Well, my thing always is how it makes her look and the affect it could have on her career. I realize I am in the minority who thinks her lack of social media activity will impact her actual career. But I look at it like this: If she isn't working. If she doesn't have any new material coming out. if she isn't being seen. If VS isn't use her, how can she expect people to remember and continue to care about her? Esp at her age. Its just not gonna happen on its own.You all can argue that social media is nothing for her (even though I don't think thats entirely true, she got somewhere before social media but all the greater things she gained in the social media era says something) but what you guys can't argue against is that some kind of popularity and relevance is needed to keep a career in the industry ,you have to actually do something to maintain that. And right now, Adriana has absolutely nothing going on to keep that going for her. Her last saving grace would be social media, but she is lacking there too. Unfollowing = Lost of interest. Thats been happening with her in and outside of social media. And this is what I mean about the start of a decline. Popularity and relevance just doesn't keep itself up. And the speculation amongst her fans of why she has been lacking all of this and seeming so careless about her career and being professional (her bf influence/presence or to teach some "lesson" to her fans) doesn't help making her look better neither and its another thing that throws fans off from her. Its a double negative, unless she is ready to retire, something has to give.

Kate moss is a known former drug addict. Some speculate she still does drugs by her actions these days(partying, fighting on planes).. Lol. So, I don't think image is the motivation for her lack of social media. Probably her age or something. I can see it being important for Gisele, but Gisele is also very smart when it comes to her brand and career. So ofcourse, she does what she is supposed to. I think its important because she is a model people have mentioned social media about with. You mentioned the prime of her career, and her career was at its best in 2014, right in the middle of social media age. And Last year she was nominated by models.com for "social media" star. Her last GQ cover, was about social media stats. She gains from it, so I think if it can give her things, it can take away things if its not doing well. For sure her followers will slip obviously they have, but it won't be the only thing. obviously her own image becomes at stake too because of how she chooses to approach social media. Like I said, she doesn't have to quit or silence herself or follow back every model, but be smart about how she handles it and do it safely. Don't give people room to look at you badly. Even with her lack of posting it leaves a bad impression because we think she isn't posting because of a guy or because she is resisting to because she knows that what some fans want to see from her.

Honestly, since she isn't even working she could atleast be posting something. Thats another thing about social media, we wouldn't have to miss her as much. Before social media, Adriana was a younger model AND VS used her alot. So, we didn't have to wait that long for content from her. But now she is older, she isn't working, we all know VS isn't using her right now, a decent post on her social media would be good. But like I said, she is either purposely refusing to share herself or lets not forget, Metin is still with her. And she does lack posting when she is around a guy. So, maybe she isn't giving social media/her followers a hard time, it could be because he is there... Thats scary because, Metin doesn't seem like a busy person. By the time he leaves Adriana will be at 11.5 million followers again. But I can't fully say that he is the cause because he posts all the time still.. Why would she not post because she is so busy with him when he finds alot of time to post something? So, it may not be because he is around. All I know is, she is underestimating how her habits on social media impacts her. I won't call her a disgrace to social media, but I honestly don't understand why she can't ever be normal on there? Why can't there be a good balance of content? She doesn't have to leave social media. She doesn't even have to silence herself there. But it would be nice of her to approach social media in a way that won't make her supporters feel stupid for supporting her the way they have. I think every single thing that Adriana has said and done on social media that was "problematic", could have been handled in a much better way to where its not easy to talk badly about her. She does NOT have to follow back fellow angels, but she could have unfollowed them at a time where it wouldn't have been obvious. I guess she can share her personal career decisions about not talking her clothes off, but she could have done it with clarity and disclaimer that she wasn't talking about VS. She doesn't have to post a selfie if she doesn't feel cute or something, or if she is too busy, but she could post throw back/random pics of her past OR most recent work (like Maybelline). If she wants to post a quote to express her feelings, she can do that, but if its negative, don't leave it up there for more than a week and turn people away with the bad vibes. I don't understand why is it hard for her and her team to run her account in away that will prevent damage to her?

^she is a model. Thats always my main point, social media apart of her job now.Even as a public figure it is. Gisele is semi retired and she is Gisele it doesn't matter at all for her. Kate moss is in her 40s, she is kinda retired herself. It doesn't matter for her neither. But Adriana is not kate moss. I think its necessary for her. I think that her follower count will not be the only thing that is declining if she keeps this up. You see how her follower count is going down at the same time she isn't working? The industry barely looks at adriana as a 00's model, even though thats what she is. They have made it clear she is moving along and fitting in with the industry today. So, just like models today tend to be affect by social media relations, so will she. Adriana isn't half retired like Gisele and Kate. She can't afford to just not be on there, especially if she is still a VS model. Thats big to them. There is no VS model that doesn't use social media. Lol it makes no sense to tell her to be like Kate moss, Kate was a 90s model. It makes more sense to compare her to Gisele who is also a 00's model, who also has a social media. To call her a "disgrace to social media", uhh. I can see why you said that. Because Adriana is sometimes either very transparent on there or so confusing with her actions, she comes off as bizarre. Like there is no inbetween with her. You can either read her like a book via social media or she does things that makes you question her. And its like why does she has to be that way? Why can't she just be normal about it like everybody else? Why can't she just do this one things for her followers who support her? For example, her most recent post, I am going to be honest and say I feel like she just posted that because she needed to post something, and it was good. Whatever anybody opinion on the matter is their opinion, but it was a positive thing and it was empowering. But to be real, I feel like for some reason Adriana is purposely avoiding posting "interesting" stuff. Maybe because of her comment to Jourdan (Jourdan mentioned social media )? I can't really rationalize that, it just feels that way to me. Its like, she doesn't want to post what people/she usually does on social media but she knows she has to post something because its been a long time, so she went with that quote While that was better, thats also annoying. Because I feel like she is just giving her followers a hard time. She knows what they want to see from her. Literally in the comments I see fans begging and she refuses to post those things. I feel like most of the time, Adriana is like that, thats why she never had as many followers as she should. Its like she thinks her fans shouldn't care so much about what she posts on social media and how much. I also think she fails to realize that in the end its REALLY going to affect HER more than anybody else. Sure, her fans may be disappointed by what she posts or lack of posting, but in the end of the day, its her who is gonna lose followers. So its gonna be her who may experience a decline in her relevance and career. (How ELSE are people supposed to remember she exists. She isn't working. VS isn't using her. Literally how else do people suppose to remember her) and this will cause a decline in her success. Causing a decline in supporting herself, her family, and her boyfriend. I don't think Adriana ever looks at the bigger picture of things. She does things without looking at the affects and who it can negatively impact in the end or what kind of person she may look like.

Update. She is still going back towards 11.5. Her last post was better in terms of leaving a quote on her page. Like I said, its better that the first thing people see when they go to her profile is a positive quote, not a negative quote. But, the decline is still happening and now her "Daily Average" gain, which is how much she gains each day is dropping more too. It went from 1K, to 900K to 800K I think this is both because of what she has been posting and the lack of her posting on her feed period. Not everybody is going to see IG stories, so it doesn't help. Its not some "problem" in the system, other models and people are fine. And its honestly obvious why she is losing so much.Its not like there isn't a reason for this to be happening, its not mysterious. No work has been done/Came out + She hasn't posted anything related to herself on her profile, she hasn't provided anything for people to keep interest with her.

^ Well, I have never been candice's biggest fan. And I have admitted in the past I watched how both Adriana and Candice were towards each other on social media. And I did say when Candice was younger, she rubbed me the wrong way with her attitude towards certain models. But I also admit that I don't think she is like that anymore. I think as she has gotten older and has become a mom herself and wiser that she gained maturity and REAL wisdom. Like its natural. She seems more mature and I think smarter about her career and image and how she is towards certain people/things. I mean, yeah Adriana isn't family, But her name has significance in VS. You can't do anything with malicious intent to somebody like her without others reacting.The last thing Candice or any of the other angels should have done, was add fuel to the fire that Adriana started. When Adriana did what she did, Candice particularly was already in Belize. She was far away from VS. Same for the other models.I don't think VS instructed them anything. I am sure she and all the other angels made the decision to not react and not unfollow Adriana back, because they saw that Adriana herself had already caused alot of commotion. Them reacting to it would literally cause even more. They knew better. And I am not gonna try to knock models who actually know whats best to do when you are a public figure and your survival in this world depends on what you do publicly and how you treat people So, I don't think its about forgetting how Candice was. Its knowing how she is now. Its also knowing how Adriana is now, she is a whole new person to us. She is taking step backs in life. Everybody else is moving forward and trying to protect their brand. Adriana is moving backwards and she doesn't give a fuck anymore. And no, I am not saying this just because of her unfollowing angels, I am taking into account the whole IG post thing and her activity as a model and public figure and as person(because someone who was a close friend obviously spoke out against her changing). Someone just talked to me today, they saw Gisele had a new Vogue Italia cover, and they were like, "Gisele is semi retired, ofc Gisele has always been Gisele, but why can't adriana just be a little bit as active with her career now too." I told them, lol we are asking for VS events, Superbowl events, Fashion week stuff and Vogue Covers.... Asking for all of that when Adriana won't even post herself on her social media anymore, let alone do something more solidified for her career. She just doesn't care and thats the difference between her and everybody else right now. Atleast Candice also has kids to worry about and tend to, she also has a boyfriend that she is with now, but she still getting shit done at the same time, so that her career will be alright after she gives birth again. Adriana has similar circumstances but she is doing the opposite, so yeah, people are gonna forget how Candice was, she has positively grown and is starting her own business and stuff. She isn't my top favorite model but its the truth

Nope, because I don't think they give older angels that anymore. lily was apart of the campaign but lily is still newer compared to Adriana. Its just not meant for the older angels to do it I think lol. Who knows when Adriana's next VS event will be. I doubt they will be opening more stores because the brand is said to be declining. Its true that they always style her good and do her makeup so well but part of the reason why Adriana's career wasn't that good last year is because she did have to work for VS way more compared to the other later years. VS gets in the way alot... but it doesn't really matter this year I guess because the year hasn't started off good with Adriana's career, it might just be worse than last year. So I guess she may as well get called up by VS a few times. That's if Adriana is going to spend the rest of the year, the way she is right now. If she still wants to work regular jobs, I prefer VS back off a bit.

Thats not weird. VS hasn't been doing much themselves. People have been complaining about that in the official thread. They have been working on things that the old angels aren't usually apart of. And Adriana went a whole year without doing anything for them before. And tbh VS is just using certain New angels. Alessandra went like 2 years without having to do anything. And they have only shot for V-day and some beach stuff. Typically Adriana only got used for VSX. I think her and Ale got that campaign last year because it was ale's last year and they already posted alot for it. But VS hasn't been doing too much themselves anyway and they have only worked with certain angels.

I think the timing of his post is ironic. He has been there for almost two weeks. And he actually never posted Adriana. Yes, he showed her dog and miami. Ofcourse. But he finally stopped sneaking photos of Adriana. Then his followers slip very noticeably and thats when he does it. Thats why I said it was ironic, because I could be wrong but the timing was suspect, he has been there too long. Well, she never posted at such a slow rate when posting such a quote. Like when she'd post something like that, the next day its a photo or something. She hasn't posted on her feed in a week and thats the first thing people see. I can't say when was the last time she posted such a quote and just left it there for that long lol. If it was an empowering and encouraging quote, it would have been ok. But some mean quote is the first thing someone see's on a profile? Thats gonna turn people away because its not inviting nor positive. As I said before, its not just one thing. Its not just the one quote. I think its all of this together. Its not just one thing, which is always my point. Its a combination of actions and whats causing them.

I mean... I wouldn't be surprised at this point if something was up. I wouldn't be surprised if she is coming off as too OC. That would be sad though because Adriana knew Russell since 1999. Then again, She has been in the industry and had her fans around since that time too and look how she has been towards it/them. On the other hand, Adriana hasn't been doing anything. She hasn't really went anywhere. Nobody is talking about her because there is nothing to talk about. Thats how we end up talking about what we have, because there is literally nothing to talk about but that. I doubt anybody else has even seen her. She still follows him so I doubt something happened. I just wouldn't be surprised if he was looking at her side ways too. I feel like alot of people are but nobody is saying anything because her family members pretty much admitted she hates that. Which is bad, you don't punish people when they are trying to help you and are being concerned. I could be wrong but I think that's what she does. Someone saying something she doesn't like, even if its to look out for her, and she gets more upset than she should I think maybe her co-workers also know how they have to handle her and are trying to be nice about her. I know her fellow angels are probably forcing themselves to be such good sports. I know the only reason Candice has not unfollowed her back yet, as well as all the other angels, is because its her and they don't want to add drama. (I remember Nick J unfollowed candice and she unfollowed his ass right on back lol). But kudos to them for being smart about it I think her and Russ is still cool. I just have a feeling that alot of people are looking at her side ways right now, who wouldn't at this point? Maybe thats why she is at home so much, because nothing is coming in. Some people here keep trying to dismiss this as something little and will pass, but I really do think Adriana is doing herself and career some damage

He also lost followers, he went from 242 K to 241 K today. And how IRONIC he chose to post a photo of her today after he lost so many followers? How convenient she is starting to decline and he is still around? In the past usually her inactivity didn't cause her to lose so much. But like I said, given how she has been lately, I am sure people are rubbed the wrong way by her lately. And some people may also chose to neglect her because she is neglecting them. Adriana is forever a reflection and female copy of who she dates. This time around, alot of people don't like her boyfriend. So do the math on what that means for her now... She is going to let him lead her into a full on decline. Meanwhile, when he notices his own loss, he makes sure to use her to build back up his following.

She will probably end up going back to 11.5 million because she isn't posting anything on her feed and her last post just wasn't good.

@fieldofoptics We, well I know I atleast, try my hardest now not to talk about metin now because he made it very obvious by his pass actions that he indeed looks on here (Deleting a comment that he liked, that implied something bad about Adriana but complimented him, only after someone posted the screen shot here that he liked the comment, and the comment had been up for 20 hours according to the screen shot. He didn't delete it until it was posted here and we all clearly saw why that was a bad comment). Things like that happened multiple times. So, I am not sure why he feels the need to be on here? Is it because he is looking to see how much attention he gained? I ask this because clearly he is with Adriana, so he isn't on here to see what she is up to, he literally knows her. So, to me it looks like he gets on here to see if people are talking about him in regards to Adriana. I think that's a sign of attention seeking, personally. Seeing what attention has he gained. Because like I said, he doesn't need to check on here all the time. So, I'd rather not give him that attention anymore and more than likely that "power". Because he and maybe Adriana, are reading this and they may be upset sometimes, but they are also probably "laughing", especially him. Because at the end of the day no matter what we say or catch him doing he is still there. I am trying to avoid giving him that satisfaction as much as possible. I think thats why now so many more users here are starting to speak out way more negatively on Adriana. Because we are just trying to ignore him. That forces us to shift our focus back on just Adriana. So, that forces us to realize even more that these are all things Adriana allows to happen. A person can never just be this "blind". Adriana is aware of what she is doing. She may not be aware of how that translate to other people, but she isn't being forced. Don't get me wrong, I still don't care for Metin. I still think he has alot of influence on what's been going on now. I still think all the negative things started happening after she met him. I still feel sorry for her children, because Adriana is usually busy. Time with their mom is precious and not as abundant. But that time gets taken away because Metin just can't meet Adriana in Miami, Adriana has to stop and pick him up and then they both go to Miami. That's 15 hours taken away from her kids. Then when she gets home most of that time gets split because Metin is there and he stays there until he can't anymore because of work. So yeah, all of that and all of the other things associated with Metin, still rubs me the wrong way. But like I said before, nobody is forcing Adriana to go along with it all. She is just as accountable and that is something we weren't ready to admit. But at this point, we have no choice. I can't say Adriana doesn't care about/are against her fans right now, because she was just thanking them some days ago. But I do think its possible she wants people to be certain kinds of fans. Fans who won't talk about her relationship. Fans who won't criticize her and try to stay positive all the time. I used to be one of those. For years I was always the one to say "we shouldn't care about her bfs or relationship because thats the part of her life thats not our business. It is not why we are fans", thats why at the start, I never said anything bad about metin and I hated when others did. But as we all said, her relationship and personal life are colliding with her professional life. And we ARE fans of her because of her professional life (and her usual personality, both have changed, causing her fans to change). So now, we can't even ignore it anymore. And we can't help but to give criticism because so much negative and wrong things have been done. I know it sucks hearing people talk about her the way they have lately, but i'd hope she'd understand that just a little bit. Like I said before, the negative energy and doings that Adriana puts out into the world, will only come back at her. Any kind of energy or doings anyone puts out in the world (good or bad), only comes back at them. And that is my queue to shut up myself lol.

That's blurred. Posting fan art is nice. And its very helpful to the fan, they get promo. Its also fan art of herself lol. Adriana has also done that too. I will say that about her, she does love fan art of herself. She made somebody give them their fan art of her, to her (for free) lol, they were gonna sell it but showed it to her and she wanted it. She came to a fan's house once because of fan art lol, but she didn't take it, she signed it herself for them. I think she was willing to come over just to see it. I do think thats a form of narcissism too lol. Just mild. Unless Adriana or Candice have a thing for art With Candice I also know that when its a fans birthday and she ends up coming across that she tells them happy birthday. Thats really nice, that a real form of communication So I think its cool. But as @toodarnhot points out, not everybody gonna be as lucky. Because what about the fans you miss? What about the artist you never got to acknowledge? Because let me tell you, I know two different artists that Adriana supported on social media, just in different ways. Adriana commented under the first artist's pic and liked it and they made the decision to send it to her. But the other artist Adriana just re-posted his picture. The first Artist still got jealous because Adriana shared that to millions of people and the second artist may have gained more followers (narcissism) and ofcourse more people would comment about the work under her repost. And I rolled my eyes so hard at the first artist because its like, Adriana acknowledged you too, just differently. That's another reason why models/celebs are better off just sticking to acknowledging and appreciating things from fans/admirers/artist as a group.

oh my god. I dislike how much that meant to them but at the same time I feel bad for them lol. They were so sad lol I remember Adriana used to get blasted everywhere for it. All kinds of fan be like "Adriana never does this and that", she does but only like 5 times a year. She never follows fan accounts, she follows some fans on their personal accounts though. So that tells you she doesn't like looking at herself much. But Adriana is one of those who actually has made post thanking her fans collectively along with Gisele. I think Doutzen too. Its rare. Which is a shame

YESS all of this. Same when models or celebs start following accounts made about them or looking at their tagged photos alot. I think thats the most overlooked thing. Fans actually look for that in models/celebs. They get offended when models don't do that as often as others, and its like, maybe because that model/celeb doesn't like looking at themselves all day? Maybe because the worship of them makes them uncomfortable. I have seen models who don't usually like photos of themselves by others cringe when people worship them to their face. It really is a narcissism thing. And the ones whose follower count/activity don't look suspicious and you don't catch them too often liking photos/comments about themselves are the least narcissistic. Its just mind blowing how people don't realize models/celebs who follow accounts about themselves, often fishing through their tag to see and like content of others worshiping them, and also making sure their feed is perfect for more likes and followers, are pretty damn narcissistic. Especially when they do all that, but they never make a post just thanking their fans LOL. They just give a pat on the back to the ones who they can see worshiping them individually. People should side-eye models like that instead of being offended when others chooses not to do that often. They'd rather just make a post every now and then for fans as a group or something, like what Gisele did at one point and some others

Was she not posting often when it did or posting them quotes often again?It doesn't usually happen to her for no reason. If it was, people would have said something here. I have only seen people complain about her followers growing slow here now. If people will complain about slow gain here, they will complain about alot of loss. And people in the official VS thread go on there weekly with this and its been a long time since she actually lost that many. Sure she lost 1k followers but her daily average gain is just 1k. So she is losing as much as she gets

That happens to Ale often, like since last year. She loses followers frequently. Thing is, Adriana has never been like that. Her followers would grow at a slower pace before she just loses so many. I don't think it was coincidental that this is happening after the last thing she posted. People tended to hate those quote posts anyway, ya'll complained about them enough here lol. And lately alot of people have been thrown off by her, So I doubt this helped. If it was something in the system, then everybody would be experiencing it, not just a select few. IDK what miranda does, I don't follow her. But Ale tends to loses followers (some people that is related to how she get followers actually). But The last time Adriana lost alot of followers was when IG was doing a sweep for spam accounts, and everybody's follower count went down. Thats the only way you'd know if its something about the sites, if it happens to everyone. Its not happening to everyone.It happened to somebody who usually doesn't experience that and it does in the middle of all this.

I guess, that does make sense. Christmas, is Christmas, people shop. And when some people think about Valentine's day, they think about lingerie. But they have done VS Swim better. I think they should compromise more to bring it back. VS Swim is way more iconic than V-Day will ever be. Even tho V-Day brings in more money
