My brows are pretty much in-between, but the individual hair is thick, so a couple removed and I've got them shaped. I do have Eva Green brows, unfortunately, so arching them is pretty much the biggest pain in the ass ever.

Well, it's all about how comfortable YOU feel about it. There are plenty of people who do it, and plenty of people who don't, plenty of people who just trim, and anything in between. In the end, don't let other people's habits influence you. Hope that helps somewhat.
