I don't get the fawning over real authoritarian states like Russia or China. The U.S., the UK, much of Europe might be imperfect democracies but I would still 100x rather live there than in a real dictatorship. The fact that this is even a debate is just weird.

I am sure she had very good reasons for the surgery. It's just that some models, your mental image of them is so tied to a certain look that it's hard to appreciate them the same once that look is no longer there. I felt the same about Candice Swanepoel, after the first time she got super-thin for VS, I never liked her the same, even after she regained a bit of that weight.

Are you an Brie Larson fan? I still think she was miscast as Captain Marvel. Both Katheryn Winnick and Yvonne Strahovski would have been so much better. I think they primarily cast Brie instead of those two because she is younger. Which is a shame.

There are estimates that suggest up to 97% of Russia's operational military strength is currently in the Ukrainian theater. I find that hard to believe but there have been some weird instances of the kind of POWs the Ukrainian's have captured in recent weeks. e.g. this: Sailors being turned into infantrymen is not something a country that still has an overabundance of men chooses to do.
