I've seen someone comment that it's Adriana's father's fault for leaving her and that's why she's become so "manipulative" about the men who do this to her. But I do not think there's anything to it. In my opinion a woman can be strong without being manipulated by the partners even without having the father figure, I think a bit sexist to say that woman can only be strong if she has the presence of the father.
