they don't always shoot at a public beach. not sure if you've ever seen the videos associated with the shoots (or been to a "public beach" for that matter) but it's not as if there's always dozens or hundreds of people around. usually the shoots are pretty secluded. there's a reason this kind of thing is so rare.

they go to great lengths to shoot in locations where the photographer and model will be free to go in whatever direction the shoot takes them, like, say, the girl taking her top off and rolling around in the sand a bit. when the paparazzi spoils that, it may make subsequent models and photographers reluctant to be willing to try more risque things, thus ruining the spirit / mood of the shoot. so i can understand why MJ et al are upset. spoiling the identity of the models is only like 2% of why she'd be upset right now. try to understand...

i love that people are so hungry for new pics of emily that when they see something the haven't seen before, they assume it's new witness not only this thread, but all these dude/bro sites jumping on the Fox Swimwear shoot...from 2011. exhibit A exhibit B exhibit C i wonder if they searched for the video of that shoot? how long until one of these sites posts her Amie lingerie shoot as if it's new? she looks like 15 there.

Valerie Van Der Graaf while I think this was overall a pretty great rookie class, I won't feel too bad if only a few of them return. (in recent years, the average percentage is ~60%)

well, here we are a day later and no ROTY! you'd think if it were rigged, they'd have the announcement written already

March 3, 6:30pm Sara, 32% Hannah, 27% Emily, 26% hard fought battle between sara and emily! both peaked at 34% and neither dropped below 11%. all the other girls were down to about 5% or less at some point. i hope they both come back next year, regardless of who SI picks as ROTY.

ROTY voting ends tomorrow, so it's not like we need to make another thread. the pictures and videos were posted a while ago. what else were you expecting from this thread?

i think we can all agree that it's being manipulated. i'll agree that it's "hacked." hacked means people with macros are voting over and over and over and therefore moving the percentages. it's the "rigged" that i think is misguided. rigged means the votes don't matter and SI is just making up percentages. that makes a lot less sense, especially with their cover girl under 10%. what i fully expect SI to do is to announce ROTY winner that (initially) makes no sense given the percentages we see on march 3, the last day of voting. i expect sara will have the highest percentage then, but emrata will be announced as the winner. this is because emrata had a lot more votes (hacked or otherwise) in the first days, but rather than display cumulative vote percentages over ALL days, SI is only presenting the cumulative percentages over the last 4-5 days in order to make the race appear more dynamic.

it's NOT rigged. if it were, the percentages would be much more equitable. you wouldn't have some girls with over 30% and some never breaking 1%. try to think about it. saying it's rigged is like saying, "i don't understand it, therefore i refuse to understand it"
