Seems like some of the veterans DGAF about it any more, such as BBI, Isabeli, Bregje? Maybe last year’s rejections of the regulars was a final straw? I wonder if we will see the Jablonskis or Maryna or Lily D and Joan go to castings next week. (Also Grace Mahary is on holiday so I’m not sure she’ll go to castings which is a shame because she looks amazing right now).

Ujjwala Raut walked back in the days and she’s fully Indian, and Kelly Gale who is half. Yasmeen Ghauri who is half Pakistani if you look at south Asian. Andi Muise is part Native American I think, and she walked a couple of shows. No south East Asian women or North African/middle eastern models I think, save for Imaan.

I actually think there’s a lot of great women in the first group of casting before callbacks. Some just need to get glammed up and I totally see them as walking material (don’t know their walks obvs). A lot like more womanly than girly which is nice. Tako looks great and Melia... wow. Also there’s a girl called Erin I saw in some Instagram account? Big tooth gap but (from her insta) she can be fire hot.

Did imaam or irina say why they’re not attending castings? Also, seems a little unfair that Mayowa and the Russians might not get picked this year. I love Sui but she hasn’t been as fun on the runway, so maybe she’s bored with the whole thing and should take a year out. The rest of the models in casting - not one over 25 (except angels and Kate)? Seems like being sexy has a limit for VS 😞

Malaika looks fantastic. And womanly. She would look amazing in the show. So she will never be cast again.

Random question, who are the “big/hyped” models in the last few years who never made/walked the show, off the top of my head: Vlada, Tanya D, Coco (religion), Saskia, both Sasha, both Darias, Natalia V, Valentina Z, MariCarla, Melodie Monrose. More recently, Lexi, Anna E, Binx, Tao O. I can see a few of them walking the show (I mean, Jacquetta Wheeler walked and she had a unique kind of beauty so VS is clearly open). I find it weird Valentina and Vlada never made it tbh (I think they both auditioned).

that video was cute! first and foremost, the lady carrying out the measures is great. Fantastic delivery and charisma. The models: Lais, great and coming into her own with her personality, which is calming and warm and therefore a very nice change from those louder types. Jo, looked cute and her natural beauty translated to video better than when she’s doing “sexy”. Barbara, oozes charisma and was a bit larger framed than the others so looked very sexy and womanly (also when she makes her “once a month” joke, she was giving me hot dork vibes in a Sandra Bullock in Miss Congeniality vibes which is but an excellent thing). Alexina: I still do not love her look but again, cute personality and not girly in this video, which was enjoyable.

Seeing their instagrams, Noel can give off slightly Daniela Pestova vibes which is good - she’s attractive for sure but let’s see her work. Ámbra is HOT.

What does MUA stand for? We are all speculating here, for all we know she has investments and/or other less high profile brands that pay, or family money or whatever. Irrespective, I think she’s a great model, stunning woman and great for VS, which is where I see her most, and I’m not even a fan. I hope she stays. Love Yasmin but that’s not my fave purity pic of her. Having said that, I hope they keep using her to her full potential. Irrespective of people’s opinions, Lais has been with VS for almost half a decade (?) and she must sell or they would have sent her packing so her Fantasy Bra was a nice touch and probably a commercial decision as much as an emotional or promotional one.

I meant more along the lines of why here in BZ jasmine doesn’t seem to have as strong or passionate a fan base as Lais or Imaan or other MOC (or even Rome and Jo, who people seem to really love or absolutely hate) and if there was something about her personality that didn’t click. Just seems that people feel 🤷🏻‍♀️ Towards her.

At this stage I am not super excited about this year’s show but it really needs to be a lovely goodbye about half the angels. Also, whilst I like Lameka (Alexina and Grace less so), watching those old videos with Tyra and Daniela and Helena etc made me wish for more womanly angels again and those girls (or most of the current roster) just doesn’t do it. One thing I have to say also, picture after picture Jasmine is bomb. It feels like she is so underrated, is she not very charismatic?
