Just wondering but if you want her work to be recognized, then why are you unhappy when people post it? Nothing prooves here is where they got it from, they might have found it the same way you did. Also, if you share something on the internet, you should be expecting people to use it.

Also, say what you want, but VS is only following a general trend. Everywhere in the fashion industry models are younger and thinner, probably because the brands grew tired of overpaying the womanly supermodels and went for younger and thus less savy and less expensive models. Also targetting younger customers is a rather smart move because they'll probably keep on going to VS stores after they outgrow PINK. Sure the latest VSFS was a relative flop but VS is still making bigger profits every year so I doubt they'll change much of their marketing startegy.

So I was doing what weekly-or-so check if someone had uploeaded the missing parts from the VSFS 1996 and 1997 and I stumbled upon the last missing Desire bra commercial, that of Daniela. The rest are below.

The problem is that from like 1992 onwards, VS has always used its models' fame as a selling point. It went well up until Gisele, then slowly but surely dropped until about 2009 and then shit hit the fan hard. Aside from Candice (who was an instant hit) and maybe Behati (due to having a solid PINK fan base), they all failed. Lily and Lindsay are/were good sellers but never really big draws (despite Lily having both a noted husband and a SI pedigree), Erin and Rosie could have been like Candice but both left quite early on, "high-fashion sensations" Chanel and Karlie failed to connect with VS audiences despite intense promo. The newer crop probably won't fare much better. Elsa has the biggest chance of success due to following Behati's trajectory (i.e. get PINK customers used to her and transition into mainline along with them), Lais, Martha, Sara, Jasmine, Stella & Jac had been used on and off for a while so they may be good sellers while Taylor, Romee and Kate came out of nowhere and didn't really strike me as Candice type hits. Clearly right now, Elsa, Sara, Jasmine and Taylor are getting the biggest push along with a rotating blonde I'd say it's Romee these days. I think VS is done with Kate, Lais clearly isn't getting much love either compared to her resume (sometimes it feels like her Angel contract was given to her now to make up for not giving her one earlier if that makes sense), Martha and Stella seem to be somewhat loosing steam compared to same time last year and IDK what is going on with Jac.

See Clauds's post. The thing is, girls like Lindsay or Vita may not work as press draws but they probably sell very well. VS needs to have some of those in the mix.

That's exactly what I am saying. Lais is there to cater to a certain market, just like every other Angel. She just happened to fit what they needed when they needed it. They had a few black models. They have a lot of pretty blondes.

They shoot everything two to four months ahead of time, so it really isn't all that far fetched to ask them to hide that they've been signed for two months. Especially if they wanted to announce everyone at the same time.

And maybe Candice could share something about her childhood, like where she grew up, she's so secretive about it, it makes me curious.

Kendall's situation is complicated. She has some kind of exclusivity to E! due to KUWTK, so I'm not sure what she is or isn't allowed to do.
