  1. she should've posted it to her tumblr!
  2. looks a lot like something from the GQ shoot with terry
  3. eh, go ahead. the bellazon mods control bellazon, not reddit.
  4. can't believe the cover leaked already
  5. uh yeah a bunch of pics leaked but i can't post a link because it's all a lie
  6. Just a comparison of the relative popularity as far as internet searches from Jan 2014 to now. That small bump towards the left-hand side is last February, when Nina, Lily, and Chrissy had the cover. Hannah Ferguson got nearly the same bump as Lily.

  8. two weeks to go!
  9. its LQ is made up for in its magnificence
  10. grace? she passed away 30 years ago
  11. mmmm kim cloutier surely among the best one-hit wonders
  12. good for her. it should be obvious that if she wanted to be in FHM / maxim / etc then she would've done so by now i would guess that those are pictures from an olivia malone shoot. maybe she sold them?
  13. i just wish they'd pick the cover based on the attractiveness and sexiness of the model rather than the promotion potential of the man she's attached to if the girl is hot enough, that should be sufficient promotion in itself.
  14. Yamamay Spring sneak peek
  15. ugh, what a disappointment.
  16. I'm with you on Hannah F. I think, much like the other girls in St. Lucia last year, she got a bad deal with the makeup. But makeup isn't permanent; maybe this year it will be less distracting. Also, I can't believe I'm typing this, but her bodypaint left too little to the imagination. I'm hoping this year she knocks it out of the park, as she's one of the few girls in the roster who could really be a superstar.
  17. Ya know, it's entirely possible for a person to do both. Here are a few quotes from those PR things you say she hates:
  18. She's done with modeling, huh? Doesn't want to do the PR? I'm sure that's news to her. She should've probably avoided being in one of the biggest movies of 2014 and two movies that will come out next year. That's like...as many (or more) as the rest of the girls combined, yeah? And it's not just movies; she's been involved with plenty of other magazines and campaigns.
  19. Now, for the cover odds. I'll go ahead and write this out, knowing some chump will just copy it, post it on their website, and draw a paycheck. But such is internet. Emily Ratajkowski, 1:1 odds Of all the SI models, Emily has had the best year: Gone Girl, GQ, Cosmopolitan, Yamamay, Vanity Fair, Ocean Drive, and so on. She'll have two movies coming out in 2015 (Entourage, We Are Your Friends). Though technically born in London, she clearly identifies as an American model, so her cover wouldn't be out of place if the issue happens to have an American theme. In my mind, it's a no-brainer, but given a few other possibilities, I say there's about a 50% chance she gets the cover. Hannah Ferguson, 4:1 odds Although she didn't win Rookie of the Year, Hannah's bodypainting shoot was really popular. The preview pics on Route 66 showed three kinds of SI models: Sara was too little, Ariel too much, but Hannah was...oooh, just right. Another American model who fits the mold of a buxom blonde cover girl. Nina Agdal, 8:1 odds Even though she shared the cover last year, there's still a fairly good chance Nina grabs a solo cover this year. MJ Day's love for Nina is well-known. This will be her fourth appearance in the magazine, which is about the same timeline that Bar, Brooklyn, and Irina had. Although she's not an American model, I still think there's a good chance MJ's fondness for Nina could put her on the cover. Other veteran or group cover, 12:1 odds Few other veterans have the star power needed for the cover. Kate Upton is one, but she's had two covers already and there's been no sight of her in this year's sneak peeks. Irina had her cover and I don't recall any cries for an encore. Other veterans like Lily, Genevieve, Sara, or Gigi are included in this group, but even in aggregate their odds are low. Finally, the odds of another group cover are relatively small since they just did that last year. Beyond that, Emily DiDonato and Hannah Davis are likely candidates, as they're fairly well known and could possibly carry the cover in the right setting. (I think the idea of inset models eventually getting the cover is bunk.) There's always a small chance a rookie could grab the cover, but even Erin Heatherton probably isn't well known enough to land an SI cover right out of the gate.
  20. our most recent list has 15 models returning and 6 rookies, which seems about right. there were 24 models last year, the most ever. the previous 10-year average was 18.5, so 21 total models for the 2015 issue seems in line.
  21. i dunno if there will necessarily be more. six rookies is about right. in the 10 years from 2004 to 2013, there were six rookies per issue on average. 2014 was a bit of an aberration with 12 rookies. i would expect they'll have both fewer models and fewer rookies this year.
  22. there have only been four editors. jule campbell edited the magazine from the beginning until 1996. the next year elaine farley took over and that was the first swimsuit edition that was 100% dedicated to swimsuits (all other issues still had sports articles in them). tyra was on the cover. elaine farley also did the 1998 issue with heidi on the cover. after that, diane smith took over in 1999. mj day was assistant editor around that time; she was hired because she liked to travel, not because she had any experience with fashion or art. diane smith edited the magazine until 2012. mj took over beginning with the 2013 issue. so yeah, the comment about how the magazine turned around 15 years ago coincides with diane smith's reign, and now mj's, as she's largely maintained the approach diane had.

  24. in case the 113-page thread is too much to read, the poster above compiled the relevant info on one site: http://www.rsvlts.com/2014/12/23/si-swimsuit-2015-news/ (i'm sure the lack of credit given to bellazon for doing the work behind their post was just an oversight that will be remedied shortly)
