Veronica Mars. I swear! It was.
  2. Heroes. My problem with Prison Break is that there is only so many times you can break out of prison on a show called Prison Break until the story gets dull. I mean season two was more like the fugitive and I was like 'when are they going back to prison so they can break out again'? Heroes isn't really tied down by anything other than their visual effects budget and it can evolve more naturally.
  3. I heard a single of theirs (the name escapes me) and it wasn't bad. I'll check the album out.
  4. There! That's it. If that sounds pretentious or is hard to follow, I'm sorry but I wanted to make some sort of structure to the format. If you have questions, you can either PM me or post it here. I would also advise you to make suggestions for the format. I like the 75% majority rule, but I don't want too many people to be elected per month. I was also thinking of mirroring the veterans committee to have the retired models voted in but I wasn't sure if that was too much.
  5. I'm a huge baseball fan and its hall of fame is the most prestigious of all sports (mostly because it has been around the longest). So I was thinking what about a Hall of Fame here? With models of course. While I am completely open to any suggestions, this would be my format. ---------------------------------------------- Qualifications: 1. Electors - You guys. Anyone who wants to, there are no restrictions. 2. Eligible candidates - Candidates to be eligible must meet the following requirements: All models that have been within the business for five years. 3. Method of Election 1. Screening Process — Each member may sugest two models to be added to the ballot before the next election. The maximum ballot size is 40. Once the ballot size reaches 40, the voting process may begin. The duty of the organizer (Hyperion) shall be to prepare a ballot listing in alphabetical order eligible candidates who (1) received a vote on a minimum of five percent (5%) of the ballots cast in the preceding election or (2) are eligible for the first time. 2. Electors may vote for as few as zero (0) and as many as ten (10) eligible candidates deemed worthy of election. Write-in votes are not permitted once the ballot has been set. 3. Any candidate receiving votes on seventy-five percent (75%) of the ballots cast shall be elected to membership in the Modeling Hall of Fame. 4. Voting — Voting shall be based upon the model's ability, integrity, character, runway presence, editorial record and contributions to the industry. 5. Time of Election - Each month there will be an election held. 6. Ammendments - Hyperion reserves the right to revoke, alter or amend these rules at any time.
  6. Angel New York City or Los Angeles?
  7. I don't think they're going to give it to Alessandra because she got that gimmicky candy bra that one year. Adriana would make sense. I just have this tiny feeling in the back of mind that they'll give it to Selita just so people will care about her.
  8. First, I'd like to say that money does not always equal power (but it helps). So Oprah and JK are super rich. So are Warren Buffet and Bill Gates. Can they arrest anyone? Can they declare war? No, but they can buy people cars and get into exclusive restaurants though. Angelina Jolie has more power than them being a goodwill ambassador for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. Condoleeza Rice does have a lot of power. But the President is the commander in chief he gets to do all the fun things like using wire taps on the general public and declare war. I mean, her power only lasts with the administration. Madeline Albright and Janet Reno are afterthoughts now and I'm sure they were hailed as the most powerful women. Hilary Clinton doesn't even have as much power as Nancy Pelosi. Maybe she will get elected President, but since when do Democrats win the presidential election anymore? Hilary Clinton is a politician which means that she just talks and tries to sound important, poses for pictures and argues with the rest of the politicians. Sure she can cast a vote in the Senate, but good ole George W can just veto that vote. So who's left? I guess I would steer clear of saying that American = world. I'll take the easy route and blindly trust Forbes magazine's 2006 list: 1. Angela Merkel 2. Condoleezza Rice 3. Wu Yi That would be the chancellor of Germany, the secretary of state of the US, and the vice premier of China.
  9. If you're going for the "which model do I dislike that I want to see put through stress" route, then I'd go with Ana BB. If you're going for the "which model do I think would have an interesting reaction" then I'd go with Heidi Klum.

The abbreviations were totally dorky, but I couldn't resist. When I was working on that I got another good idea for a theme. It's definitely chemistry related. It was no problem. The more people like them, the more that I would be prone to post other stuff around these parts. Well, I've never been lacking in the creativity department. That's for sure. Yet all I do is math and computer work all day. So, I guess I need to get it out somewhere.
  13. 1. Alessandra Ambrosio (7) 2. Valentina Zeliaeva (3) 3. Raquel Zimmerman (5) 6. Gisele Bundchen (7) 8. Tori Praver (6) 10. Petra Nemcova (3)

    Some statistics:

So that's it. There were some surprises. Gemma (who missed the cut last month) made a big jump in the rankings. Inguna made a big jump in the standings as well. Julia Stegner, Jeisa Chiminazzo, Coco Rocha, Izabel Goulart, Freja Beha, and Jessica Stam missed the cut this time though. So vote them back on next month, or at least try to. I hope I didn't make any errors. Time was at a minimum and lightning struck the house when I hit AnaBB's banner, so that slowed things down. I sort of rushed through all of the banners so some look better than others, but hopefully it isn't very noticeable. I also hope there weren't any misspelled words but if there were then oops. I'll post the spreadsheer stats tomorrow. Thanks for voting and thanks for letting me fill in again.

Which by process of elimination makes number one none other than... AnaBB!!!!!! Ana had eleven first place votes. That's seven more first place votes than Alessandra Ambrosio (who had 4 for the second most first place votes).

3 and 2 tied at 2: Hoping that I spelled her last name correctly...
