ranking the rookies, just by what i know if them now: rose bertram, by a wide margin hailey clauson erin heatherton the others--i'm not sure what MJ was thinking. maybe trying to widen the demographic? as for who is leaving, i'll be glad IF kate upton's not in the issue. i'm still expecting some special feature with her this year. MJ is just too enamored with kate to let her go without a big send-off. i wish bregje had another year. girl's backside was on point and she exuded sex. i hope cris urena comes back. the others either were non-starters anyway (marloes, VVDG), had disappointing shoots compared to their SASI work (lauren, natasha) or it was their time to go (anne v, kate) as another thing to compare, i'll throw in my disappointment that yara khmidan wasn't picked--she could've been a great one for SI!

i'm most excited for emrata (obviously) as well as hannah ferguson and emily didonato. i don't find many of the other veterans that enticing at this point. some of them have been around for too long; the others are named jessica gomes and she can do whatever she wants. rookiewise, from what i've seen of the casting calls, i'm rooting for bertram rose. she's no shanina shaik, but she's probably the closest we'll ever get to someone like her in SI. i know of erin heatherton from VS, was never enamoured with her. but she'll probably be good, hopefully better than lily and izabel. hailey clauson looks promising and will help most people get over the lack of kate upton. ashley smith is a total wildcard; i don't know what to think of her or what to expect. i expect robyn lawley will get a lot of attention for being the "first" plus-sized model in SI, so good for her. she's another one i'm not too familiar with, so i'm anxious to see what her shoots look like. as for solveig, i'm baffled. not the girl i would've picked as the MVP from the recent SASI / world swimsuit group. did xenia not pick up the phone?
i think i'm excited for one rookie. the others, eh. of the rookies from last year, i wish cris urena was coming back, but i know she was pregnant. hopefully she'll return in future years. lauren mellor in my mind was added to the list of models who had better pics in SASI. will miss bregje. did not understand and will not miss VVDG.
so there was much to-do about Anne V being in the issue for 10 years. but 2015 is the 9th appearance of irina. she's one of the few models to stick around for more than a year or two after her cover appearance; this is her 4th year after her cover. i would've been fine if she hadn't come back, but maybe she has a big following overseas. it's also the 8th year for jessica gomes. 6th year for genevieve and chrissy. in my mind, five years is about as long as anyone should stick around--turnover being preferable to longevity.
She's definitely in. The stuff I've seen is amazing, by the way. All of the photos have been awesome, so I can't wait for Feb 9! Not that this would come as a surprise to any of her haters, but Chrissy's was the only one that is pretty terrible.
