Like I commented in the HOD thread, it seems like he is the creepy version of Littlefinger. Littlefinger was the moustache twirling, fun to watch villain. The actor for Larys has done a good job though. I found his monologue in Episode 6th to be very dark and Shakespearean.- The "What Are You Thinking About Right Now?" PIP
Daemon is a variation I think of these characters (like so many HOD characters, mostly derivatives). He is kind of a lost soul of sorts, and more and more of his character will be revealed. Of course Jaime was a better character than he. My favorite of Jaime Lannister was his travels with Brienne, and the loss of his hand. This culminated in the scene where he breaks down in the baths. Some of the best character reveals of the show. What do you think of Larys? He had big scenes in episode 6. He too will become a major character in the story.- Interesting Youtube personalities
(198) Dr Scott Masson - YouTube Awesome channel, with excellent college lectures on great literature and fantasy. He is analyzing Rings of Power and roasts/breaks it down extremely well.- The "What Are You Thinking About Right Now?" PIP
Adult R and Alicent will be the protagonists of the story so Emma and Olivia are here to stay. Sir Criston Cole is also going to become a major character. I think the young adult versions of the children will appear this season as I saw the casting. The adult version of the children will all become major characters. As the set up goes some of the children are dysfunctional, in particular Alicents' (Aegon, Aemond, Helenea). Daemon will continue to be Daemon.- The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022)

what's the league of legends show? Yea, the House of the Dragon show is a darker show than Game of Thrones. The CGI and sets are excellent imho. It is more serious and has very little humor compared to GOT. But very well written and well acted. The saga of Fire and Blood does not end well for most of them, in true GRRM style. I think everyone agrees that the characters are not as good as Game of thrones but there are a few standout performances that match the best of GOT: Queen R, King V, and Daemon. King V played by Paddy is award worthy imho and Mily has done very well and gained 1 million followers on Instagram due to this role. GRRM is a great talent, but his work tends to give me some mixed feelings. I listened to most of Game of Thrones book 1. It is brilliantly well written but at the same time, it skews towards being negative. Most of the characters are stumbling their way towards their doom, or at best a bittersweet end. I wish his stories, and characters lead to a better place rather than being overly pessimistic. This struck me recently as I was walking. For most of my life I've chosen interest of history over interest in literature and kept my interest in fiction to games and film. Over the past 6 years I've branched out and find myself becoming much less interested in history and much more interested in great fiction and philosophy. History, is just like GRMM's books- it is amoral and often doesn't lead to better things. I feel rather exhausted after learning the great lessons of history after being fascinated most of life by it. I find that I don't have much more to learn from history, that provides a high level of enjoyment. There isn't enough peak experiences and good philosophy in history. That's how I feel currently at least.- The "What Are You Thinking About Right Now?" PIP
I don't do abs either, lol even though it is easily done. I find it annoying to have a tight midsection all day. Walking/Hiking does abs lightly though.- The "What Are You Thinking About Right Now?" PIP
I just do this as a forever (hopefully) habit. I know my limits (joints) and work within those limits. I walk/hike 9 hours a week which takes care of legs. I could probably use a back machine. I don't know of exercises that target back particularly well and can be done at home. I know that push-ups do effect the entire back, in a half-way level and walking does light work for the back.- BZ'ers talking models at the Bar

Ah, I found the casting for the young adult versions of the kids. cool, they got the guy from the Dunkirk and King movie to play Aegon II. There is a claim (allegedly from the showrunners, I haven't read the article) that the show is supposed to be 3-4 seasons. Probably 3 IMHO given what's in the book.- House of the Dragon (2022)
Finished the episode. I got to say that it'll take another episode or two for me to warm up to these aged up actors. My mind is still connected to their younger versions. I like the children. This new arc reminds me of the Vikings TV show, where we had the children of the first generation being introduced- then eventually their adult forms. So there will be adult actors for all these kids in later episodes. Aegon II is looking to be a future deviant. I hope young-adult Aemond makes it this season, he looks badass and will be one of the chief characters. Clubfoot is well performed and menacing, and utterly looks the part. But wow, such a jump from the previous 2 episodes. It's rather jarring, and it will take getting used to. As a littlefinger derivative he is just as witty but in a very creepy/unsettling way. Littlefinger was a mustache-twirling villain that was fun to watch.- The "What Are You Thinking About Right Now?" PIP
per the exercise discussion, I've been doing the same routine for many years now. Besides 9 hours of walking/hiking a week, I just use a pair of 65 lb. dumbbells at home and do 240 push-ups twice a week. with the dumbbells I do shoulders/triceps, biceps, and forearms. Each group twice a week. Really simple. All the weight lifting/push ups amounts to approx. 3 1/2 hours a week.- The "What Are You Thinking About Right Now?" PIP
I feel the same way, philosophy and great stories that illustrate truth & the greatest experiences get straight to the point.- The "What Are You Thinking About Right Now?" PIP
I recommend it, it's a very good show. Very little wokeness or agenda. It is not up to the level of Game of Thrones during its prime (a 6 out of 5 show, a unicorn) but it is very well made, top tier show. I would give show maybe a 4.5 out of 5 so far. My favorite episode was episode 3. It is a different style of 'Game of Thrones'. The original was full length, highly detailed prose. This one moves extremely fast, with condensed events and a lot of things happening. There are time jumps of years between episodes.- House of the Dragon (2022)
Oh you read the book? I should look at it when I have time. I miss Milly already. She was great as Princess R. Her replacement is a competent actress but I feel like she is very different from Milly, lacking her playful wit. I just find them two different women, and not an older version of the same woman. Her husband straight up is a different guy too. Alicent is a quite miserable woman now. This episode moves super fast. So many pivotal things in just 70 minutes. I haven't finished the episode yet, will comment more later.- House of the Dragon (2022)
