of the year.

Does VS tell the girl who's opening that she is ahead of when they tell everyone else stuff like they're opening/closing segments? I remember last year a lot of people were speculating Elsa was going to open because she walked during fashion month a lot more than she had in the past. Totally agree that having Candice, Elsa, Stella, Martha and Romee is excessive. Martha needed to go yesterday as she brings nothing unique to the brand, and no one cares about T. Swift's ~girl squad~ anymore. I like Stella as a model, but I don't think she's the best fit for VS. But Ed loves her so that probably buys her at least one more contract extension, plus I'm sure they think she fits a certain niche and appeals to a specific customer. Romee is just kind of there which says a lot IMO. Candice and Elsa are no brainers as far as keeping. No clue why Ale is still contracted tbh. It's not like she has star power anymore. Her, Lily and Behati need to go ASAP. But I still don't see their lineup losing anyone until after the 2018 show.

Anyone can register any available username and edit a page. They don't even have to do that but it logs your IP address unless you have a username. Wikipedia isn't a reliable source.

That doesn't make sense to me either so I'm curious to see if/how they pull that off. LED is cool but glitter feels more VS to me. I don't see anyone leaving after the show this year tbh. I think most, if not all, of the NA signed a 2 year contract extension that would have them all there through the 2018 show. Every year most people think it's Ale's last but she always comes back, even though Behati hasn't returned from maternity leave I can see her being the "new" Ale aka she's there for the holiday stuff and the show, and I think they'll want to keep Lily through the 2018 show as that would be 10 years walking for her.

Not only taking advantage of the city they're in and what it has to offer, taking advantage of the actual location they're having the show at too. You would have never known they filmed the show at the Grand Palais last year because the set up and stage looked like every other year in recent memory. I know there was some speculation that they couldn't or wouldn't have a big staircase because of liability issues, but they could have done something with that space beyond what they did. Hamish said that the years were blending together and they wanted to avoid that but they didn't do anything to differentiate last year's show from the past five or six.

@toodarnhot Yeah, I think the last thing she shot/worked for was the swim special in 2015 and the promo for it in March 2016 and nothing since, unless there's been a ~secret shoot~ but I highly doubt that. @shver I think the longest an angel took time off because of maternity leave was Miranda and that was 7 or 8 months after Flynn was born, but I could be wrong. I don't remember how much time Adriana and Alessandra took off for their first babies. I'm sure the fact that there's almost a dozen other girls that VS can use for things accounts for some of the length of time off, but Candice had her baby after Behati and she's now shot what, four times? It's really weird. Maybe Behati is the new Ale and will only be used for holiday stuff and the show.

I don't think Bee is pregnant again. Her face doesn't look anything like it did when she was with Dusty and her boobs look about their usual size. I think she's just bloated or it's baby weight she hasn't lost yet. She wasn't exactly crazy fit or one to work out a lot pre-Dusty and it looks like that hasn't changed. I'm still expecting her to shoot the holiday commercial, not so sure about any website stuff though.

This isn't necessarily what I want to happen but more as of now what I think will happen: Open Candice Sara Adriana Jasmine Elsa Close Behati Alessandra Jo Taylor Stella Neither* Lily Lais Martha Romee *I think one or two from this group will get the Swarovski outfit/wings. Candice and Bee are 100% getting to open/close something. Adriana has one of the best runway presences and would be wasted on closing a random segment, but I could also see her closing the show. How they haven't done a Showgirls/Vegas (think Doutzen's Silver Screen Angels outfit from 2012) or Carnival theme yet is beyond me. Some kind of GoT inspired or Medieval/royalty/whatever would be something different too and could work for their "darker" segment. I'd love for them to do something based on Grimms' fairy tales as well.
