I'm just not sure what other designer would be willing to work with VS like this? Maybe Jeremy Scott? It would be nice and tacky, right up VS' alley.

There was a verified story a few years back about James trying to hook up with a 17 year old girl when he was 36. I very much doubt that was an isolated incident.
Bingo. There's going to be a bunch of teenagers spending their whole week of wages from their part time jobs on a bra because they saw Kim Kardashian and Kylie wear Balmain, but it's not going to have much lasting power. I should buy a couple pieces tomorrow and then hawk them on eBay for profit.
I actually did today, since VS is right across from my work! The pieces aren’t my style so I wasn’t going to buy any but just wanted to see how they felt/looked in person. The bras feel the exact same as any other VS bra to me- no noticeable difference in quality of fabric or manufacturing that I would have kind of expected for the prices but I guess you’re paying extra for the little Balmain tag. They had a sign that said two pieces per customer, and I think a lot of it is already sold out online so it seems like a successful collab for them at least. The shirts in the collection are horribly ugly to me. And one of them had ornamentation on the shoulders that was either cheap as hell metal or plastic.
^ And I still disagree. Events like the Oscars, the Super Bowl, etc aren’t affected by the general viewing patterns because they’re live events, and there’s a big sense of watching it as a community of people. Imo, something like the VSFS that doesn’t have that effect, and people are definitely more inclined to wait for a rerun or stream it online than tune in as it airs.
Also, to compare the Oscars to the VSFS is more than a little skewed. It’s a such broader demographic interested in the Academy Awards and movie stars than people who care about Harry Styles and models.
^ I’d disagree with your point about events like the Oscars- that’s a live, and arguably time sensitive thing. (It’s not really fun to watch the Oscars two days later when you already know who won all the awards.) The VSFS is a pretaped show where the majority of the information has already been released (outfits, models, etc) and can be watched at a later point without it really effecting the entertainment value. Pink is shooting on location in the Bahamas and Alecia and Grace are both there looking like uber babes.
I don’t think there will be any new Angels until 2019, when I bet they sign Grace. (If my count/assumption about her Pink contract is correct 2018 should be her last show under Pink.) It would be nice if they signed one of the Asian girls but I have no faith in VS to do that. No idea if they would sign anyone up along side Grace- the only girl I could really see that they’re currently working with is Robin. She seems to be the most consistent girl doing shoots outside of the Angels.
^ I mean, how many people here just watched the leaked version instead, or just waited til today for it to be uploaded to the VS site? I still think the promotion for the show was weak af. I honestly didn’t see any, and probably wouldn’t have known about the show if I didn’t follow the models. Even my friends who are semi into VS didn’t know it was airing last night.
^ Bryan Singer is trash. I’m waiting for the expose on Jared Leto. I’ve already heard some alleged things against him from his band days. Matt Lauer has been released from NBC News following sexual misconduct review.
Taylor sweetie, try to contain your excitement! You’re reaching Jo levels here! Also, I love how VS made SUCH a big deal about how they made this crazy last minute change to the segment order and they had to rearrange everything and oh my god we had the show planned this way for months and months!!!! And then just go eh I want this here instead for the actual edit
