Skyfall (2012)
I guess it's like any continuing action franchise in that there's a certain inevitability about the ending. You know Bond is eventually coming back for another movie, therefore you also know that whatever scrapes he gets himself into, he'll be alright in the end.

Well, we had to beat Reading and Southampton and we beat Reading and Southampton. Not exactly the stuff dreams are made of, but it's what I wanted for Christmas. Cheers Santa. As an added bonus, I also beat a Mag fan in the first round of Fantasy Cup this weekend.

Unfortunately I'm no stranger to that particular feeling. 7-2 and 7-1 hammerings against Chelsea in 2010 and Everton in 2007 still occasionally haunt me, and I was fearing another one at Old Trafford last week until our usual too-little-too-late rally towards the end. Villa heads appeared to drop immediately following the opener, which I suppose is always a possibility when you're forced to gamble with youth. Still, from an outsider's perspective, the previous six-game unbeaten run represents progress for Lambert.

Rooney Mara
^Thanks! Word on the street is that the second and third 'Millennium' movies are in doubt, as well as Daniel Craig's role in them. Unfortunate if true, especially after the first one scored so hugely at the box office.

Alice Glass
I will admit to finding Alice's thousand-yard stare mildly disturbing, but I'm a fan of Crystal Castles. I love the fact that they're essentially a punk band, but without any of the cliches of punk.

Thanks everyone. Especially like the Les Inrockuptibles cover.- Football
A physically commanding central midfielder, a quick centre half, a decent right full back and probably our best player of the season so far, 'Broadway' Danny Rose on a permanent deal. Come on Martin/Ellis/Santa, I've been ever so good this year. Judging by their showing on Tuesday, they do indeed look nailed on to go down. You know you've got problems when even a non-entity like Danny Guthrie deems himself too good to play for you.- Survival of the fittest competition, First actress to 10 wins

Mission accomplished against Reading. My heart says that the opposition looked as crap as they did because of the way we played (bearing in mind that they were able to test Man United recently) but my head remains sceptical. Still, you can only beat what’s in front of you and for once in our miserable lives, we did that very effectively. Still in need of reinforcements, hoping against hope that our position doesn’t deteriorate too much in the meantime.- Things That Could Make BZ Even Better
