  3. On the "Team Fashion" Nominations List, #56 Taylor Hill and #57 Taylor Marie Hill are the same person.
  4. In the opening 45-seconds of this clip from "California Girls" (1985), Martha Longley is the "California Dreams" cosmetics model whose commercial entices Robby Benson into booking a vacation to California.
  5. I think all of those pages were from Glamour (USA), probably in the early 1980s.
  6. 1987 Cover Girl "Extremely Gentle" mascara ad starring Martha Longley:
  7. @BlueAcadiaAnette Stai looks great in the three "Elegance Paris" (1982) layouts above photographed by Rico Puhlmann. I hadn't seen those before - Thanks!
  8. Thank you! (Correction: I meant to type two "Ford Agency" models, not "Elite Agency".)
  9. Requests for two Elite Ford agency models: Martha Longley Joan Gocha (mother of actress Kate French).
  10. Team Models: Elsa Benitez Cindy Crawford Cristina Ferrare Vendela Kirsebom Kelly LeBrock Team Celebrities: Penelope Cruz Catherine Deneuve Elizabeth Hurley Sophia Loren Michelle Pfeiffer
  11. Link to one of Jeanette Hallen's 1987 appearances on "Star Search" in the "TV Spokesmodel" category (unfortunately, her First name was misspelled): While the format of the judging for the "TV Spokesmodel" category favored past and future "Miss USA" contestants, a number of fashion models familiar to Bellazon members also competed, such as Micaela Sundholm in the 1985 "Star Search" Finals.
  12. Laura Ballard competed in the 1987 "Star Search" "TV Spokesmodel Category" competitions. She won a couple weeks, and became one of the semifinalists (losing to eventual grand champion Theresa Ring). You can find a couple of her appearances on YouTube under "Star Search 1987".
  13. Other notable "Vintage" fashion model siblings that come to my mind: Frankie Rayder and Missy Rayder Denise Hopkins and Tammy Hopkins Tricia Barnstable and identical twin Cyb Barnstable (aka, the Doublemint Gum twins).
  14. Denise Hopkins, who also had "Cosmopolitan" covers. She has a Models thread, courtesy of RocketQueen... https://www.bellazon.com/main/topic/89823-denise-hopkins/?tab=comments#comment-5224677
  15. As a student of history, I wonder if it is known when & why "Fashion models identifying by only their First name" became a popular thing, and why it still continues? A) Vanity/Hubris? I.e., I am so established, I need to only use my First name? Well, it's one thing if one truly is internationally famous plus have a unique name, such as Veruschka (von Lehndorff), Twiggy, (Lesley Lawson), and Doutzen (Kroes), but for common names as "Alexandra", "Naomi", "Adrianne" I don't see the point. B) By contrast, actresses always go by their First and Last names, even if they are internationally famous plus have a unique First name (e.g., Salma Hayek, Alyson Hannigan, Demi Moore, Paz Vega, etc.). I'll note that Terry Farrell was usually credited as "Farrell" when she modelled, but when she switched to acting she was always listed in the credits as "Terry Farrell".
  16. #1 (Lancel Paris ad): Looks like model-actress Jayne Modean (Ford Models).
  17. Yes, I think this is Lisa Ryall.
  18. It could be Lisa Ryall, given the 1980-date and the hair. But I can't ID the model with both of her eyes closed... 😞
  19. The blonde in the spoiler image is Lynne Austin (Playboy Playmate-of-the Month, July 1986) who is different than the Bourjois model.
  20. I think Susan Smith appeared in Cosmopolitan (USA) issues circa 1977 - 1978.
  21. Joan Bennett is probably best known as Playboy (USA) Playmate-of-the-Month (January 1985).
  22. Model-actress Cindy Harrell. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0364082/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
  23. Link to CNN - Business June 24, 2021 lengthy article "Victoria's Secret 'Sexy for All' Strategy Boosts Sales and Shares", which is a good business read (I have an MBA). https://www.cnn.com/2021/06/24/business/victorias-secret-turnaround/index.html Sales and profits at Victoria's Secret are growing. VS profit margins are up ten percentage points during the three months ended May 1st this year compared with the same period in 2019. The brand is also navigating the shift to online shopping. In 2018, digital sales made up 24% of Victoria's Secret's revenue. Now, they make up 44%. (OK, I'm inferring good progress by Victoria's Secret and L Brands on their business turnaround management, even though I was a fan of the "old VS playbook" described in the article as "Push-up bras and scantily-clad celebrity models") 🙂
  24. I think Girl #3 (Redhead) and in the Leica 1986 is Susan Smith (I know, bad name for a Model ID) of Ford Models.
  25. Definitely NOT Cristina Ferrare.
