Isabeli is one of my FAVORITE models as far as editorial work goes I think the girl needs help with her red carpet style though!
  2. What's weird is that I think Adriana tweeted that she wasn't allowed to walk the show because of contractual obligations to VS, but at the same time she stated she would walk it next year (which makes absolutely no sense). But I'm wondering, if her reasoning was true then wouldn't the same apply to Erin? or are they subject to different contract details? I wouldn't be surprised if Adriana was lying, because even though she's my girl and I love her. She seems to fib a lot when convenient. It could easily have been that she didn't want to do the show 7 months into her pregnancy.
  3. Because in America especially, the celebrity is more important than the model. Which is displayed by even being witness to who graces American Vogue. It's all about star power, VS launches the current day "Supermodel". They are the girls that over time are given the main stream exposure and media coverage to be able to eventually land American GQ covers, or be featured on SI Hot Clicks or Ask Men, or ESPN much more often. Also, it's the VS girls that date the rock stars and athletes (not to say other models do not) but I just think their popularity main stream wise, gives them much more catalog work as well as slots reserved for known women/models. Superbowl ads for example...or being featured on a Show (How I met your mother, Ugly Betty, etc) interviews on talk shows... all these things help them get booked more for work , not necessarily high fashion work, but work that's relevant to contracts that pay out, or exposure. and I really think that in America- Television, Movies, and Sports dictate everything in relation to who's getting paid and who ranks at the top. Look at the Maxim lists or the FHM lists, the girls at the top are the ones most relevant (biggest blockbuster to come out... a popular show... etc) I mean not to be rude but how on earth would Lea Michele rank amongst the top or be on that list at all otherwise? These lists and polls are ranked by the women the average person is exposed to. More people watch movies, listen to music, watch television, and keep up with main stream culture than they do keep up with fashion, or high fashion models. FrenchKiki is right, this isn't the age of Evangelista, Moss, and Campbell... high fashion models have taken a back seat to the current day mainstream culture. And the majority of models that really seem to be able to keep up with the mainstream are the VS angels, and some of the SI models.

I'm a Bulls fan, so a Heat vs Celtics match up in the Eastern conference finals is basically a nightmare. I do loathe the Heat more, and as much as I want the Celtics to win game 7, I've been saying that if it goes to game 7...the Heat have this one. LeQueen wasn't going to lose the last one, I don't think he's letting them lose tonight. For the Celtics, I have to applaud Garnett for showing up to this series...and even though I didn't entirely discount them. No way I thought they were taking the Heat to game 7. Good work. OKC vs Celtics = OKC Win OKC vs Heat = OKC Win I have no problem with Durant getting a ring

  6. ^ Those pants, :yuckky: what were you thinking Rosie! I can forgive her, since her candid style is almost always perfect. I have to say that her acting is truly horrid.

Did anyone go and watch Snow White and the Huntsman? I went just for Charlize. How beautiful was she in the beginning scenes of the movie? with her hair down, walking down the aisle... she looked like such an Angel.
  8. I hope so Kat Django Unchained is going to be an Oscar contender For Sure. I'm not a huge fan of Foxx, as far as his acting goes but Christoph Waltz and Leo? One of them will be nominated without doubt. I'm so looking forward to seeing what Leo can do with a role this complex. I'm also simply looking forward to what Tarantino can bring out in Leo.
  9. Hi Ox, Yes I know Luhrmann hasn't done too many movies. I'm a huge movie freak, so I keep up with most directors lol. I enjoyed Strictly Ballroom too, but it came out before Moulin Rouge! And I was saying that I don't think he has done anything worthy since - and as you said, it had been a while.. I had much hope for Australia, but upon watching it...I was pretty underwhelmed. For me, Romeo + Juliet was a massive fail. I think it's a matter of personal taste though, in some aspects I appreciated the modern take on an old Shakespeare tale, but it didn't do it for me. I'm just scared that he's going to go over the top with the Great Gatsby. It's one of my favorite works of literature (along with many other F. Scott Fitzgerald pieces). Although Luhrmann captures the theme of excess, liveliness, and luxury extremely well in his trailer...I really think that he's not going to hit one of the core foundations of the Great Gatsby and Jay Gatsby's character, which is the art of subtlety. It's a principle theme in most of Fitzgerald's works. I guess we'll have to see, I will for sure watch it and I really hope Luhrmann can prove my doubts wrong!

  11. Lol I'm not a fan of any of the girls on the list, thought to compile a list of girls I personally think to be mediocre. I use to love Fox's look, but I agree. Plastic. Megan Fox (9) Sophia Bush (10) Kim Kardashian (9) Nicole Richie (10) Jennifer Aniston (8) Julianne Hough (10) Katherine Heigl (10) Olivia Munn (8) Blake Lively (10) Cheryl Cole (10)

Loooool! You don't think the poll is "necessary" and so it shouldn't exist? I personally don't think half the polls on here are necessary, but it ends with "I think". You sir, are being ridiculous. To be fair if it bugs you to such a wild extent, avoid it. Good day.
  14. Hi BarbieErin! I Love your avatar! Perfection
  15. You Leo fans are so dedicated. Love it! I see so many Gatsby avatars and sigs, I'll be honest, I do not have much optimism for Luhrmann's version of the Great Gatsby, as I think he has done not one worthy thing since Moulin Rouge! . I do however think Leo looks flawless in the trailer, absolutely flawless. Drool. Personally, I am more excited for Django Unchained. Way too excited. Counting down already... and he looks wicked!!!!! Leo playing a villain in a Tarantino movie

Quentin Tarantino's new film 'Django Unchained' is one of the most anticipated of this year!!! The first official trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s next film, “Django Unchained,” was just released and it’s an all-out hoot. This “Southern,” starring Christopher Waltz, Jamie Foxx and Leonardo DiCaprio, is a tribute to Spaghetti Westerns with enhanced Tarantino splatter. The trailer opens with Johnny Cash singing Ain’t No Grave (Can Hold My Body Down) from his classic, late American VI album. From the soundtrack and Waltz’s first, arch interaction with Foxx, you know right away that the tone is perfect. In two-and-a-half minutes, Tarantino lays out the story of a slave turned enthusiastic bounty hunter. It seems to have elements of the Fred Williamson’s blaxsploitation parody, “Boss Nigger,” mixed with the light hearted buddy comedy of Mel Brooks’ “Blazing Saddles.” Here’s the complete synopsis for IMDB: Set in the South two years before the Civil War, DJANGO UNCHAINED stars Academy Award ® -winner Jamie Foxx as Django, a slave whose brutal history with his former owners lands him face-to-face with German-born bounty hunter Dr. King Schultz (Academy Award®-winner Christoph Waltz). Schultz is on the trail of the murderous Brittle brothers, and only Django can lead him to his bounty. The unorthodox Schultz acquires Django with a promise to free him upon the capture of the Brittles dead or alive. Success leads Schultz to free Django, though the two men choose not to go their separate ways. Instead, Schultz seeks out the Souths most wanted criminals with Django by his side. Honing vital hunting skills, Django remains focused on one goal: finding and rescuing Broomhilda (Kerry Washington), the wife he lost to the slave trade long ago. Django and Schultzs search ultimately leads them to Calvin Candie (Academy Award®-nominee Leonardo DiCaprio), the proprietor of Candyland, an infamous plantation. Exploring the compound under false pretenses, Django and Schultz arouse the suspicion of Stephen (Academy Award®-nominee Samuel L. Jackson), Candies trusted house slave. Their moves are marked, and a treacherous organization closes in on them. If Django and Schultz are to escape with Broomhilda, they must choose between independence and solidarity, between sacrifice and survival Foxx plays the title character, his name an homage to “Django,” the 1966 Italian-made Western directed by Sergio Corbucci. In an inside aside, the trailer shows Foxx telling his name to a mysterious stranger, who turns out to be none other than Franco Nero, who plays Django in the original movie. “My name is Django.” Foxx says “The ‘D’ is silent.” (Forbes) http://www.forbes.co...lazing-saddles/ I cannot wait to see Waltz and DiCaprio OWN this!!!! DiCaprio playing a Tarantino villain, oh my :wub2: :wub2: :wub2: :wub2: My heart almost can't take it! Lol

Snow White and the Huntsman. It was what I expected it to be, entertaining but not necessarily a great film. Man oh man is Charlize gorgeous.
  25. Agreed! I don't care for Ale one way or the other, but if it can't be Doutzen...then Ale. I also think doutzen's cleavage would look HOT in any fantasy bra. Love that girl. MissLima, true Ale has never worn it! but if you think about it, by the time Candice is anywhere near that age...Adriana, Ale, Miranda, and Doutzen will be out. They really have no choice but to go with Candice, because even though I personally don't feel she matches the previous angels (personality wise especially) she is better than the rest of the new wave of girls (Erin, Lily, Lindsay, Lais, etc) But maybe by then Palvin and a few other worthy girls will be angels.
