I left the game thrilled with the win, but there was plenty of head scratching going on as to quite how we managed to grind it out. Despite initially looking good value for the lead, I thought we were distinctly off colour after the break and was convinced that an equaliser was coming as early as the 60-minute mark. Villa looked a much improved side after Albrighton came on, and the amount of times he and Downing ripped into us from wide areas was unbelievable (Jeff). Not sure if it was a rehearsed tactic on Houllier's part or an improvised ploy but the crossfield ball from winger to winger caused havoc on Saturday and will do against plenty of other teams this season. So in short, I'll gratefully take the points while admitting that we rode our luck for long periods.

  7. Well, it was in your thread that I discovered her so I still owe you at least half a one. And Nathali=, if you're reading this, thanks to you too. A question for you - whereabouts in the Netherlands are you from? And finally, a question for your good self, Baron - what do you think of the pedestrianisation of Norwich city centre? Because I'm dead against it.

Don't even get me started on those bloody Montenegrins, lording it over us with their astute game plans, and their limited but tactically disciplined players. How are we supposed to compete? :persuazn: On a side note - if this were really Sam Allardyce's Twitter account, I'd forgive Blackburn for being such a powerful stench on the footballing map. http://twitter.com/TheBig_Sam

^Classic! Not sure if you've heard it but someone burned me a great compilation CD of William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy's combined best ofs a couple of years back. The Shatner stuff is hilarious of course, but best of all is Nimoy's spectacular 'Ballad of Bilbo Baggins' - a stone cold corker of a tune if ever I heard one...

Beatles: 9.5 As Stormbringer mentioned above, one of the best tracks on 'Sgt. Pepper's'. Elton John: 7 I strongly dislike Elton John, but it's a difficult song to cover and this is a decent version. Original x4 Cover x1 On a side note, I'm really kicking myself right now for not nominating this -

I bet that was just one of many, too. Does anyone think the ZFT will be seen or heard from again? The feeling I got was that they would actually turn out to be the good guys, from our universe, fighting the shape-shifters etc from the alternate dimension. In series one, they kidnapped and experimented on Olivia (which was both scary and gross, in that order) but claimed they wouldn't cause her any harm. My impression was/is that they knew about the impending war and would play a part later on, but after that, I don't remember them getting another mention.

Courtney Ford Biography Courtney Braden Ford (born June 27, 1978) is an American actress and producer of short films. She was born in Orange County, California, moving to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Ford is married to Superman Returns star Brandon Routh. The couple was engaged on August 23, 2006, and married November 24, 2007 at El Capitan Ranch in Santa Barbara. Ford is also the stepsister of Roberto Orci and J.R. Orci. Ford described her career as stagnant for the 10 years preceding 2009, in which she considered ceasing work as an actress. However, during what she considered to be her last audition, Ford was cast to play reporter Christine Hill on Showtime's television series Dexter. Ford's role calls for her to frequently appear topless on-screen during scenes with Desmond Harrington (her character's boyfriend). Such appearances are correlated with a rise in Ford's overall actress profile, as reported by the Internet Movie Database's "STARmeter". They do such a good cover version of that. Their other songs are great too. There's a great version of Fever Ray's "When I Grow Up" by them also doing the rounds. (Y)
