I ADORE Doutzen's wings. When I first saw them, I didn't. After taking a nice long look at them though, I simply love the movie reel idea. BUT... Whatever happened to a nice pair of simple angel wings? I understand the room for creativity, but I do miss the elegance of simple, regal, feathered wings, ala: Adriana 2003 and Ana Beatriz 2005.

I have a hypothesis. Miranda usually gets the better outfits, and I might have figured out why. Miranda is one of the slimmer girls. She’s smaller than some of the other girls. The large over exaggerated designs would overpower her frame and she’d be lost amongst the plastic and fabric. The simpler designs, which are usually the better ones, she can carry gracefully. This idea can also be applied to Doutzen… why does she usually get horridly overworked designs? Because she’s bigger, wider, and can carry the elaborate designs without being overpowered by them. This isn’t to say that Doutzen is fat, but she is more heavily built than let’s say, Shannan Click

Okay, here we go: In terms of sales, their ‘best girl’ is Adriana Lima, closely followed by Alessandra. In terms of marketability, their best girl is BY FAR Marisa Miller. Miranda was a blip on the radar compared to the three I just mentioned. For the record, I don’t like any of the Angels, I’m just saying. I’m being unbiased and just stating facts.

In regards to Selita’s outfit: If you remove those dangly crystals, and the pale part of the train… it looks rather nice. Removing the entire train takes away from the effect they’re going for, but the pale fabric is just making the design look too busy.

By the looks of those caps, I'm pretty sure the quality of the outfits is going to be about the same as last year. I still think if they spent money on better fabrics instead of an elaborate stage, it would improve the quality of the show overall. MAJOR EDIT: Okay... I posted without looking dizzy's post and I must say.... I'm actually getting an 03 feel. O.O That's good... very good...

Question To Those Awesome Members Who Are Going To Post VSFS Pics: What server are you guys going to be uploading the pics to? Just wondering.

I say this very nicely and I’m not meaning to start an argument: Your message seemed very passive aggressive to me, and there’s really no need for that. First of all, I LOVE the VS fashion show and I count down the days till the next one the day after the first is broadcast. I, myself, HATE being jerked around by the company... but in the end… it really is just women in underwear. That’s what makes it funny; how a company has so many people on bated breath for scantily clad models. That’s the humor I find in it. I’m not making any personal judgments, and I wasn’t directing my ‘annoyance and hostility’ comment to any one in particular. Second of all… I didn’t say you couldn’t or shouldn’t critique the costumes, in fact, I LOVE reading peoples thoughts on the show. I was merely saying that I wasn’t going to invest myself in the designs so much, because in the end, the show is for fun. Again, I want to reiterate that I’m only trying to clear up any misunderstanding that came from my last post, and that this isn’t in any way trying to ‘call you out’ and what-not. I’m nicer than I sound sometimes.

I love all of the frustration and anger radiating off of this thread. It’s so funny how everyone can get so worked up over women in underwear and ‘costumes’. I’m not saying I’m not the same way… but if you just take a step back and disconnect yourself from it all, the hilarity is obvious. I was hoping for Maryna and Arlenis to come back, but perhaps that’s asking too much, no? Alas, I’m very excited about the show. I’ve come to the conclusion, that good or bad, I’m going to just sit back and enjoy it for what it is…. Then watch something from JPG or Galliano, because those are the sorts of designs I should be critiquing, not wings made to look like a scarf or a bra with glitter double-sided taped to it. Do I sound like a jaded VSFS fan?

There’s going to be 40 girls on the runway this year? Pardon my French but WTF?! :yuckky: I much prefer fewer girls wearing more outfits each.

I hope my post didn't come off like I was only thanking Pheno and Pretty. I was really thanking everyone who has posted pictures. Hence the 'you guys'. I bet me quoting that post gave off the impression I was only thanking them. I’m appreciative of everyone’s contribution, whether it be information or images.

Like every year, I want to thank you guys for posting the pictures. It's time consuming and annoying I can imagine, and yet you do it anyway. You guys are the best.

I’m definitely pulling an ‘All-Nighter’, I did it last year and I had too much fun doing so. The refresh button was my best friend. I’m more excited about the actual taping than the broadcast of it. Obviously that'll change once I see all the outifts. At what ungodly hour will I finally go to bed? Who knows!
