  2. This thread moves so fast! I have not been able to read all the comments, so I'm sorry if I skipped responding to someone! I have to still push what I said in my original post about who should be cast as Nadine; Amber Heard!!! 'Shine, yes I did watch Amber in the Rum Diary! She is so gorgeous, I could not look away. Her acting isn't superb, but it really is good enough. She played the role of a millionare's tropy wife Quite well, essentially she'd be playing a similar character if cast as Nadine. You don't have to be Meryl Streep to pull it off, you just have to be good enough- There are so many characters in Belfort's autobiography, that Nadine really will just have to be the every man's sexual fantasy...sex on a stick, charming, character. She would not be one of the main characters, at least not in the style that I believe Scorsese would direct it. I think Amber played her role so well in the Rum Diary, she really has the elegance, charm, and blonde bombshell look all in one. Charlize is one of my favorite girls, but Nadine was in her early 20s... I think Amber would be so suited. Let's see who Scorsese goes with! I've also heard the theories about Lawrence playing Nadine. Personally, I think Lawrence can be quite beautiful (although she does not make that her focus--WHICH I LOVE ABOUT HER BTW) but I don't know if I see her being naturally charismatic and sexual enough. But hey, who knows? She could surprise me. I still gotta stick with Amber. Thanks for all the photos of Leo
  3. Anyone that's cast as Nadine Belfort will have to be all about sex appeal and will have to have a certain charisma. She was a model, she was sassy, perfect body, long long legs, she's the typical wall street man's girlfriend/wife. She's a trophy and likes being one. Basically a sexual fantasy and portrayed as being what every man wants. At least that's what I got from the book. I think Amber Heard would work well. Let's just say that you want the effect of someone like 'Ginger' (sharon stone) from Casino, except younger. And more of a shallow model. But in terms of Charm, glamour, 'it' factor, very similar. I would go for Charlize or Amber Heard. Probably Amber, because of her age and undeniable screen presence. The woman that plays Nadine doesn't have to be an excellent actress, because her scenes will probably be about sex appeal, but to be in a Scorsese film she still has to do a good job and portray sexy in a tactful and smart way. I think Amber can pull it off and sell it. She has a way about her. She has to be good enough to not stand out as the poorest actor in the entire cast yet doesn't have to be so good that her aim is not to be overlooked. If that makes sense. What about the other characters? Denise? Patricia?
  4. was that bike riding sighting in ny? not sure if he's still there but my old roomie saw him at Shake shack in madison square park this afternoon.

I've never been a fan of her acting or her look, but I've warmed up to her look after Snow White and the Huntsman. Pretty!
  11. Really? I can see it! Maybe I have to make it smaller? Thanks for letting me know! Scorsese does usually get his female leads right, and he doesn't pick the overly obvious choices. I think ScarJo would be an obvious choice, and while I think she is a stunning woman she doesn't always impress me as an actress. Charlize is brilliant in all ways but I think it would be too safe of a bet for him. One of my favorite female leads for Scorsese has always been Sharon Stone in Casino. It was all just so very brilliant, and Stone played her part so well <3 I also ALWAYS love Scorsese's soundtracks. I think it's so underrated how a movie's soundtrack and the music played with certain scenes, actually make the scenes. I can't even start on all the epic scores lol, Goodfellas...A Bronx Tale... the Departed... Casino... oh it's never ending.
  12. Leo is at 1Oak often! And I don't blame him, I absolutely used to love that spot when they did tight jean tuesday's (not as skimpy as it sounds, promise). Leo is always partying with a diverse crowd, diverse in both color and background.
  13. Of course the actress that is cast as Nadine doesn't actually have to resemble Nadine, but here's a picture of her... Ironically enough, I think a younger Kate Winslet would be perfection for the look. And I'm not just saying that as a Kate & Leo fan, I really love Kate with blonde even now, but a few years back... so ideal!
  14. Thanks Katch! I can't wait for them to cast the different roles. I def. agree! who's going to play Nadine? I've read on IMDB or another website before that Rosie Huntington Whiteley and Blake Lively both tried out to play Nadine. IMO: Yuck!!! Rosie, cannot act to save her life and Blake Lively can do nothing more than be Serena V. I'm sure there are a lot of Blake fans in here, especially considering how she Dated Leo and all that, so no disrespect-but I don't think there's anything wrong with admitting flaws in celebrities or models you might like, but it's my opinion that Blake cannot act. She was horrible in the Town, horrible in the Green Lantern (although that movie was horrible), and Savages looks like it's going to be an utter joke. I have faith that Scorsese will not cast undeserving actors/actresses. In good news they did cast Kyle Chandler a while back (hello FNL Fans ) I absolutely love him and I think he will be great as a FBI agent. Jonah Hill is very interesting casting too. Ahhh, Leo is always in such superb movies.

I don't understand why she and her people made it such a big deal in that interview she did. I understand not wanting to talk about it but a simple "no comment" would suffice. Instead of the coy "no" or controversy creating remarks. Congratulations to her, she's young (although older than me) having a child makes you grow so quickly and in such large amounts. I'm not knocking her or saying she's immature, but even the most mature people grow in such large volumes after having kids
  21. No, I haven't read anything more about Devil . I know the guy who wrote Satori says they are presently working on script , so I guess that is still on. Have you read Devil ? Thanks for the info Ox, I'm glad there's some movement on that tip. I have read the Devil in the White City, and I really enjoyed it! I have also read the Wolf of Wall Street, and this book presents such a good opportunity, and with Scorsese directing I have no doubt in my mind that they will do it right. I'm intrigued about Leo playing Jordan Belfort, it's very much an autobiography and we will get to see Leo play one hell of a prick. Anyone who hasn't read the book, look into it! You will not regret it.

I've had pretty much nothing positive to say about Kate, she's not my taste but I like this. Everything about it. the colors, her legs, the fresh American chic vibe. She doesn't look like she's trying too hard to be sexy and it works for her.
  23. adriana said she couldn't do the show because of vs? I didn't see that. i'm totally not contradicting you, just curious. I only saw the tweet where she mentioned doing to show next year. Also I think Erin and Adriana have very different V S contracts. Yeah, I was thinking that they probably have super different contracts. But I think it was Savanna, who posted tweets and translations/explanations of why adriana couldn't do the show. I'm too lazy to look back in the thread, but if I'm wrong- sorry! But it just makes no sense to say you can't do it because of VS, maybe it was a mistranslation, thinking back I think it might have been. Because why would she promise to do it next year? Unless she's not doing VSFS 2013, which we all know can't be the case. Sorry for the Adriana talk in the ERin thread, I'll stop now! But Erin is looking awesome lately, I'm growing to like her a little more.
  24. I actually don't think that Django Unchained is going to necessarily make Leo 'looser' but I think that it will make him more creative. Tarantino is known for letting his actors dive into themselves with creativity much more than most directors. I think that we'll see Leo from both an acting stand point as well as a creative/directing stand point. not actually physically directing, but I hope you guys get my point. Nothing about the characters in the tarantino films are really "loose" though, so maybe what neon meant was that he'll be more wacked and wired (in a good way), but still nothing short of complex! Just my opinion Does anyone know when Leo might plan to do something with his purchased rights to Devil in the White City? now there's something to already be excited about! I'm also excited for another Scorsese and Leo collabo. The wolf of wall street? Oh god. why must we have to wait. My favorite director! Scorsese and Leo have such a way with each other, makes me smile. this is the most time I've ever spent in the Leo thread, you guys are much more relaxed and drama free. I might stay
  25. neon I definitely agree about Django! Tarantino is one of my favorite directors, and over time I have taken such delight in observing what he has the power to do for so many actors. He's such a liberating force and he preaches individuality. I love it so much! Cannot wait. and about the Gatsby, I think the visuals in the trailer were mind blowing, it felt like you were at a Party! I just think he went over the top and missed making it look like a Gatsby party. But hey, all we've seen is one trailer. I hope the next can change my mind! I think it was so intelligent of Luhrmann to cast 'Amitabh Bachchan' as Meyer Wolfsheim, he is a bollywood legend and his charisma and mere presence is going to draw so many more to this film. Makelt I love claire danes too Ah 2012, great year for our Leo boy!
