I, Marlow, was recently commissioned by Christopher Robin to go into the Hundred Acre Wood to investigate the stoppage of honey exports from the area. It has been rumored that Pooh Bear has become seclusive and was possibly hoarding the honey. I set out on the Storybook River in a rickety steamer. The trip was dangerous and arduous. At one point, we were attacked by a tribe of Oompa Oopmas who threw chocolate at us. I immediately realized we steamed into the wrong story and backtracked until we found the tributary that took us into the woods. As we entered the woods it was clear something was horribly wrong. Dismembered heads were positioned down the river. There were heads of a tiger, a donkey, a kangaroo, among others. Eventually a small pig like creature rowed up to our steamer. He introduced himself as a emissary of Pooh Bear and seemed to present the bear as a messianic figure. He went on and on with a stutter stating that the other animals did not appreciate the bear's power and genius. He had nothing but scorn for Mr. Robin who he saw as an opportunist who kept the bear and the pig from being anything but child-life, thus blocking their potential. I approached the House at Pooh Corner with fear. But when I entered I found Pooh to be very ill. He has appeared to have endlessly binged on his honey supply and had terminal hunny-tummy-itis. We took him back to the ship but he expired leaving his last words. "The horror, The Horror." We had no idea was it meant and figured he was just being pretentious. As we left the woods we noticed that, without the influence of the Pooh Bear, the woods was reversing to a wild state. By the time we left, the woods were more like a forbidding jungle. Afterwards, Christopher Robin appointed a man named Kurtz to return and try to revive the export business but that is another story for another time. Win for Heart of Darkness

Russia's PMCs have the Bakhmut garrison by the throat, they cut off the Northern supply routes. Only southern/western is left and they are contested the south. So far Ukraine, despite having 60 infantry battalions have been slowly losing ground. If the South is cut off and Ukrainian infantry cannot counterattack effectively,- I think Ukraine will withdraw to Chasiv Yar and the Donbass campaign will continue from there. In the left wing of Z-Oblast, Russian army thrusted forward and took several towns and are now threatening the city of Orikhiv. This front has been quiet for the past 2 months. This is dramatic stuff and I am at loss to understand what they plan on doing next.

@Enrico_sw @SympathysSilhouette Today I finished the audiobook for Conrad's "Heart of Darkness" for the second time and was struck by a few crucial similarities between this novella and the Heart of Stone expansion of the Witcher 3. Apocalypse now is also my favorite film of all time. Same-same but different. Geralt often inhabits the role of Marlowe, as an outside observer who pieces together the mystery of Olgierd von Everec piece by piece. He and Olgierd also has numerous philosophical exchanges like Marlow and Kurtz. Olgierd is quite similar to Kurtz when I come to think of it. A great, eloquent but also savage man. His gang of faceless, cutthroat bandits are stand-ins the African 'savages' of Kurtz. And Iris is very similar to the Kurtz' fiancé, and grieves in a similar way- a never ending grief and a never ending love for a great and terrible man. Also, the title of the expansion: Heart of Stone Heart of Darkness The writers CDPR's team were all english majors it seems lol.

I just bought this Geralt statue to display with the Shani one. I have strongly considered getting the Ciri (winter outfit) statue but the face on the statue doesn't look like her, which bothers me. The default outfit (white shirt) Ciri statue is much better than the winter one because the face looks a lot more like hers. But it is out of production for years and is ultra-rare & absurdly expensive. Dark Horse should re-release it ASAP. The Yennefer statue is really nice but the face isn't good either. The stock photo makes it look better than the actual product. I might buy it anyway though. the dandelion one is great

that's what Last of Us is. : p Besides that, I like how loyal they are to the game- that's the key thing.
