OK i figured out why I didnt get called. It essentially was set to only alert on "no content" but since technically it said "DB ERROR" that counted as content I have changed the policy to call me if it doesnt find specific keywords. Sorry everyone

Yea its strange, it would appear Apache couldnt talk to Mysql for whatever reason. After bouncing apache all was well. Anyways I am reviewing my monitoring (which calls my cell phone if something is broken) to figure out why it didnt alert me.

I dont know what the thresholds are but I belive a certain number of replies over a given period of time will mean its "hot" aka popular. Once it drops below the threshold it goes back to normal.
