5/29/24 Ukraine: 1. Zelensky claimed that the Russians are preparing another limited offensive NW of Kharkiv in order to further overstretch and put pressure on the ground force. Previous to that some open sources claimed some 10,000 troops in the area and this grouping is expanding in size. 2. A new wonder-weapon crusade- this time Ukraine is lobbying to get the USA to allow them to attack targets inside of Russia with US missiles in the northern front. Sweden will send a large arsenal of APCs to Ukraine . 3. Battle lines are now positional again and Russia accomplished its objective- Ukraine sent in numerous formations from their reserves or other fronts, including the NATO trained units that were burned out and were undergoing rebuilding. Russian army has not escalated the offensive and is opting for a war of position again. Some estimate that Ukraine has 20,000 troops in the area and now heavily outnumber the Russian ground force that made the attack. New Russian formations have also arrived in second echelon but are not attacking. 4. A very real possibility is that Russia does what Ukraine claims and re-open the Sumy front with a similar local offensive, forcing another dispersion of Ukrainian resources and troops.

Cyperpunk has ended its development- there are 0! developers working on it CDPR has 630 developers. 407 people working on Witcher 4 39 working on a Witcher- spin off game Witcher 1 remake outsourced to another company. The rest are working on Cyberpunk 2 and an unknown new IP.

Mad Max : The Wasteland is supposed to take place after Fury Road. So it gets greenlit then we have a trilogy. This means that Anya will likely get casted again as Furiosa. imho she looks better with dark hair. Tom Hardy has aged quite a bit in the face (a lot of new wrinkles) since 2015 - I don't know if he would get casted or get re-casted. Fury Road to me has the best chase scenes ever filmed, just insane and very well made. Recently I re-watched them twice. I noticed that too, the "Nux" actor is now very successful.

I saw that as well- it is just really hard for movies to be successful these days, which has effected the quality. The fact that films appear on streaming so fast makes it worse. Before streaming it could take up to 1 year for a film to appear on DVD or Blu-Ray, so people who were hyped up about films had to see in theater or risk waiting for a year. In the US the movie theater has seen a massive collapse since COVID-19 (it was already declining before that). People don't go the theaters much anymore. Also filmmakers don't have the time and attention that they used to have. Everything has to be produced very quickly which also leads to declines in quality. With action films, the art and industry of practical effects was already declining in the early 2000s and now everything is CGI.
