I voted for Yamila. Though the prediction I gave for for the winners of the quarterfinals was quite accurate (though I didn't know which winners would face which others in the final), http://www.bellazon.com/main/topic/49760-si-swimsuit-model-tournament-2013-vote-beginning-sept-4/?p=3340213 my prediction was: Marisa, Nina, Brooklyn (but it could be a close match), Elle and it was a close match between Brooklyn and Bar. So it was quite a good prediction my prediction for semi final results:

I haven't heard any news about either of them for SI 2014 - not new shoots anyway and they weren't at the 50 year thing a few days ago either.

The drop towers are just for dropping experiments not people. So I agree they probably went in a plane. They've done underwater shoots before (eg. SI 2005), just not for the cover as far as I know.

My computer thinks the winners of the quarterfinals will be: Marisa, Nina, Brooklyn (but it could be a close match), Elle and that the final will be Marisa vs Nina (though it will depend on who are in the semi final matches - eg. if they face each other before the semi finals only 1 will go through) Though I think Irina might do well based on the picture - apart from the photoshopping.

It's this building/area in NASA (if it was done at NASA and let's just say it was) I think and it's supposed to stimulate zero gravity and they use it for research. So they'd literally suck out the air in that chamber and she'd be dropped into it. It's the same area where the opening sequence in the Avengers was filmed where Loki goes around S.H.I.E.L.D to give you a sort of idea of what it looks like.

That's was unexpected. I voted for Nina but I predicted Kate would win that round but it was a difficult vote. Now I think the winner could be either Nina or Marisa

I think it's because there's a lot more models in the recent SI years than in the past SI years, so statistically more recent models are more likely to get selected. Also a lot will depend on the selected picture and how they look in it compared to the picture of the other model. But the current "top 15" looks statistically more representative of all the SI models than the previous one.

Now I think about it it might have been fake . I agree that if there had been a new shot showing her face that would have helped a lot to show it was real. But it seemed quite convincing from what it said, including the fact that some posts were in Spanish and the main page seemed quite convincing. But I agree most of the pictures seem like they could have been taken from the web or were the same as ones on the web (including a couple of pics of New York). But sometimes mirrored (eg. the one with two horses is mirrored and the border cropped). Here's one of the other pics (the one of the left is from twitter): I don't see another version of the one on the left on the web. It looks like a mirrored version of a version of the same image (but different quality) though the text form the logo on the t-shirt is the right way around on both - probably a version of the image was mirrored then the un-mirrored writing from the logo pasted on?). Though I'm still not totally sure if it was fake or not :notsure: . But I think now it probably was fake (eg. the lack of totally new face pic etc).

I mean the YamilaDiazR account that now says "page not found". How are you sure it was fake?

Shouldn't they say what the actual year was? eg. they say "Kate Upton, Antarctica 2013" when that was shot the year before, in 2012 so shouldn't it say "Antarctica 2012". Or if they want to say the SI year shouldn't they write that it is the SI year eg. "Antarctica, from SI 2013".
