Monica Mitro's office has confirmed at least 3 times Adriana's participation in the fashion show, along with someone who works backstage, as well as someone who works for CBS and VS as well, that have all been contacted. Whether it's hosting or not, it's not a prediction like it was last year, it was a prediction last year due to everything she did...and if you want to really get technical it kind of was, she opened the show, and closed the first segment, wore the fantasy bra, and had the biggest opening in the credits...In their opinion maybe that was a big deal. But last year was all predictions. This year the people have been contacted and etc, and it's been confirmed by many people so she'll host something. Also just because Heidi says on the runway and etc, she might do that, but I'm sure Adriana and Heidi have had something pre-taped, for VS to save face more than anything. I'm guessing Heidi will do something like she did in 2002 now that she isn't pregnant, where she's at the show and etc, and Adriana will do the fillers kind of like Heidi did in 06. But Miss is right, whether or not we want to see Heidi or for some Adriana there, it's in their contracts...that they HAVE to appear. In one way or another. No matter what the Angels, pregnant, or not have to attend/participate. The way I look at the show this year has totally changed, I really don't care who has the fantasy bra, who opens the show...even if Adriana would have been there, and even though my second fav will be there (Candice) because I've just realized that the public does not give a damn who opens the show, or who the fantasy bra...they just care about hot chicks in underwear, and their favorite Hot chick. So it's really funny now, if you look at it that way.

My guess is that Adriana and Heidi both filmed all the hosting and backstage duties months ago (kind of like Heidi did in 2006) and probably separately, and said if you or you give birth and can walk, by all means do it. If you can't you can do some misc stuff or we'll use the hosting footage. Because I don't see them spending time filming something right now, when Adriana would be her biggest (if she hasn't given birth) or Heidi right now with all the last minute things being planned. But I do expect if they host, they'll at least be in the audience this year. It's actually part of their contract to participate so whatever both of them do, I'm sure it will be substantial.

Actually it was suspected, since Heidi and Adriana are such big faces for the company. As for Adriana and Heidi being part of the show, yea that's been confirmed by Monica Mitro's people, that was always confirmed. Adriana also has hinted at it, honestly I wish she'd post something on the Lima-Fans board about it but she's been quite about it so she's probably under contract. But the appearance at the fashion show as a host or taking part is 100% confirmed, the Christmas commercial was just speculated as that's what they did with Heidi in the past. Plus we don't know if they didn't either, since Heidi did a few years ago and not all of the Christmas commercials and etc have been released. We'll just wait and see. Honestly I'm just happy about her still being in the show. I am a little concerned who's going to open though considering that walking scene in the commercial just showed that no one really had the presence in the walk. I'm thinking it will be Miranda or Doutzen, we could hope.

Because she's a main face for them, she's done quite a bit of work for them including a launch and campaign, wouldn't be surprised if she became an angel soon as well. Also they've pulled in some extra girls this year due to Karolina and Selita no longer being with them, and Adriana and Heidi being pregnant. So some could be possible fillers, but a few are most likely Angels in training.

None of the current girls are strong enough to open the show. Gisele brought the power walk and really could open a show, Adriana brings more of the crowd pumping and the excitement, two very different styles...but both were great at opening the show. Plus the name power helps as well. VS isn't about giving a fashion show, they know how to do that...they are after an entertainment show. Most people who watch the show, don't give a damn about who opens, who wears the fantasy bra...yada yada yada...all they care about it is hot chicks in underwear and their favorite hot chick in underwear. CBS would not agree to air a show as 'boring' or simple as the 2000-2003 show anymore, their standards go along with their other programing, which includes more action and drama so VS needs to be included in that to pull in viewers...Most of the normal public don't like normal fashion shows, they find them boring as hell. Heck...what's the first thing people make fun of when it comes to models most of the time? Their boring walks, and looking mad on the runway. Well on this show they don't. This isn't a fashion show, it's a show for entertainment and that's it. Plus, remember how many girls come from runway backgrounds Adriana and Ale included and they have killer walks, but they are told by CBS execs and VS staff to ham it up...listen to all the shows and you'll hear tons of "BIGGER SMILE" "WAVE" blah blah blah. Doutzen is about the only one that could pull off opening the show, but with having Adriana open last year shows that they don't feel secure enough in letting any of the other girls open the show. Heidi has no interest in opening the show, she's said that before...So my guess is that they'll have all of them stand together circa 2005 to do distract from someone who might not be the best opener. Marisa isn't the best walker, Alessandra has no presence, Behati isn't a real angel, and Heidi and Adriana will be gone, besides Hosting most likely. So my guess is Doutzen, or Miranda. And with Doutzen, looking like she's being faded out, I'd bet money it will be Miranda.

So you aren't as nervous and use proper grammer and etc. Speech classes are far from just being for people from different countries...heck I'm sure Monica and Ed took them due to their jobs. Even people who do real estate in general life raise in the US take them, it just helps. Don't take it as a bad thing, it's great that a company cares that much. She does seem a little timid when she speaks, which would be something they would work on, so she's a little more confident when she speaks. As for Adriana and Ale, get use to it...they're contracted for at least 5 more years. They don't stand in the way of Candice being an angel either, I think personally a stunning launch would be Adriana and Candice. Heidi though, can hit the road lol

That article was from 2007..they still have them. Even though a girl speaks perfect english, you go to speech lessons to learn a presence and to refine your speaking. Like I said I'm sure if she goes to them when she's contracted it will just be for a little fine tuning, which everyone needs who's going to speak in public. Heck people born and raised in the US get speech lessons in college if they are going to do something that involves public speaking. It's very normal. I think her voice is adorable, and very sweet to listen to. So I'm sure they won't do anything major, just fine tuning. For talk shows and everything that comes later

I didn't claim to work for them in that way at all. I'm just posting what can be found and what I've been told by people who work backstage at the show, or work with some of the people who work for the company. Which they know their stuff, most of the stuff can actually (besides a few inside details) can be found online, or in specials about the company. It's pretty easy to find, and if you make the right connections people will gladly give you insider details as well. Yes, I agree about Candice, she's def climbing the latter, and I do believe she'll be an angel in the next year to two years Anyway like I said it doesn't matter, VS knows who to pick and who will be successful and I think them hiring her and using her for a while before signing her, will be much better. They did that with most of their top angels, it seems like the angels they hire with little to no previous work with them seem to come into the company and fail. Maybe Adriana, Alessandra Heidi didn't take them...that might be very true. Who knows but they do, do it now. As a fan and having a few people who work backstage at the show, and work for Victoria's Secret, I get a lot of info and that's how I've learned a lot of their stuff and read a lot of interviews and a lot of info for the company. As well as watched several specials on the company and learned about it. Most people who study Vs know about the contracts, know that the veterans get longer and bigger contracts (that was pointed out in a forbes special on tv monica and ed were speaking about it) and what keeps an angel around and etc. So none of us know exactly but we have a pretty good idea. New girls start off with a 3 year angel contract, the amount varies, their given training and if they sell well, move product well and are received by the public they can renew, otherwise it's grim. I'm guessing IF candice went through any training like that, it would be minimal if any at all. If they did it would probably be something simple like presence and what words not to say and etc. Not anything like Adriana, or Ale or etc would have to go through.

As for the castings dates, they change those every year so yea I'm probably wrong on the exact date. I've been a fan of VS for about 8 years, so I know my stuff but sometimes they do change things around. Also Miranda and Doutzen didn't become angels after Izabel and Selita left. Doutzen was signed on early last year, late 2007 but was announced last summer. They do a fair amount of waiting, this was right before Izabel left, Selita only left beginning of the year this year and Miranda was signed on as an angel in 2006 but announced in 2007. They don't wait for girls to leave to sign them on, it's just not how it works. One thing I admire about the girls is how they keep secrets lol, cause they shoot and know all about the Christmas catalog in April, and if it was me I'd want to tell everyone what the line was like for Christmas. Though that is part of being professional.

VS doesn't really work that way, they don't wait for one girl to retire for the other to move in. It really is based on the girls work, and spokesperson potential and how the public likes them. Vs does have models who do get things above others, because of seniority, but that's even rarely.

Yea well we'll see with Jessica Hart. Just because the press says something doesn't mean it's true. Most of the press calls all different girls Angels, doesn't mean they are so if the press calls someone an angel doesn't mean they are unfortunately they don't do their homework. Angels sign on for the Angel contract and then if they do really well in that for a few years they sign on to a beauty contract as well, like Adriana and Alessandra, who both have extended (longer than 3 years) contracts for being an Angel, which are worth a whole lot then they have the additional Beauty contracts that are worth some of what the new angels whole contracts are worth. It's complicated like you said lol But as For Doutzen I really don't expect her to be around by next year but we'll see. Also Candice has some training to do as well, when VS signs a girl on for the company she goes to speech classes, and a few other things so they may be secretly prepping her for that as well. VS keeps a lot of secrets, so it's hard to find out most things about the company. Real castings happen this week and next and fittings in the beginning of November, and fittings with the angels take place about 3-4 days before the show. Including all the press outfits as well, if Adriana and Heidi are taping anything I'm sure they'll ahev their fittings as well for hosting of some sort. Big weeks for VS these next few lol. Candice is on the right track, and I'd love to see her be the next big Angel...none of the recent Angels have really taken off with the public as some of the veterans have, so I hope we have one that the public seems to adore.

Really? Because when I spoke with Limited Brands and asked about upcoming Angels Emanuela was on of them. Lima-Fans just tends to deal with Adriana's agent, and PR rep and other people related to her, but I do contact Limited Brands pretty often to find out any news from them and Monica Mitro's people say she's signed on to be the next angel. Hmm oh well I guess, we'll wait and see. But yes it was confirmed Emanuela signed a contract, whether it be a spokesmodel contract or an angel she is contracted. Also you missed Doutzen, who is an Angel as well but don't expect her to be much longer either, by the rate of some of the things she's doing. Each angel except some of the big timers are given 3 year contracts, so they have 3 years to impress the bigger stars get longer and bigger contracts, then of course their are the beauty contracts that are totally different as well..Vs is complex when it comes to contracts.

I'd love to see Candice as an Angel, and I believe she is on her way to being. Emanuela is an angel, but they've not announced her yet. As for the other girls...keep hoping. It's already set in stone that Adriana is signed on for at least 5 more years (confirmed) Ale for about 5 as well (confirmed) and Heidi I believe this or next will be her last year. I think Candice and Emanu will both make great additions to the squad though. Candice def steals the show this year with Christmas, she's so gorgeous. She's really the stunner.

They've not had it, they always put it up on the Limited Brands Site, due to drawing in everyone involved watching it live and receiving the documents, and then even if they don't do it live, they place it up on the site a day or so later. They do have their Septembers Sales cast up, which some people think are the same thing but they aren't. I will contact Limited tomorrow and see if I can see when it will happen. My guess is this week on the the 20th or 21st.

That's because those are released, along with other information at the Annual Investor Meeting for Limited Brands, where Sharon, Ed and Monica all speak of plans and the direction Victoria's Secret is going for the holiday season. That has not happened yet, my guess is it will be this week. It's NEVER before the 21st of October, which means we didn't have them yet last year. The Christmas catalog and website will be updated this week as well, so we'll learn quite a bit. At the Investor meeting, the Christmas Commercials may be previewed, along with stage plans and promotional events revealed...all of which have been revealed at the past meetings.

Victoria's Secret does Donate them and all the proceeds go to charity as well as several tickets they donate. The show is basically an entertainment and charity event, about 50-60% of all the money they make goes to the New York Children's Charity. Plus you have to think of all the models who make money in the show, and some of that goes to their regular charities of choice as well. As far as the angels being "replaced" don't count on it anytime soon. While some have been their for a while they aren't going anywhere. Adriana will be around for about 5-7 more years (that's been confirmed with her newest contracts) Ale for about 5 more years, and I'm sure Marisa, and Miranda will renew, Doutzen there has been rumors about her leaving, which wouldn't surprise me with everything that seems to be going on about her. Heidi I'm guessing this will be her last year, and this is kind of her way out. Heidi is most likely going to take part in hosting with Adriana, or something. But I'm guessing this year will be her last, besides her makeup line. It's fine people don't like the angels, but that doesn't mean they are going anywhere.
