Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo won the 2013 Ballon D'Or award on Monday. The 28-year-old Portuguese was selected ahead of Argentine Lionel Messi and French Franck Ribéry. He wins his second European Footballer of the Year award. He also won in 2008. His award comes on the back of exceptional performances for his club side and his national team last season. He scored a remarkable 69 times in 59 matches.
