When did VS start going outlandish on their costumes? What year?

I'm a bit bummed out that she didn't make it to the VSFS this year.

I think if you look at one of the early sketches for Exotic Traveler, it was originally named "Spice Trail". Which fits with the locals people are guessing on. Here's a pretty interesting quick history of the Spice Trail. (if I can get the link right.) Also, like someone said a few pages back, (Forgive me I can't remember names) what do y'all make of the comment in the casting vid when Ed said something like 'I'm not so sure about her yet." And John gasps and turns to him while the girls both gasp. Could that have been Lindsay? Another question: What song do you think VS will have the girls lip synch to this year. Wasn't last year's Trouble by Taylor? (god that sounds like another of her perfumes!)

That's the only thing I can think of as to why she's not been cast in the show. I know last time it was said she was pretty nervous in front of the group.
