Mathilde Hoekstra (born 1977?) After graduating from high school, Mathilde Hoekstra lived and worked in Paris, Milan and Barcelona where she ran shows for Diesel, Tommy Hilfiger and Levi's, appeared in commercials for Toyota and Nivea and was featured in various international magazines. Sge studied Dutch and Italian literature in Amsterdam and Florence. After several years of wandering abroad, she ended up first in Bloemendaal and then in Amsterdam where she now lives with the loves of her life: three daughters and the ideal man. Based on her own life, she wrote The Ideal man in which Evelien (married, two sweet children and a nice job) falls in love with a freebooter, loses her mind and threatens to lose everything.
