Hi all. I remember seeing Nicole in WWW pics from the film "Supermodels in the Rain Forest" with Tyra and Frederique back in '95. I thought she was stunning, but haven't been able to find much since. I do have this though:

I'm just curious how you found out her name in '86, given that she wasn't well-known yet back then. Or did you just see that face and become obsessed? And look for her everywhere until you could match a name to it? I might have first heard her name in late '87, I'm not sure. But yes, by '88 she was everywhere. That's when my obsession started. I don't think I've ever seen a picture of her in a swimwear catalog from back then...

1986! That's amazing, cylnz, and welcome! You were two years ahead of me. So far as I know, she wasn't well-known then. Where did you first see her? Her Herb Ritts layout was what did it for me; I'd love to see what pictures of her that first got you hooked on Cindy.

I think the sexiness is the key difference between them. I think Christy's one of the most beautiful women ever, I've got tremendous respect for her and for the taste of her fans, but she never had the same visceral impact on me that Cindy did, and I don't collect her pics fanatically the way I do Cindy's. Who was the most beautiful: Cindy, or Christy?

I totally agree with that comment (esp. about Giselle, lol). The "supermodels" of today can't carry the Jimmy Choos of girls like Yasmeen. Here's what Cindy said: "Model Monday: Yasmeen Ghauri is one of those women who you know will just get more and more beautiful with age. She has a classiness about her as well as a killer body! I love her dark ethnic looks and professionalism. I’m thinking it would be fun to have a “class reunion” with all these women!"

Yasmeen Ghauri. There is a version of this shot with a green slip, which I can't find right now, grrr. I've always wondered if it was a photoshop switch. I like the black slip version better, but then I always like the black slip better.

Between Nov 8 and Nov 9, she chopped off her hair. I am bummed. I'd love to see her go back to the big curls she had when she first became famous - it was such a different look from the other girls out there. Maybe the time for that is over. Still, I think that if a woman over 40 can look good wearing her hair below her shoulders, she should do it!

Thanks, that's what I was after - yes, nowadays with digital images they can do anything, but I wasn't sure how they did it back in the film days. Big 'mmmm' on that Escada picture - I love long, swingy earrings with a long, graceful neck. She looks just perfect; it's one of those "this is the most beautiful woman in the world" pictures.

Re the third one above, how do they make those pictures where Cindy's mole is on the other side of her face? I've seen a lot of them, and always wondered...
