Chris Meloni, Josh Brolin, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt journey to 'Sin City'
These past few days, "Sin City: A Dame To Kill For", the feature film adaptation of Frank Miller's graphic novel, announced more actors to its already impressive cast. Christopher Meloni, Josh Brolin, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt have all signed up for the project.
Christopher Meloni, as revealed by Deadline Hollywood yesterday, will be playing a cop while Josh Brolin will be playing the role of Dwight. In the graphic novel, Dwight is betrayed by Ava Lord, the love of his life, and so he goes through considerable length to exact his revenge. Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller, again co-directing an adaptation of Miller's graphic novel, remarked that, "Dwight is a constant character throughout the Sin City world and 'A Dame To Kill For' is a defining episode in his life. We’re looking forward to Josh’s take on Dwight."
Meanwhile, Joseph Gordon-Levitt is no longer attached to play Peter Quill in Marvel Studios' upcoming "Guardians Of The Galaxy". Instead, JGL will be playing the role of Johnny in Sin City: A Dame To Kill For". JGL expressed his enthusiasm for the role by saying that, "I love how the first movie uses VFX, not to make fake things look real, but to create a heightened world unburdened by the look and feel of reality. Plus, nobody makes a badass like Mr. Rodriguez."
Production is already underway and the three actors will be joining the original cast members: Academy Award® nominee Mickey Rourke, Clive Owen, Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, and Jaime King.
Interesting, the titular dame has not been cast/announced.
