An editorial from Life Magazine - I'm not sure which issue but as near as I can tell, it is from sometime in 1985 The editorial contains 5 large-format pages. I used Photoshop to merge the double pages into 1 image, so there are now 3 full images. I was not able to get the second set to merge quite as nicely as the first - so if B&O Railroad is out there...help? closeups of the smaller pics:

Hi Paulinafan! I totally agree with what you say. She has always been very honest and her point of view is refreshing in the modeling industry. My only criticism is that she points people out by name. I applaud her opinion about aging gracefully and naturally. I also applaud her candor when she speaks about her opinions. I just feel like her comments can be biting and very personal and hurtful to those she names and that is where I wish she would lighten up just a bit. There is an article in the Huffington Post that she posted within the last day or so and she expresses all the same passions but she doesn't name names (as much). I think that is a much more graceful way of making her point. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/paulina-pori...g_b_771127.html

Yes, I agree, Janice Dickensen is really a piece of work. Did anyone see her on that show "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here"? She was TERRIBLE!!! I think she's more than just bad plastic surgery, she's a bit nuts to boot. Anyway...I just think Paulina could be a little nicer about it is all. Here's an interview I found with her - she's still critical, but she's a little bit better about how she presents it here (I think)

Gia Carangi
I was looking through a book today that I've had for a long time to see if there were any other interesting models (other than Paulina) inside and I found this picture of Gia with two male models - I looked through the pages here and I did not see it posted before, so I hope it's new for everyone! I found this on the Internet this morning - seems Paulina's tongue keeps getting sharper and sharper. I do wish she would exercise a bit of restraint when talking about others...

Cindy Crawford
The Times Magazine November 2009 I found a PDF file of the pages - in order to retain as much quality as possible, I printed the pages and then scanned them. The original scan of the pages was not done by me...

I also remember a question if Cindy has any siblings, I don't think I saw the question answered (but again, I'm sorry if it was) - she has two sisters (Chris and Danielle) - here is a Good Housekeeping cover and article about them from June 2000

I don't know if this is a re-post (sorry if it is) and also sorry for the very low quality - but here is the entire cover and editorial from Vogue India Oct 2010. I hope to obtain a copy soon and if I manage to get it and scan it before I see it here, I will post in HQ.

OOPS! Sorry, Jal - that one ended up bigger than I expected. Thank you for telling me. For some reason, using my new scanning software, they are coming out more massive than they used to and I have all the settings the same. Believe it or not, I actually shrink them some before posting too! And you're right - my poor hard-drive is filling up fast! I do think this was one of her first covers. I've seen it a couple of times before in LQ but I'm happy to finally have it. Here's a more reasonable one... and you're welcome, Dayrell, glad you like it!

Again, on Marco Glaviano - one of his favorite things that Paulina could do was the "flying hair." He said "It's a very difficult picture because she had to tilt her head back and up, and then whip it around and come out of it with such a great expression on her face. It's something only Paulina could do." It became one of her signature poses - I found as many as I could in my files...a lot of these were taken by Marco (these have all been posted here before in higher quality)

Speaking of Marco Glaviano - there was apparently some kind of an event in Milan, Italy yesterday called Jazz & Models. Paulina, Ric and Marco were in attendance. Here are a few small pics I found on the internet of the event. Paulina's hair is a bit of a surprise...

Vanity Fair Italy Sept 2010 - an article on Marco Glaviano's photography with several pictures of Paulina - one of which (the first one of her) I had never seen before. Here's a very loose translation of the main heading on page 207 as well as the paragraphs that appear with Paulina's pictures. Again, I'm quite sure if we have an Italian Bellazon friend, they could provide a much better translation than I can - I used my translation widget and then did some interpretation so it made sense.... Pg207 When models delighted men pg207 (caption with Paulina) Czech, 45, top model and actress, married since 1989 to singer Ric Ocasek. In 1988 earned a record 6-million-dollar contract with Estee Lauder. Here and in a release for Vogue Italy in the '90's, in the New York studio of Marco Glaviano "there was no photoshop then, her hair was actually flying" says the Sicilian photographer. pg210 Paulina Porizkova - a top model, one preferred by Glaviano, here with the 5 top models of the eighties for Harper's Bazaar magazine but this picture was not used. pg214 Some pictures of Porizkova taken by Marco Glaviano: she parodies the covers of great fashion magazines like Vogue, Cosmopolitan and Marie Claire and she also impersonates Jack Nicholson. smaller versions of the pages:
