  1. So that's it. There were some surprises. Gemma (who missed the cut last month) made a big jump in the rankings. Inguna made a big jump in the standings as well. Julia Stegner, Jeisa Chiminazzo, Coco Rocha, Izabel Goulart, Freja Beha, and Jessica Stam missed the cut this time though. So vote them back on next month, or at least try to. I hope I didn't make any errors. Time was at a minimum and lightning struck the house when I hit AnaBB's banner, so that slowed things down. I sort of rushed through all of the banners so some look better than others, but hopefully it isn't very noticeable. I also hope there weren't any misspelled words but if there were then oops. I'll post the spreadsheer stats tomorrow. Thanks for voting and thanks for letting me fill in again.
  2. Which by process of elimination makes number one none other than... AnaBB!!!!!! Ana had eleven first place votes. That's seven more first place votes than Alessandra Ambrosio (who had 4 for the second most first place votes).
  3. 3 and 2 tied at 2: Hoping that I spelled her last name correctly...
  4. Thanks Izzie and yelisavetpetrovna for the kind words...Onto the top ten. 10-8:
  5. 1. Alessandra Ambrosio (10) 2. Valentina Zeliaeva (9) 3. Raquel Zimmerman (10) 4. Vlada Roslyakova (8) 5. Sasha Pivovarova (8) 6. Gisele Bundchen (8) 7. Kate Moss (8) 8. Tori Praver (10) 9. Tiiu Kuik (6) 10. Petra Nemcova (9)
  6. The movie ran through me The glamour subdue me The tabloid untie me I'm empty please fill me Mister anchor assure me That Baghdad is burning Your voice it is so soothing That cunning mantra of killing I need you my witness To dress this up so bloodless To numb me and purge me now Of thoughts of blaming you Yes the car is our wheelchair My witness your coughing Oily silence mocks the legless Ones who travel now in coffins On the corner The jury's sleepless We found your weakness And it's right outside our door Now testify (Rage Against the Machine - Testify)
  7. Umm, not that I can tell. Maybe I'll realize that I did later though. Are you back in school yet?

    I Am...

done with 20-11 of July's (yes -- July's) BZ official top ten list. So go check that out
  9. Oh and if you read the bottom ticker, you can tell two models that dropped off from last month. There were around four - five models that dropped off the list, FYI. And the buy or sell rating -- doesn't mean anything really. I mean I would buy Eugenia Volodina at #14, but if it's a drop in ranking, then it's a sell rating. Maybe all of this buying and selling would make for an interesting game. Hmm, now I'm talking to myself. Anyways, I'll be back in 24 hours give or take for the actual top ten.
  10. 17-14: (And Anja joins the party)
  11. I have 20-11 done right now. I'll need another day to finish up with the top ten. Damn job -- getting in the way of the top ten. I came up with a stock market theme. If you ever watch CNBC, the layout should look really familiar. So, the graph displays four months (the quarter) and specifically it displays the position of the model the last four months. I think all the numbers are correct. The ticker on the bottom is the same for all of the wallpapers that I made. Just something extra thrown in there. I made abbreviations for each model with 2 - 4 symbols as well. Once again, the "plus" and "minus" numbers are a little screwy. If a model went from 12 to 10, she gets a (+2). While the point value dropped and one would expect a minus, I went with a plus to show positive movement towards the top position. I hope I didn't screw up that logic again...but who cares. Here are the results for 20-11....
  12. The votes are tallied. Off to Photoshop-land
  13. Ok, I'll do it. I don't have a timetable right now for when it'll get done. I imagine 2 hours max (i hope) to record all the votes. The more complex that I make the banners, the longer it will take. I'm a perfectionist -- so I'd hope for Wednesday night
  14. Well, in saying what I said, I meant a celebrity on the cover will sell more copies than a model -- and if this weren't true, I doubt so many people here would always be complaining about how celebs have taken over -- so yes, the general public doesn't care as much about models. But there's some truth in models making less interesting content, too. If you asked a model and a movie star about the latest step in their respective careers, it would probably be far more interesting to hear about making that latest blockbuster movie rather than being on the latest runway. I agree with you for the most part. At the same time I would say that models have some great stories -- they just maybe aren't as ...umm educated in PR and interviewing as the Hollywood types. But it's hard to compare walking down a runway with filming on the set of Pirates of the Caribbean. But should there even be stories like that in a fashion magazine? I would still take models over celebrities because I don't care about selling magazines.
  15. Noted. But if you do need any help you know who to ask.
