She was though. Working with St.Luke and that boxing place for kids in Brazil. She used to work with those orphanages and other things she has done. It's just that recently we haven't seen her do or talk about any of that anymore. But are we really surprised that NOW she isn't doing this? I agree, all she seems to do now is rant/ramble against her job or about someone in her life who makes her unhappy. I think thats why she lost alot of followers (and probably fans) after posting that quote, all she has done lately is complain and come off as miserable instead of empowering, nobody wants to see that from somebody as fortunate as her. Nobody wants to see that when they aren't used to from her. I am sure whatever is making her miserable is actually removable from her life. If she doesn't make that choice to put an end to it, then that's her fault. Whether its a person or her job, she can do something about it. She shouldn't throw all the negative energy out there to others, because its going to do nothing but come back to her. I sadly agree basically.Except, if Adriana just wants to RETIRE. Thats fine. Nobody can make her continue to work. The problem is how she handles it. She should just do it. Make an announcement or something. Leave with Grace and warning. Be professional. Its the right thing to do. She shouldn't just allow herself to decline. Nor should she start playing games with the industry: one day she wants to leave, another day she doesn't. That just isn't fair to the people she works with and for. I never thought I would see the day where Adriana comes off as so unambitious, ungrateful (despite her claiming that she is in a late PR statement), and honestly miserable. That's never been her. Like you said the regression is amazing, she spent her earlier years coming off as a by far better person, doing and focusing on the right things. She waits until she is almost 40 to undo all of that. To let her personal demons and relationships take over areas of her life that they shouldn't. But we shouldn't be surprised at this point, we already concluded that something caused a negative switch. Its just a shame.
  2. Souled-Out replied to Neo52285's post in a topic in Adriana Lima
So what do you think it is? You think she no longer has the ambition to continue her job anymore? Obviously I can see that too. With the way she has been acting and saying towards anything that has to do with her job (The VS fashion Show Last year, Fashion Week, Social media, even staying fit like she usually does for her job. She only worked out before going to Berlin, but you can still tell she gained weight and lost muscle) she has been acting unusual towards everything. We can fairly conclude she is not the happiest right now, so that could be affecting her, slowing her down indirectly. But we have to be honest and say since around November is when it really started. In the start of December she was better. Then in the middle of December, she caught the world off guard, and then towards the end of the December to now it has gotten worse. I just want to know if she realizes all this or not? Like does she not see how she has come across? Does she not have a clue how all of this looks in other's eyes, thats not her own. Has she even attempted to see that, has anyone attempted to tell her? Because its important when you are a public figure. I wonder if she knows this but brushes it off. Or does she just not realize Even members who defended her alot here said something about her is now rubbing them the wrong way. That's why I still consider: maybe her career has been like this because some people in the industry could be turned off by her now. For Adriana her personality and who she was on the inside, was everything. Its what people in the industry highlight. It was always apart of her charm. Its funny seeing what she said to jourdan, as if her inner beauty never got credit. It has, always does. Her fans always talked about how they loved her inner beauty. So has VS and designers like Marc Jacobs. Adriana already is a model who had proven her inner beauty. So IDK what "change" she is talking about, maybe with Jourdan its different but who Adriana was on the inside has always been known and you can tell it helped her. But she has slowly been tarnishing that reputation because she has been different If she is gonna do this,I hope she is atleast spending that time trying to actually focus on making herself great.I saw last week, she has been liking and looking into stuff about self love. And I guess thats what she was trying to do while her She had space. But, it takes more than 2 weeks alone, to regain self love and getting better. It also takes more than 2 months (she stayed married to herself for just a month or two). Anyways, I am dwindling back into her personal life sorry, I just can't help but feel like her professional and personal life are clashing alot right now
  3. Souled-Out replied to Neo52285's post in a topic in Adriana Lima
About her career, thats what we mentioned on the last page. For one, she is at the age where her career starts to slow down. However, I personally do think Adriana herself is making this process quicker, not just her age. I think she has the ability to keep going just a little more.... I agree, it feels like so far she is taking two steps back in her career and her personal life(judging how upset and angst she comes across right now). I understood it later year because 1. VS asked her to work for them more than usual last year. We all know, when VS starts calling, everything ends up on hold. 2. She had that new show, she had to film it and then promote it. So, last year, I understood why she didn't do as well career wise. But Right now...She is contracted with maybelline so ofc there was that one event. But VS hasn't asked her to do anything. The show hasn't started season 2 yet. She has been home more. There is no reason for her not to be working more. I am not sure if its the industry itself that is slowing down on her now, or did her IG post affect her, or if its her own personal life and feelings getting in the way. Because like you said, it seems her professional life and personal life is in the same state, they are starting to intertwine (which is why alot of fans talk about her, beyond her career now). Like, take in what she said in her ig post AND the comment she wrote to jourdan. It seems like for whatever reason Adriana is uncertain with her career as a model now and herself. I also agree its like she is in a life crisis. We know SOMEBODY has attempted to guide her, but to be honest, every since they came in, that's when all this negative stuff happened. But, i'm trying to leave that alone! But anyways, She clearly isn't happy. She isn't looking happy. She isn't doing anything (from what we can see). I don't know whats wrong with her, but something is. But its not only the industry that doesn't wait for anybody, LIFE doesn't. Her career is not the only thing that she is potentially ruining sadly. Like I said before, her mental health and her family are other factors. she should save and reclaim all those aspects in her life while she still can before time, her life and her career pass her by...These things can all pass her by IDK what she has going on and what exactly is causing her to be this way but its really starting to take over. Its even hard just still trying to be a fan of her and support her like we usually do these days. This is why I found her IG post, about being pushed not to give a damn, very ironic. Alot of her fans feel like that right now, thats why I said as much as we want to care and worry for her, it seems like she doesn't herself, so that's makes fans feel like we shouldn't neither and we have to sit back and shake our heads. But we know regardless of how she is being, we know we actually should be concerned. Because we can all see that something isn't right as of now. However, we aren't her, she has to do the things to improve her life and her mood. All we can do is hope and pray

And real meaning of destruction also, the most important to realize out of all
  5. Souled-Out replied to Neo52285's post in a topic in Adriana Lima
Well, she just doesn't only "look" unhappy now. It looks like she also feels it too. We have been hearing stories from people who met her recently about how nice she has been to them and all. But thats honestly probably just her, not taking out her own personal feelings on other people. She probably knows that the fans and strangers she meet doesn't deserve her taking out anything on them. After all she is Brazilian, have you ever met a depressed/non-joyousness brazilian? Its in their nature I think to try to come off warm and happy when they meet people, but it doesn't mean they aren't capable of feeling upset or not happy. I'll stick by my assumption that something is wrong with her. Only god knows whom or what that post was about.
  6. Souled-Out replied to Neo52285's post in a topic in Adriana Lima
I explained why I haven't been coming off as nice. But K.
  7. Souled-Out replied to Neo52285's post in a topic in Adriana Lima
I don't appreciate always having to explain something to you, especially when I am trying not to talk about it anymore and I stated that I am trying. I am not getting enjoyment out of any of this, believe it or not.If I am coming off rude, that's why. So i'd rather you not understand because I am a Sagittarius (its hard for me to shut up once someone gets me going) everything about this upsets and disappoints me as as fan, as well as others, so its another reason why you see others talking about it alot.Or why our change of tone changed around here. I haven't said half of the things I really wanted to say to be honest. That's just me/some of us/whoever you are specifically talking to. If you're not like that, thats fine.
  8. Souled-Out replied to Neo52285's post in a topic in Adriana Lima
The last three pages in her General discussion section included discussions about her career, but OK. lets pretend like it didn't. literally the whole reason why people so many people started to dislike him so much was because they think her relationship with him has spilled over into her career as well as other aspects of her that deals with how her fans feel about her as a person. Even the media has made that correlation. Hell, even he admitted to that. All of this has already been explained here. You don't have to understand it and if you are that sick and tired of it, you may want to stop talking about it yourself.
  9. Souled-Out replied to Neo52285's post in a topic in Adriana Lima
All we have done here is state our observations and opinions, there isn't a goal behind doing that. This is a forum. We are allowed to use it in the way its meant for. Its where you go to discuss and share things related to her, especially her career. Which this stuff is
  10. Souled-Out replied to Neo52285's post in a topic in Adriana Lima
I didn't realize you said this because I didn't read your whole message. But lets get this straight, they were TURKISH fans and TURKISH people who did that. Below I was able to post the turkish fan screen shot of Adriana checking his profile, ironically after I posted it here. The person went private but I am not lying, this was the turkish fan https://www.instagram.com/lizrosagallica/ You know how those turkish fans do with Adriana. Non-turkish fans here and regular social media fans don't use special apps to see what she is doing. We see who she follows/unfollow and what she likes because IG just gives that to you, its apart of IG, and that's as far as we will go. And you know what has sparked turkish people to do this, because metin himself is turkish. They are digging that deep in her SM to see if she had been looking at metin's profile. Thats what the photos below show, her looking at his profile (they are no longer below because after I wrote this, the user went private but the photos from the app had been up a week). Anyways, it happened and they did this to adriana on the same week he chose to open up his mouth again about her. Don't rant to us, like its our fault that her boyfriend keeps opening a can of worms.Thats the whole reason we were bothered by him constantly talking to the press about her or doing stuff that he knows will catch media attention and draw people to their relationship even more. And he only did this because of breakup rumors and Adriana noticeably wasn't following him back. Combine all of that, people from turkey are going to stalk adriana like this. Every since those breakup rumors Metin himself wasn't allowing for privacy at all. He has been doing the opposite, he keeps leaving cryptic messages to the media about the state of their relationship, which will spark people, turkish media, and turkish people to dig into their relationship and social media activity. He knows this.People here have been saying this the whole time. The only reason why us non-turkish fans know this is because it was in her tagged photos, she's tagged. I didn't even show this until now, and I never did before for a reason. I don't agree with how far these people went neither with the apps and what not. But the whole reason this is happening is because metin was so determined to prove they didn't break up and everything is so good despite not following each other. His sneaky IG activity and talking to the press has lead them to stalk her hard. Adriana isn't going to get privacy from her relationship, as long as her boyfriend refuses to allow for her to have privacy. The privacy isn't going to be there when he keeps talking to the press about her and stuff like that. People here have been saying this for weeks, so don't rant towards us about it, we knew Adriana wasn't going to get privacy after that

I will say, it looks like Lais was also in Paris for just one day... That doesn't really help with seeing Adriana remaining in a toxic relationship. But it helps in figuring out the "bonjour" stuff. Lais did the same thing and stayed just as long as Adriana..
  12. Souled-Out replied to Neo52285's post in a topic in Adriana Lima
She wasn’t always unpredictable. Adriana has said and done things that have surprised so many people since the being with him and this is one of those things. Calling this specific “ discreet” and “ private” is being nice
  13. Souled-Out replied to Neo52285's post in a topic in Adriana Lima
She also said something about work on that same day. Which is one of the plenty of reasons I am disappointed in her. We don't know for sure but I feel like she purposely deceived people. MAYBE she did do some work on that ONE day. But it honestly seems like she was traveling and she just wanted people to think something else. Like how she has been viewing his profile even though she isn't following him (a turkish fan had used some app and somehow they are able to see her looking at his ig stories and stuff) and that time she liked his post he made and then quickly unliked it. I think she must be aware of how much her fans and honestly everybody else is looking at her badly because of her relationship with metin and how she continues to be in a toxic relationship. I think she has been purposely trying to be more private and discreet because she knows nobody except for his family really likes her being with him and she knows her fans and even her ex- sister in law have good reasons for feeling this way about him. Hell, she felt the same way at one point. I could be wrong about the motive of why she posted that IG selfie and why she also posted an IG story about work even though she went to turkey instead. But to me, it seems like it was one of the many ways she has tried to draw less attention to her relationship with him. Thing is, she shouldn't have to do that. She shouldn't have to fake/pretend like their relationship is at one stage when its really at another. She is tip toeing around about it. If you have to ALL OF A SUDDEN start tipping toeing around your relationship with someone (she wasn't before), that means you shouldn't even be with them. But whatever, NOBODY can make adriana clever about her decisions. Nobody can make her do whats actually right for herself, her children, and career. She remains an unpredictable person with Metin. And we really don't know who she is anymore. I mean people are still saying she is so nice and so kind. So we know that much, but when will adriana choose to be wise over kind? Sometimes, you gotta be smart and considerate about your own self, or atleast her family before just constantly forgiving or brushing off the bad and suspicious things that someone has done.
  14. Souled-Out replied to Neo52285's post in a topic in Adriana Lima
^ Those are the last times you will see me expressing concern for Adriana over all of this. And I hope other fans who have, follow suit. I will remain scared for her kids because they are just kids and I know about the horrible things that Joe ended up saying about them after he and adriana broke up (not surprisingly because we also predicted something was not right about him), and how obviously either metin or someone in his family/friends made a page trying to blast their aunt and make adriana dislike her But As far as Adriana herself goes with all of this No matter what, we should continue to make effort to being mute about him and honestly them. And even if we find something else concerning that he/his family did, like when he liked that comment about changing her. Or when him/someone in his family created that page against tamera, the fans who noticed that and were scrambling trying to make sure she knew because we thought it was important for her to know, don't try that again. Because Adriana is someone who has this logic: She liked this yesterday, it was written by I believe someone who is in his family, it translates to "Don't judge someone because of your past everybody is different". What that really says is no matter what happened to you, never learn the lesson and don't make someone work to prove things to you. She clearly also has the logic of pressing "rewind" on things in her life that should have been "deleted" (like she did those photos of him). Lets be honest, Adriana is too grown for that. Too grown to be naive to think all the multiple bad things that happened in her relationships, just happened. Too grown to think she shouldn't use those bad things as examples and be more careful. She is never careful. The older she gets the more reckless she becomes with dating. Proof of that was the Matt situation. You can't be that way when you have kids and stuff, You do have to have a guard, if not for yourself, atleast people around you Adriana has alot at risk with this: her mental health, her kids (they have their own dad, they don't need to be around mommy's bf. The last time she did that he said horrible things about them to other people after Adriana broke up with him), her career, friendships and other relationships. However, she isn't acting like it, so I can't continue to worry about someone who refuse to worry about themselves. The last time I will be talking about metin, them as a couple, and be concerned for her. I will still pray for her and her kids because thats just the right thing to do but thats literally it.
  15. Souled-Out replied to Neo52285's post in a topic in Adriana Lima
Looks like you have to start praying for those kids right now. They already literally looked uncomfortable around him, well Sienna did

  17. Souled-Out replied to Neo52285's post in a topic in Adriana Lima
I agree and this is not me/us being selfish fans. We aren't saying this because we'd be angry if she made the decision to retire soon. If Adriana herself and only herself doesn't actually care as much for her career, then I respect that and accept it. If her career ended today, I would be very proud of her (I already am). Like Sophie said, Adriana has had a great career (it can be even better because why limit her? lol), but its iconic already. But since she had to have a statement released clarifying her IG post, I doubt she wants her career to stop right now, and she didn't realize what her statements/action may look like to some people. Its about her unconsciously leading her career in a direction she didn't mean for it to go
  18. Souled-Out replied to Neo52285's post in a topic in Adriana Lima
Its not just one post. I said it was a combination of alot of things she has done since the end of last year that have caught people off guard. If a person changes their thoughts on something and they change the way they talk and some of the things they do, that means they have changed in some way. You don't know have to know someone personally to see that. And I know I am not the only fan with my POV on those things. And as far as Gisele being the only model her age who makes as much as her, again, thats before all this stuff happened. Everything was fine until November of last year. Literally before then, Adriana was saying things opposite of what she did at the end of last year (hello, thats called a change). So it doesn't matter. Adriana being on the Forbes list for 2017 is in the past. All her accomplishments that year, its in the past. Everything before November 2017 is in the past. But in December 2017 she said/did somethings that was crucial. But she did it while on a break, and she is just now getting back to work, so now we have to see what that will do to her. We literally have to wait and see, but one of the things I figured was going to happen already did. We all have to wait like @4BWL said.
  19. Souled-Out replied to Neo52285's post in a topic in Adriana Lima
Exactly, life is too short to act like that IG post wasn't controversial and like it wasn't everywhere. It was everywhere. She had to release a statement over it, thats not some "regular dumb post" that is a post that got alot of attention and everybody who knows her, knows about it. Take in what she said, and the fact that she literally wouldn't even post about the VS show last year until it aired (because she HAD to by then for the ratings). Those actions just makes people draw bad conclusions about her and they may not want to work with her anymore. Like you said, because she is older now, she would be at a point where her career is getting slow. But Adriana shouldn't do anything that could make it completely stop. Being blackballed, does exist and it can happen no matter how old someone is She CAN go on for a few more years greater. Some models her age and little older are. Ale already has a Vogue cover out this year. And other fellow models who are her age/older are also still getting signed for new campaigns and stuff. But this is all rare. And those few models who are still here and still getting success, they aren't saying/posting anything that is career and image threatening. They haven't made people think they changed for the worst. Thats the difference. And it should be obvious, thats the key to continued success. Just be true to yourself and never come off as ungrateful, even if its by mistake.I am not saying Adriana isn't grateful for VS and the industry, but in her statement she had to say that she was grateful. So that means, she found out it looked like she wasn't and like she was dissing an industry that gave so much to her. I just feel like she is walking on thin ice every since this If it wasn't for all the things that has happened since the end of last year, I wouldn't even be worried.
  20. Souled-Out replied to Neo52285's post in a topic in Adriana Lima
I didn't say she didn't go to the gym anymore. I said she doesn't express/show the same interest in fitness. That says alot for someone who tends to be expressive. There is a difference. You put questions marks for number 3 but how many fans have came in here saying they feel like she has changed but they aren't ready to admit it because that hurts to admit? Multiple. And it doesn't just stop here, I know a few fans feel that way.
  21. Souled-Out replied to Neo52285's post in a topic in Adriana Lima
Popularity exactly, but that popularity does not come easy. She hasn't had many commercials so far, but things like social media makes up for that. But her lack of posting earlier on has already come in to affect. Also, she is another year older, that alone makes it easier for her career to slow down. We know Adriana is stunning and aging well. Sadly, the industry is ageist, like you said. And thats the thing, She has been blessed so far to get where she has, Its rare for models her age to still be around anyway She is literally blessed. But what made those blessings was Adriana being the opposite of how she has been as of late. 1. Younger, because we all got older in time 2. She showed more interest and passion in her industry as well as fitness 3. Just being the Adriana that created a massive fanbase(The strong/feminist/religious stuff). 4. Consistent social media activity. These are the things that helped her maintain, but she has been lacking this lately. The main point though, is don't give the industry another reason to push her to the side unless she is ready to retire. We have to remember the announcing ig post about taking clothes off is also another thing that could affect her. As well as her sudden change in attitude towards VS compared to 2016 and july of 2017 (In 2016 and early 2017 she expressed excitement and happiness about working with them, then she ended up having to give a PR statement because it looked like she was leaving and turning her back on them in November-December ). Some of her actions since like November could all pile up and work against her, instead of for her. She can't afford that, because Its not like Adriana is at the start of career, she is closer to the end. To be real, its easier for the industry to not care about her these days because of the way it works. So, she has to be more careful than she has ever been.
  22. Souled-Out replied to Neo52285's post in a topic in Adriana Lima
Because she went so long without posting anything, thats why I kept mentioning her ignoring posting... Candice has posted atleast once a day since the show, thats enough to keep things moving at a consistent pace. Adriana went MIA as far as posting goes after Christmas. She was liking stuff but it was like she was ignoring posting. That's going to put a stall on things. Thats why I was saying when it happpened, I hope it didn't effect anything. Because I remember when Candice did the EXACT same thing in 2016.Her career hasn't been the same, yet. And Candice is just now getting many followers back and gaining followers at a normal pace, even though she had been posting more all of 2017. But it literally took a year for her to regain that. I know followers shouldn't really mean nothing. But we all the industry today. We all know people today. So this only alarmed me because, I felt being that way about social media also affected Candice's popularity (no offense to her) and things like that. Her stepping back put a stall on more than just her followers. These things can effect someone's career. But the thing is, Candice had a good reason for that, she was pregnant/a new mom. I understand somebody pregnant taking a step back from everything even if it will affect their career. Adriana wasn't pregnant. She isn't a new mom. And looking at Marko's IG, she wasn't with her kids on some of those days. But she couldn't even bother posting for new year. Even though for 2017 new year, she even went live. She didn't even want to post during the VS fashion, she only posted an old picture instead and it quoted you know who. I know it SUCKS that social media is such a factor these days, especially in her career field, but it is what it is. I can only hope that her relevance and career aren't also impacted by the way she was being on social, like it has impacted others.

^ I think Madison is a big fan of Adriana. She has been following Adriana for years on IG. She is probably very happy to have met her.
  24. Souled-Out replied to Neo52285's post in a topic in Adriana Lima
yeah.. Adriana has avoided being pregnant out of wedlock alot of times lol. She didn't look pregnant at any of the other events. Its just the dress. Facially she has been looking really good. I lovee the pics taken of her in that gold shirt. And people have been saying good things about her attitude and how nice she has been, so she is OK I almost can't blame people going there with the pregnancy thing because she is clearly still involved with Metin. Every since he showed up, she has been unpredictable. I was on the website ohnotheydidn't and they posted the post he made on IG when he was in miami. That post caused them to ask "has anyone else ever dated anybody creepy?". Because of all the things he said just because of some breakup rumors. Not only in the IG post, but the scientist stuff, that has nothing to even do with Adriana. People on that website aren't even major fans of Adriana like we are here and even they feel like his behavior and they things he say are worrying. Literally everybody is creeped out by him. Imagine what they would have said if they would have saw those posts Adriana started to honor him, or knew of the other things that he did. Then she had to block him once apparently. That makes it even more creepy, if its true she had to do that. The last time I seen that was when Karrueche had to block chris brown on there, and we saw how he would not let that girl go (a user here said they had the same fear for Adriana) but anyways, I digress, I know we agreed to not talk about how negative and scary his presence in her life has been, Sorry guys. Its just if it wasn't for her dating him, I think other fans would feel like they knew better. But its obviously the dress making her look that way for me
  25. Souled-Out replied to Neo52285's post in a topic in Adriana Lima
You know who she looks like in his pictures? 90s Eva Evangelista
