I hate that the new VS swim is all white wall, but she looks so great in them.

This is in Lorena’s tagged pictures. She hides almost all her tagged pictures unless they come from the photographers or VS photos. She’s either giving us a huge hint wanting this confession showing, or doing some Power of Positive Thinking™️ juju.

I’m not even gonna bother trying to talk to someone who thinks casting a white with a different hair colour to the other white girls is the kind of diversity people are asking for in the fashion industry, and what anyone is talking about on BZ specifically. Alexina talking about being bullied for having red hair is like every other model talking about being bullied for being tall and skinny, when those are the exact beauty standards that are being pushed on women. Sure, kids are mean and it probably sucked at the time, but let’s not pretend it compares at all to the treatment POC can face.

Honestly...none of them really. I think Lais has the most potential/personality for it but she’ll never reach the levels of recognition that Candice and Bee have. Taylor doesn’t seem like she’s interested in being That Bitch and she seems content to just do her job and then go to Colorado with her dog. None of the other girls have that spark to me. Edit: I take it back. With the addition of Barbara, she’s probably going to end up top dog. I’ve never been a huge fan of hers, but she’s already got it all going for her. Celeb boyfriend a la Behati, rabid fan base a la Candice. But seriously, she’s the only girl in the group that has a sort of celebrity, she’s young enough to grow and build a place in the brand, and she has recognition outside of VS(SI, Armani, etc).

Everything about this. Also let’s not act like people with red hair face even close to the same level of discrimination and barriers to entry than WOC do in this industry. Alexina being signed before an Asian model demonstrates this exactly.

What is the actual line up now anyways? Alexina (rip) Barbara Behati Candice Elsa (jump ship, baby girl) Jasmine Josephine Lais Martha Romee Sara Stella Taylor It’s at 13. I could definitely see them hitting 15. I can also see Elsa, Candice and Bee wanting to make their departures as soon as their contracts allow.

👀 In all honesty, as much as I want Lo and Grace in the line up, I really don’t want them signed unless girls are leaving, and they need to get some new WOC in the line up. It’s honestly ridiculous that they have 13 some models and only 2 models of colour within that line up, especially given the fact that they have plenty of WOC that they’ve been working with.

Instagram comments are their consumer base. It’s pretty telling how poorly they did with this choice given the reaction from their fans. I just briefly glanced at the comments and there isn’t a single positive comment in the top batch. Alexina was the last model that should have gotten this contract. She was awful at the show, her photos are subpar, she’s a grown ass woman who acts like a 13 years old and she’s another white girl in the line up of white girls. 15, and then their own VS branded swim. They’re honestly not collabs. They’re just acting as a stockist for these other brands.

I’m assuming they started with relatively low stock in most of the items, but they’re already sold out of a lot of stuff. I ended up buying two pieces this morning and they were marked as low stock when I purchased them, and I checked again out of curiosity and the one piece only has one size left, and the other one has sold out in half the sizes.
