I mean let’s be honest. This was always how Apple was going to make their money back. It was not even supposed to be released in movie theaters. The money coming from theaters is just bonus money to them.

After my second viewing of KOTFM, I have to comment on the accent Cara Jade Myers used for Anna. I haven’t seen any comments about it anywhere, but I couldn’t help but notice the accent is not an Oklahoma accent at all. It’s more of a Georgia Southern Belle accent. With the dropped R’s and lilting cadence. It’s so obvious that it had to be a conscious choice between her and Marty. Perhaps it’s Anna putting on airs in a sense with her being a party girl with lots of money? Anyway, just found it an interesting character choice.

I just bought it and am watching it again!

I’m posting this, even though I know that most here don’t really care about the many indigenous communities of Oklahoma outside of Leo and KOTFM, but I was glad to see Leo acknowledge that “it’s still going on” here today. We (Oklahoma indigenous) are experiencing a bit of a backlash since the release of the movie and this article that was published today explains one of the many recent assaults occurring on our communities right now. “It’s still happening today.” I don’t post too much here about what is going on, because obviously this is a Leo site. However, if anyone is interested, Google what Oklahoma has started doing to tribes this past couple of weeks. Ticketing people with tribal tags if they are off tribal land. Our Governor has tried every way he knows to get our money. This is just his latest scheme.

Yes 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. It was a hard watch. I had to step out twice for a few minutes. Luckily, I was with others and we were able to process it with each other afterwards.

That’s great for us! Poor guy is gonna be exhausted after celebrating his birthday the night before though. Maybe he’ll celebrate tonight instead.

As a psychologist serving the indigenous community and who deals with trauma, intimate partner violence, and PTSD on a daily basis, all this “but they loved each other” BS (especially from family members) has me pulling my hair out. In other indigenous news, I got my Wilma Mankiller Barbie doll today.

I don’t think that’s what you mean at all. I think you are just hurt by those of us who dare criticize the film. For what it’s worth, I very much enjoyed the film and loved Leo’s performance.
