@PinkCouture Is Lily Aldridge still one of your favourites? I remember you used to have her as your avatar when she was one of the new Angels.

@Prettyphile. I feel like at least one model should be that pretty boy type if there was ever a male version of VS.

The other two that I thought of were Marlon Teixeira and Sean O’Pry. Marlon because he is another Brazilian top model and does a lot of body focused stuff from what I’ve seen. Sean because he is arguably the top male model. A little unconventional-looking sometimes but (because of it) photographs amazingly well, very James Dean-esque.
@Limerlight. Is it weird that there have been times when I’ve been… drawn to the first guy?

-
@MarVS Good, three of those names had popped into my head immediately.

@Prettyphile, who do you not approve of?

-
@MarVS, if there was something like Victoria’s Secret for male models, who should make the team in your opinion?

QuoteFormer Victoria’s Secret Model Erin Heatherton Opens Up About Her Struggles with Body Image
By Ashley Ross
April 1, 2016'I got to a point where one night I got home from a workout and I remember staring at my food and thinking maybe I should just not eat'
Erin Heatherton might be a model, but that doesn’t mean she’s immune to feeling bad about herself—particularly when, a few years into her modeling career, Heatherton says she started facing pressure from others to drop pounds.
“My last two Victoria’s Secret shows, I was told I had to lose weight,” she says. “I look back like, ‘Really?'” (Victoria’s Secret didn’t respond to our requests for comment on this.)
Heatherton says she initially worked hard trying to please the people she was working for by eating healthy and exercising twice a day. But while preparing for her last Victoria’s Secret show in 2013, her body “just wouldn’t do it,” she says.
“I was really depressed because I was working so hard and I felt like my body was resisting me,” she says. “And I got to a point where one night I got home from a workout and I remember staring at my food and thinking maybe I should just not eat.”
Shortly after that show, Heatherton parted ways with Victoria’s Secret. She says she went through a lot of self-questioning, wondering what was next for her. She also took that time to really focus on listening to her body.
“I realized I couldn’t go out into the world—parading my body and myself in front of all these women who look up to me—and tell them that this is easy and simple and everyone can do this.”
This idea stayed very much rooted in Heatherton’s mind, and she was inspired to post about it on Instagram, writing that she was stepping away from “hiding behind a fabricated version of” herself:
Heatherton says that, by continuing to share her experience, she hopes she can encourage other women to work toward their own breakthroughs.
“I’m willing to sacrifice my pride, in a sense, and my privacy because I know that if I don’t speak about it, I could be withholding information that would really help women,” she says. “It hurts too much to keep it in, and that’s why I’m not keeping it in now.”

QuoteNEWS/ Candice Swanepoel Is Pregnant! Victoria's Secret Model Expecting First Child With Fiancé Hermann Nicoli
by BRUNA NESSIF Sat, Mar 19, 2016 12:00 AM
This Victoria's Secret beauty is going to have her own little angel.E! News has exclusively learned that blond bombshell Candice Swanepoel is pregnant! This will be the model's first child with fiancé Hermann Nicoli, who popped the question to his longtime love in August 2015. "They are very happy," a source shares with us, and adds that, "They plan to spend the summer in New York."
"She's so excited," a separate source tells E! News, and adds that the timing is absolutely perfect, because Candice, who is currently about to enter her second trimester, has a pregnancy buddy—fellow VS model Behati Prinsloo!
E! News recently reported that Adam Levine and his model wife are expecting their first child together as well, which means a lot of mommy-to-be chats and gatherings between Prinsloo and Swanepoel.
"Candice and Behati are best friends and they are not far apart from each other in pregnancy due dates," the source adds.
"They both have been experiencing the first stages of being pregnant together and are happy to have each other who understand. They can't wait to be mommies!"
Meanwhile, the 27-year-old South African and her beau have been together for about 10 years after meeting in Paris when she was just 17-years-old. They've been together so long, in fact, that Swanepoel is said to have learned Portuguese from her Brazilian beau (perhaps something that will also be passed on to the baby?).
Congratulations to the soon-to-be parents!

So sad to hear an icon who claims to be anti-bullying and not mean-spirited say something like that. Another thing that is sad is she doesn't seem to be taking too well the fact she is aging and is no longer relevant or an A-lister
Thank you for posting this because when I first read the excerpt that @Clauds had posted, I thought that the quote is by Chrissy Tiegen. I was really confused why she would say something like that, it didn’t seem like something Chrissy would say or think. But then your wording tipped me off to read the post again since Chrissy is not aging and she is at a point in her career where she is doing a good job of staying relevant.

Thank you, @MarVS! I love that first shot, it really conveys the fantasy of living a life like that both “inside the picture” and as someone whose job is to take beautiful pictures at fashion shoots.

I think @PinkCouture was referring to her personal life i.e. it was alleged that she had had an affair.

The CEO of Victoria's Secret has abruptly resigned after nearly a decade at the helm of the popular lingerie brand.
Sharen Jester Turney, who has been the CEO of Victoria's Secret since 2006, but has worked within the company since 2000, said the reason for her sudden departure was because of a desire to spend more time with her family.
'After 16 years and a record fourth quarter at Victoria’s Secret, I have decided to prioritize my family and my personal life and consider what’s next for me professionally,' the 58-year-old, who is thought to have been earning more than $10 million a year, said in a statement released on Friday.
'My years with Victoria’s Secret have been the most exciting and rewarding years of my career. I leave the Victoria’s Secret business well-positioned for the next chapter of growth… a strong brand with great momentum,' she continued.
'I take great satisfaction and pride in what our team has accomplished, including tremendous growth and the development of a world-class team.'
Sharen, who grew up in Ardmore, Oklahoma, has been married to her husband Charles for more than 25 years. The couple have a 21-year-old son, Matthew, a student at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, who spent the summer as an investment banking summer analyst at Citi.
She will hand over control of the lingerie company to Les Wexner, the CEO of Victoria's Secret's parent company L Brands Inc.
The suddenly-departed CEO, who was hand-picked by Les to become head up Victoria's Secret a decade ago, will remain an adviser for the company's largest division while the 79-year-old assumes leadership.
Sharen's decision to leave the brand in order to spend more time focusing on her family comes two and a half years after the former CEO was accused of having a two-year-long extra-marital affair with real estate broker Cliff Donenfeld between 2008 and 2010.
According to a report published by Page Six in September 2013, Mr Donenfeld alleged that Sharen had offered to leave her husband of 25 years, Charles, for him - and even suggested that they adopt a baby together.
'I was instrumental in every aspect of her life for two years,' he told the publication. 'I was her sounding board, personally and professionally.'Sharen said if I ended any other romantic entanglements, we could see each other every two weeks.'
Mr Donenfeld further claimed that the lingerie executive also promised to buy him a multi-million dollar home in Florida, however before she could follow through on her vow, the pair split.
In the five years since their alleged affair is said to have ended, Sharen's career has gone from strength, and she is often seen as one of the main driving forces behind Victoria's Secret's continued international success.
According to The Fashion Law, L Brands’ shares dropped as much as 5.5 per cent to $79.35 after the announcement, however, Les has confidence that the brand will continue to thrive under his leadership.
'We are very grateful to Sharen for her leadership and all that she has accomplished,' Les said in a statement. 'Victoria’s Secret sales have increased more than 70 per cent to $7.7 billion and profit has increased substantially during her nine years as CEO.'
He added: 'We have strong confidence in the strength of the brand and our growth opportunities, and I look forward to taking on a more active role and working with the talented leadership team at Victoria’s Secret.'
Sharen was the president and CEO of Neiman Marcus Direct before she became the CEO of Victoria's Secret Direct, the brand's e-commerce and catalog division, in May 2000.
Six years later, she Les tapped her to become the CEO of the popular lingerie brand.
'From a brand perspective, there is just so much opportunity here. I couldn’t ask for a better job or better team,' she said of the role on her website.
Although exact details of Sharen's salary at Victoria's Secret have never been confirmed, it is thought that she was earning in excess of $10 million a year. According to an article published by Forbes in July 2012, the former CEO earned $9.6 million in 2011, while Salary.com estimates that her annual income for 2014, including her bonus and stock options, was $10.6 million.
The family have homes in New Albany, Ohio - where Victoria's Secret is headquartered - Manhattan, and Florida. -

If I remember correctly, they announced Lily as an Angel in the summer of 2010 (July maybe?), so she was signed somewhere around then. Her contract could take her through the VSFS. I'm interested to see whether she gets the Lindsay or the Miranda/Doutzen treatment at the show this year as I think it's her last.
What was the difference between them?

What do you think @Sanni. Weird?
Oh yes, definitely. I haven’t seen the whole interview yet but the beginning is super weird already. She would not be hanging off of Dan Patrick that way if she was not either high on drugs or taking medication that changes her personality or drunk. You could tell that Dan Patrick was feeling uncomfortable and as he started the interview, he had no time for Erin.
And Erin does not look good whereas she looked pretty in the other video that I saw of her when she was on the show. -

Thank you for the description @RIP_Cabrini_Green. Sounds like she was...

I recently watched a video of her on the Dan Patrick show and she was on the boring side for the most part but at some points there was some spark in her.
If she has some personal issues, it could explain why she sometimes seems almost down and hasn’t had much going on after VS. SI seems more like a consolation prize to her.
And I’ve wondered why both times that Erin and Lily have shot for SI the same year, they’ve been on different locations. Since Erin is the godmother to Lily’s child, it might have been fun for SI to have them shoot together for a bit. Maybe Erin and Lily are not really friends anymore.
