Honestly? Because my skin is terrible. It's not anywhere near acne level but it's still kinda gross to have on a picture that represents you over an entire site. Idk, I guess on some level because it gives a level of control over the way I look and am therefore judged. I see. You must have some Photoshop skills then? I've been messing around with it for about a year now I guess, and with the help of some LJ communities I'd say I've gotten pretty far in that time.
