  1. Mario Testino's Towel Series 36. Apparently, she'll walk the runway of the VS Fashion Show (December, 2 in London). I use the word "apparently" because I don't know a lot about VS and secondly because I tried to "read" the news in Romanian. So, I could be wrong or maybe I didn't take it from a reliable source. Anyway, I'll leave a link. http://www.libertatea.ro/detalii/articol/andreea-diaconu-victoria-secret-504993.html
  2. Thanks for posting.
  3. While Vanity Fair UK and US didn't mention Queen Letizia in the list of best dressed people 2014, the Spanish version of the magazine chose her as the best dressed of the year. It's the sixth list made by the magazine. Good choice...somebody had to fix her absence in the previous lists.
  4. "Kyra Kyralina". Teasers 2 and 3.
  5. Article and video interview about "Kyra Kyralina". I don't speak Romanian but if you do, I bet it must be an interesting interview. http://www.mediafax.ro/cultura-media/interviu-iulia-cirstea-de-la-vogue-la-chiralina-trebuie-sa-fii-serios-sunt-fete-ce-se-pierd-pe-drum-video-13147477 More of Iulia on the set...
  6. Apparently, she's about to launch her photo book called "Study of Pose: 1000 Poses by Coco Rocha". Photos by Steven Sebring (who is the author, actually) and foreword by Jean Paul Gaultier. Let's watch an advance... The book will be available on October 28.
  7. Bianca Balti for OVS Fall/Winter 2014. Part of the interview from the last issue of Vanity Fair Italy. No photo session. http://www.vanityfair.it/people/italia/14/08/25/bianca-balti-intervista-foto#gallery=18651-6
  8. Max Made. June 2014. Photo: Byron Spencer. Stylist: Elle Packham. Hair/Make up: Max May. Model Profile. Get up close and personal with Taylor Hill! We are obsessed with this Brook Sheilds circa ‘The Blue Lagoon’ look-a-like Taylor Hill! With her long, dark, naturally wavy hair, infectious smile and signature brows. We at Maxmade will not be taking our eyes off this one, she’s what we call a ‘winner ‘and a sight for sore eyes! Check out Taylor’s ‘must haves’ and makeup bag essentials along with these beautiful images shot by photographer Byron Spencer! Face. For the perfect amount of volume and separation I used Covergirl Volume Exact Mascara on Taylor’s already curled lashes. To stain lips for a long-wear with a balmy finish I used Laura Mercier Lip Balm in Sigar Violet. *Note; These stains are perfect for winter as they hydrate the lip while giving the lip a understated sophistication. I mixed MAC Silver Glitter with a large cut Art Glitter and apply to each corner of the eye to create this fun, ethereal eye. *Tip; To help glitter stick exactly where you need it apply a small amount of clear Lacquer or gloss to the area. For a added splash of colour and youthfulness I applied OPI Atomic Orange Nail Polish. Hair. To remove any unwanted frizz and define Taylor’s natural waves I used Kérastase Créme Oleo-Curl. *Tip; Warm product in the palms of your hands and scrunch through the mid lengths and ends. Pick up individual waves or curls to define and separate. *Note; Less is more with this product. Taylor wears American Retro Jacket. Source: http://maxmade.com.au
  9. One more from Denim and Supply.
  10. I miss her dark hair too...But not this style she wore for the latest L'Oreal print advert (I'm sure it's a wig). L'Oreal Paris.
  11. In Italy, visiting family. "First stop : visiting Zio Renzo in #Noli #Liguria. My late grand mother's brother on maternal side. 85 years and still #banginghot". The second pic was taken in Langhe, the region where she grew up. Elisa Sednaoui or how to look awesome without make up. As she looks so good, why not to share her beauty tips and choices? Her beauty essentials, according to her. Fragrance: Roberto Cavalli Eau de Parfum. "There is something a bit dreamy about the Cavalli fragrance. There is a very sweet note, but at the same time, it's very strong. It's a mixture. All of a sudden, you think about a strong woman who knows her way". Creams: Embryolisse Lait Crème Concentrè and Doux Me Créme Caroline. "I have two creams that I like very much. One is Embryolisse's Lait Crème and the other is a completely organic cream called Crème Caroline by Doux Me. I alternate them, because I think it's good for the skin to have a little bit of each and not to get too used to one kind of cream". Moisturizers: Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream. "Moisturizing is my basic problem. I keep it very simple, so I'll also use Eight Hour Cream, but I try not to use it too much." Masks: Clarins HydraQuench Cream Mask. "I like masks, and sometimes I use them as a day cream. Lately, I like the Anti Soif mask from Clarins, which I also use as a moisturizer if my skin becomes dry". Cleansers: Bioderma Créaline TS H2O Cleanser. "At night, I use Créaline with cotton to take off makeup, and then I wash again. I don't understand people who take their makeup off and then put cream on right away. For me, the element of water is most important". Skincare: Dalacin T (Pfizer Labs. Clindamycin 1%). "This is a skin antibiotic that you can just apply on spots. It's a liquid. You just apply it where the spot is and the next morning...amazing". Concealer: Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage Concealer. "If I have something that I want to cover, I use Laura Mercier. I like compact concealers because they are very easy to apply, even with a finger in two seconds...done". Nail Polish: Le Vernis Chanel. "I love the nail polishes from Chanel. The really red, the red black and now 'Particulière' and 'Paradoxal'". Hair: Moroccanoil Treatment. "I use Moroccanoil. It's great because it doesn't make you hair havier. My hair really absorbs it". Hair: Serge Normant Meta Morphosis Hair Repair Treatment. "Serge Normant, who is my hairdresser, started his own line. I put this mask on at night when I can wash my hair the day after". Beauty Icon: Lauren Bacall. "My beauty icon is probably Lauren Bacall when she was young. She had a very strong featured face, but combined it with a sense of humor. And my mother, for her strength, love, and natural elegance. She taught me that you don't need 75.000 products; you just need to have the basics". Source: http://www.style.com/beauty/beautyessentials/020312_Elisa_Sednaoui/ I like this article because it's the product of an interview instead of those articles that claim "somebody uses X brand". In the end, they are just publicity and they never talked to the "interviewed". These are her own words and "advices" (I've heard/read her mentioning this products in other interviews). I must admit the mention about Cavalli fragrance can be promotional but...what was she supposed to say? She's the face of Cavalli's fragrances...
  12. Thanks for the videos. One of the videos posted by Syria is called "Model Beauty Secrets". Speaking of that topic, I think it's a good chance to share some beauty tips from Mariacarla. I read about them in differents interviews and I think they could be useful for many of us. "What are your favorite products (skincare)? A hot-water [compress] and then Givenchy Peel Me Perfectly, an at-home scrub—you do that in an emergency when your face is falling apart. If I feel like I'm overdry from flying, I go with an Avène hydrating cream. I really like Filorga, a French brand, which makes pure vitamin C that you dab on. Do you use any makeup? Kett. It's a kind of three-dimensional white powder; it just gives you a...here, feel. [Runs interviewer's finger across her velvety cheek] It's really soft, and it doesn't give you a matte finish. Everybody's using it! It will change your world". To read the whole interview: http://www.elle.com/beauty/makeup-skin-care/riccardo-tiscis-muse-reveals-her-must-haves-609529 "Any beauty secrets? My skin gets stressed out when I travel. I have a good trick for when I look tired: I mix a little bit of distilled water with pure Vitamin C, and I splash it on my face". Interview: http://www.vogue.com/vogue-daily/article/model-moment-mariacarla-boscono-backstage-at-prada/#1 She talks about her favorite products. Sorry for the size. You'll be able to read it (I was, at least) but a bigger image would have been great.
  13. For you, Veronika. (Well, for everyone of course).
  14. Another short video from @denimandsupplyrl (but focused on her face). http://instagram.com/p/sApBX6JJO7/
  15. Eva accepted the the ice bucket challenge. You can see the video on her instagram. http://instagram.com/p/r-ObSMqa0H/
  16. On page 57, another user uploaded the editorial that Mariacarla made with Peter Lindbergh for Vogue Italy last January. Apart from the gorgeous pictures, there is a making of video that wasn't uploaded. So, I'll post it now. Warning. Nudity. Well, it's not big deal, to be honest. But you can see her nipples... I really love the way she poses in front the camera and especially her intensity. Once I read she had studied acting at Lee Strasberg Institute and other prestigious places like the School of Visual Arts. I think you can notice it... In fact, she has a theater company in Rome, called "Klesidra". She took part in several short films and some of them are really good in my opinion.
  17. You're welcome, Veronika. Another one published last April. Exclusive Interview: Supermodel Mariacarla Boscono. The muse and friend of the maison givenchy Interview by Caterina Minthe. Gaze long enough into the hazel eyes of Italian beauty Mariacarla Boscono and you might just see a flicker of the fiery personality born from a life chock-full with adventure. Born in Rome and raised in both the United States and Kenya, by 2005, the 25-year-old had already reached supermodel status and the payroll to match—making the Forbes list of the World’s 15 Top Earning Supermodels with a reported income of US $3.5 million. She has been the singular face for Emilio Pucci, Hermès, John Galliano, and Moschino ad campaigns, has walked hundreds of shows, and has shot no fewer than four Pirelli calendars. Today, she is represented by eight modeling agencies spanning Paris, Milan, London, New York City, Stockholm, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Barcelona, and Berlin. But it is Mariacarla’s work as the undisputed muse of the Maison Givenchy and long-time friendship with its head designer, Riccardo Tisci, which is most often highlighted. At the recent Paris launch for the new Givenchy Couture makeup line, Mariacarla was in attendance. Her raven hair slicked poker straight, she looked sinewy and strong in a crisp white shirt and leather pencil skirt matched with dominatrix black heels. Asked to describe the Givenchy woman, Mariacarla replied, “Me. Me. Me. Did you not know that I am the most beautiful, most intelligent, most wonderful woman in the world?” Yes, she has a sense of humor, too—though many in the room, encouraged by her charm, were inclined to side with her. You mentioned during the presentation that this campaign picture (showcased above) in fact captures the “new” Mariacarla. What do you mean? Life is better when you become a mother. I am not taking away anything from a woman who chooses to not have children—it’s a choice, after all. But now, life is wonderful—I see life through my daughter’s eyes and everything is beautiful. I just feel like I am fulfilled and my life is full of love now; this picture captures that. Do you find that now that you are a mother your makeup ritual has changed? Well, I try to not appear tired! Now I always use the Givenchy Compact Couture tint because it’s fast and I use that if I need to bring [my 18-month old daughter] Marialucas to school because it makes me feel a little more “together.” Now, I look for products that are “fast.” Speaking of makeup or clothing, in general—do you think that a more natural look is always best? Ah…no. Because for sure there are days when women want to be better! But just be comfortable. Never put yourself in a position where you are uncomfortable. Sometimes a woman puts on a skirt and she might have a big behind and people wonder why she is wearing that skirt, but you can just see—hey, she feels great. You’ve been the muse of Givenchy for years now. Tell us about your dynamic with Riccardo Tisci. When it comes to Riccardo, people ask, “Why do you push so much Riccardo?”—well, because he’s a genius. There are so many people I love, but they are not as genius as him. But actually, Riccardo is so neglectful about me. I hear all these really good things about me all over the world and then Riccardo sees me and says, “Uh, shut up,” and I’m like, “Ah?” or, “Uh, what are you wearing?” or, “Uh, how did you color your hair?” Everything is like that because we are like brother and sister and when we fight we are brutal. But then our mothers call each other. “You know, you should call her,” or “Why doesn’t he call me?” or “Why doesn’t she answer?” and then they bring us back together. Like brother and sister. But both of them (Tisci and Nicolas Degennes—Givenchy makeup and color artistic director) are very passionate about what they do and I fit like a glove with what Riccardo does and what Riccardo’s world is. But at the same time, I’ve never been egotistical about it. I never wanted to be the only one. He knows that I embrace all the different aspects of a woman. His show is full of different types of models—Stella, Karen Elson, K…Ken…what’s her name?…Kylie Jenner. All these girls, I like. I like a different world, a different beauty. When he shot the Dahlia Noir perfume campaign, I said that he should use 100 women to represent this work, and he said, “It should be you.” I thought, “You are crazy—it should be so many others.” But, in the end I think that sensibility about me—knowing all these other aspects of beauty—makes me the perfect one somehow, because I do respect all these other women. What about your future? Are you looking ahead? You don’t have to look ahead. You have to look to today. That’s one thing I learned by becoming a mother. I was always wondering what would come afterwards. But now, well, here I am, Mariacarla is traveling—and somehow, it’s a holiday. I haven’t had a break at all today and that’s OK. I am enjoying life so much more. I just add beauty to my life. I am first of all a mother, but I am also Mariacarla the lover, the daughter, and this is just adding. And of course I will always look to the next project—but come on, I already have so much beauty in my life, what more do you want?
