Cos last time I started this poll (a bit before all the posts since September or something got deleted) it was just 'who was the most pleasant SI model in Hawaii in SI2007'. And because there were only 2 models in the Hawaii shoot, that's how many models I put in the poll. Should I change the poll back to 'most pleasant in Hawaii in SI2007' or would that not make much difference?

So according to that ebay item Yamila was on 13 pages and there was an interview. Maybe they are mistaken. This suggests that there is an article. Again, maybe they're mistaken or something.

Thanks a lot for that . That's totally new to me. I'm guessing that's from SI 2004 (I've seen the portrait one in this outfit but it was a different shot/pose). Do you have any others? Any scans from this years magazine (or any others that haven't previously been posted)?

Thanks for that. The scenes with Yamila in, in that clip are all from SI 2002 (I think the ones with Rebecca are from an earlier year). It seems they've added quite a few 'new' clips (ie. re-edits) from quite a few years quite a few of which I haven't seen before. Though I haven't yet seen any Yamila footage that I haven't previously seen. Instead of adding footage from older years in low quality on youtube (in fact I think they might have intentionally added lines going down the picture to make it look like old film or as some sort of effect in addition to all the low bitrate artefacts) they should release the full clips (not these re-edits) in high quality on DVD/HD-DVD or something. And does any one else really dislike all the strange colour effects they've added to these new clips they've added to youtube (shouldn't they have just colour-corrected them and left them like that)? - it looks like they've just got a new video editing package so they decided to add all the strange effects to all their clips for no reason whatsoever.

Her most recent photos might be in Elle Mexico June 2007 (cover + 13 pages). Apparently, Yamila is on the cover of Elle Mexico magazine June 2007 and in 13 pages inside. There is also supposed to be an interview. Is there a link to the interview (maybe it would need web translation) and the pictures?

New Yamila video on youtube added today (July 21st 2007) from 2002 (Yahoo FinanceVision: Yamila Diaz SI Swimsuit Model) FinanceVision's Caleb Goddard interviews Yamila Diaz... In the interview she says things like she may do a Hollywood movie or something but she wants to take her time to decide. I hope she decides to do another movie. (maybe if she's been given scripts they've all been a bit rubbish so far etc.)

Yes thanks, they are from 2002. The S.I. 2002 DVD is still available to buy new from places like amazon.com it's the older years that aren't available (other than by marketplace sellers at huge prices etc.). Sports Illustrated won't re-release them. Also there seem to be scenes in the video section of each year of the S.I. website that never appear in the same year's DVD. There could be more DVDs with her available (other than SI. and Il Pesce...) This month (July 13, 2007) Sports Illustrated added their first Yamila clip to Youtube. Yay. Bad news is its the same clip as on the S.I. 2007 website but 4:3 instead of widescreen and a lot lower quality picture, but it's still good they decided to add it, as they had added quite a few other model videos a couple of months ago. Also, were any SI videos filmed in high def - and if so which ones and why were the recent ones only released as DVD and not HD-DVD/Blu-ray? There are some clips of Yamila in her movie on youtube too.

Yamila's younger than people like Angelina Jolie, Penelope Cruz, Daniela Pestova, etc. (she looks a lot younger than any of them in my opinion) and about the same age as Veronica Varekova (the official S.I. site says Yamila is 30). If people wanted to do a photoshoot with say Angelina Jolie they wouldn't decide not to because of her age. Peta Nemcova is 28 and Marisa Miller is nearly 29 according to imdb and that doesn't matter at all as like Yamila they look fine. I too think she should do more shoots and TV shows, films, etc. like I said, and I really do hope she gets an official website and her films etc. get released everywhere. Also, are there any links to clips of her appearances on the Tonight Show or Today Show?
