I used to be a big fan of Kate. I'm sort of over her now but I have no huge objection to her being in the issue. Things were actually going pretty well until the Hunter announcement 🤢.

Very happy with the models so far. Shocked and thrilled that Emily is back! I just wish Ruven wasn't allowed within 1,000 miles of any SI swimsuit model.

I remember thinking how annoyed I was when May 8 was announced as the release date because I knew that was a very busy day for me and I wouldn't have much chance to browse through the material (obviously no fault of SI). Now that I have more or less gone through it, they can feel free in the future to schedule it on a busy day. Worst issue in SI history. The pics either feature bad suits, bad poses, or unattractive models. The videos, usually the stronger part of the material every year, are garbage. They've regressed to an old weakness which is too many quick cuts. The clips are too short. If you have longer clips, you don't need the quick cuts. Plus the videos are just all over the place on the site... not organized well. I wish each model would just have one video, maybe 5-6 minutes with all of the worthy footage, instead of scattershotting them among different small clips. Highlights (relatively speaking) and lowlights Lais and Barb had good shoots. I like Tyra's cover and shoot. They kept it simple, which worked, and to me she's still very attractive. Paulina looked great too. there were some other Ok shoots, but most were just unmemorable. And I have no idea why Sam still has a job here. I'm cool with the diversity thing to a degree-- I mean, Raine might be my favorite from the model search.. but jeez, there has to be a line drawn and needs to be well before Hunter. I've been fairly diplomatic on MJ, but this is junk. Which is a shame because I think the first 2 years she was fully in charge was 2014-15 and those years were quite good IMO. But the rot clearly set in-slowly, then bottoming out with this. And the problem is, even if MJ gets fired (unlikely), the diversity genie is already out of the bottle and can't be put back. That's not all bad, but, once again, SI took a well intentioned idea and ran it aground. peace, out.

Pics of naked women = in and of themselves, good. Pics of naked women when made public against the wishes of the model = Not good. Pretty simple concept, really

I'm still going through the pics and videos-- i'm incredibly busy today so it may take me a bit... but I am incredibly underwhelmed so far. The suits, at first look, are terrible. You can't have good pics with suits this bad. The ones with good suits are boring. I'm not usually one for overstating, but this is careening toward worst issue ever, but I'll save judgement until I go through it all. BTW- where is Raine's gallery?

I don't have an issue with this personally. It's a better message than claiming some of these models are "healthy"-- and I'm Ok with some extra meat on the bones but some of them, sheesh. (if SI wants body positivity, put Myla on the cover). This is representing different fashion here so I'm fine with it even if I spend little time on her page 9 days from now 😏

If Barb doesn't get the cover this year, I honestly don;t know when she'd get it, unless they purposely give it to someone lesser known to boost her career (although that hasn't helped some models lately). I swear if Hunter gets the damn cover....I'm usually pretty reasonable and calm on this forum, but a major tantrum may occur if that happens 😖

@Clauds I have a hunch Ashley won't be back either, and I agree about Bianca. I wonder about Georgia and Kate W. I doubt they'd bring back one without the other, so that'll be interesting to see. I haven't seen much buzz about Sailor either. I think she's 50/50.

I only put in that Kate Upton and Vita were probably gone because both just had kids. And I'm assuming the model search non-winners won't be back. I held judgement on the others, including athletes, give the history of athletes returning. Did I hear right that there's one more location left after the athletes?

Excel makes a lot of hard looking things much easier. 🙂

So, yeah, I need a life. But anyway....

I must say, she is an incredible addition to the roster

On another note, I wonder if shooting in the Bahamas means Chase is returning?
