There are, of course, a multitude of games that think they're funny, but this is undoubtedly the real deal. For me, the 'Saints of Rage' sequence alone was worth the price of the game. -

Even now, those same Hart clangers are being described as 'uncharacteristic errors' by commentators nationwide. Having said that, Bayern outclassed City to such a degree last night that it feels a tad churlish to criticise individuals. They essentially did to City what City did to United a few weeks back.

^I like the sound of that. I like how her stage banter is charmingly awkward too I meant to mention that actually, she told a rather long winded story about an allergic reaction she'd had in an Edinburgh restaurant the day before, that ended with 'they glutened me, the bastards!'
Two (very) short teaser clips have appeared for next month's 50th anniversary special. Perhaps unsurprisingly, there's not a lot being given away as yet.

Though I'd imagine the movie is still in the very early stages of development, they're busting out the teaser clips already. This one gives a brief glimpse of Ultron's robot mush.

I gave it a watch. Probably safe to say that the world is not in desperate need of another TV series about people who investigate things, but I do think it has potential, with some interesting ideas that could be fun to see develop. Hopefully the characters gain some depth in the near future, most feel a bit one-dimensional at the moment.

^It got off to a bit of a rocky start, she was onstage solo and one of her two acoustic guitars cut out completely towards the end of the first number - which wouldn't normally be that big of a deal, except that her tuner pedal gave up the ghost shortly afterwards too. Thus, she ended up playing a partially improvised and slightly haphazard set, with extended breaks for emergency tunings between songs. Her voice always shines through though, it's absolutely timeless. I won't hesitate to go and see her for a third time should the chance arise.
It kicks off tomorrow in the UK. I'm hearing that it's set after the Avengers movie, which for obvious reasons seems at odds with their making Phil the lead character. I'm on board though, at least for the time being.

Another track from the Anna Calvi album appeared online last night.
Yeah, I saw her about 18 months ago when she was touring the last album. Easily one of my top 10 gigs of all time. A guy called Nick Mulvey is supporting this time around, so I'm guessing that means no Marika. Perhaps unsurprisingly, he's a singer/songwriter of the alt-folk variety, though I can't claim to be familiar with his work.
