Maddog says that what we're experiencing is a general plague that hit a lot of others at the same time due to the hackers cracking a code in the system set up to filter or slow them. But now he's working on something to auto-ban those that are repeat offenders in other communities as well as greatly slow down their current efficiency so it isn't as bad as what it is now. Also, as a side note, thank you all for your patience and a special thanks for those of you that have been reporting . I need to ask one thing though and I guess it may be reminiscent of being told not to talk to strangers , but...DO NOT, AND I REPEAT, DO NOT ENGAGE THEM. RESPONDING TO TROLLS ONLY ENCOURAGES THEM. It is best to just (while reporting) on the outside pretend as though you don't notice them or as though they don't exist.

I know at least 4 of us delete more than 15 a day , but they're just coming in like a plague for whatever reason . There's at least 8 or more new ones every time I login . Spammers have as much right to register as anyone else as we have no idea who they are until they register, so its a tough issue, but we're definitely brainstorming. The idea of permanently banning IPs was considered, but I think there was a concern that an inocent party with the same IP would be punished. Some random ideas of mine... 1. A trial period for new registering members whereby their first few posts are not visible to the general population until its determined they aren't a spammer. If they are, then they are just disabled, banner or deleted before anyone but the staff sees them at all. Cons - of course I'm not really technical, so I have no idea how to bring that about and of course it is possible that a well meaning member could be accidentily ignored and forgotten. Also, it would probably be a large burden on the staff, but who knows. 2. Moderators be granted banishment powers in the case of spamers. 3. Mod/staff preview be manditory for Site and Forum, Funny Stuff and Milestones forum threadmaking, whereby a thread is invisible initially, but requires mod approval to be made visible to the general population. Cons - the spamers would then just make the threads and posts elsewhere. 4. A minimum post count necessary to start a thread in general. Cons - some spammers make several posts their first day, and also well meaning members with few posts who just want to start a couple threads would be punished in the process.

Its funny that if you did a poll of Miranda or Jessica vs. a lot of the women below them they'd lose (or have lost), but did so much better here , but I guess its like you said, you can't vote against here .

I thought you guys, though significantly worse defensively and line wise, had enough tools to win, but choked/blew it, but since you're from there, I didn't want to just pour it on too strong . But speaking of from there, I lost fifty cents on the Cheifs over the Ravens . I like the Patriots, but I kindof want someone new to win, even though no one's left that can match the feelgood of the Saints from last year of course, but as long as it isn't the Ravens vs. Bears (though either of them vs. anyone else would be cool ) anything should be interresting .

The fact that 3 of the people who usually win your competitions are not in the top 20 suddenly makes me very interrested, Theron . I guess that shows how much different favorites are from head to head .

For what reason? the Packers were the more balanced team over all. The Eagles with Vick get a big play or get nothing most of the time. Plus the run defense wasn't the best Well, not having a big play I wouldn't say he did 'nothng'. 2 TDs (one passing and one running), leading the game in yards with only 13 yards less than his running back. Not to mention, the better defense thing works both ways, not only the Packers having a better defense, but the prospect of going against a better defense (2nd in points allowed vs. 21st). But "big play or nothing" with over 62% passing in a season ? If the passing is deep bombs exclusively, teams would just drop a bunch of guys back in prevent and soft zones all the time, not to mention doing a lot more double covering than they've done. Its easy to notice their big plays because they stand out more and they had such success with them. But their 'big plays' were even more successful as they were because teams are afraid of their small and medium plays too. Sure you don't want to give Vick 20 yard runs (that of course you can't rely on either), but 5-6 yards add up if you give him that. But he's extremely accurate with mid range passes too even in tight windows as well. And even with short passes, they aren't to be ignored as the running back is actually the leader in receptions on the team by a large margin (78). So, the Packers have a better defense (2nd vs. 21st) and more balanced pass to run ratio (27 passes to 26 runs vs. 36 passes to 12 runs), but it isn't really a "well, they're just the better team" kindof consolation or loss. 1. They only won by 5 points with a star kicker missing 2 (6 points) field goals, one of which on 4th and 1 close to the endzone (shared blame with coach). 2. Reid, as always didn't really trust the running game. Sure the Packer's run blocking was more solid, but the Eagles had only 12 caries. But I would have liked eithe outcome because they're my favorite NFC teams .
