Erin shot for the 2009 fall and winter sessions and even got a couple of covers in the process.

Emanuela was 16. Her first swim pictures were released in January/February 2006. Karolina is definitely the youngest model to do the VSFS. She turned 16 only a couple of months prior to the 2000 show.

Miranda Kerr, a cold and raining winters day in a New York studio, we were shooting in almost no daylight. One of Miranda great mates is art director david Krauk. We have a tradition of shooting 'something' on each location we travel to together. This was amanyara resort in turks and caicos. Took most the lunch break to set it up! A sneak peak at a shot from my new art book that will publish in a couple of months. Miranda Kerr will have many pages in the book, probably the best shoot I ever did with her-was at Richard Bransons home on Necker island. From Russell James's Facebook I'm glad Miranda went with a different look for the party. The hair down/skintight dress thing that Candice and Alessandra are both doing (and do very often) is kind of boring, and Miranda's done that look before. Miranda could use more experimentation in her look, and this is a good start. I like the whole ensemble, but I'm sick of seeing her in those nude stilettos. They should be hidden in a back closet somewhere just like the red dress she's worn many times already. I went to Victoria's Secret yesterday, and Miranda is being used in the in-store advertising for the new Island Passions Secret Garden line. Also, a new Dream Angels fragrance is coming out soon - Heavenly Flowers. Since Miranda was the face of Heavenly Kiss, Heavenly Bloom, and Heavenly Enchanted, it will be interesting to see if they use her for Heavenly Flowers or go with one of the new girls.

These VS times right now with young 20 and 21 year olds in the catalogue remind me of the 2001 & 2002 years when you had (then) youngsters like Gisele, Adriana, Ana Beatriz, Karolina, Isabeli, and Alessandra used more than the older models. Most of the Brazilians were around 20 or 21. Isabeli and Karolina were still in their teens. Even Marisa was in her early 20s at the time. The only difference between then and now is that people "liked" those models when they were taking the place of the veterans, and people don't like these newcomers. I don't see changing the line-up as a bad thing. VS can't just keep relying on the same models over and over again. The angel line-up needed to get younger. Heidi and Marisa are over 30. Adriana and Alessandra are getting there. Looking at the young guard - Behati (20), Candice (21), Lindsay (23), Chanel (20), Erin (21), Rosie (22) - it clearly looks like an angel line-up for the future to me. The only angel of the old guard that I really see fitting in with that group is Miranda, and that's primarily because she has a younger looking face. (I hope she moves on instead of sticking around, but that's a different discussion). A lot of the young guard are thin at the moment, but so were most of the others when they started. Adriana and Karolina were thin when they started with them, and they filled out as they got older. I don't doubt that some of the new angels will do something similar. All that said, I don't personally like any of these newcomers. Time will tell if the public really latches onto them as individuals, but I think they make a solid group together.

Thanks, Mayfrayn. Hopefully her re-vamped site is better organized and updated more frequently than the previous one. Otherwise, there's really no reason for her to have an official site.

Emanuela was 16 when she started shooting with them, but (if my memory is correct) they didn't start printing her lingerie pictures in the catalogues until after her 18th birthday had passed. (I don't feel like searching her thread to check.) I do, however, remember seeing swim pictures of her in the early 2006 books, so they were shot before her 17th birthday.

Somebody (her agency, managers, VS, who knows) tried to pull a fast one when she first became an angel by saying she was born in 1985. The people who had been fans of Miranda for years knew it was a lie, but some fans insisted that she was born in 1985 because it was on her official website. There was a minor Wiki-Battle over it. Her birthday kept changing back and forth and for a while it was posted as "April 20 1983 or 1985." They wanted to make her seem younger for some reason and whoever tried to knock two years off her age didn't factor in that so much of Miranda's back story was already out there that their 1985 math just would not add up. Miranda settled the fan debate for good shortly after her 25th birthday. She gave an interview in 2008 saying she had just turned 25, and that formally put the 1983 versus 1985 debate to rest. There was also some February 20th versus April 20th questioning at one point too, but this was settled after she had a joint birthday party with Rosie H-W and Jessica Hart in 2007. She used to look painfully young, and I think she's finally started to look her age. I don't think it's a coincidence that since she's finally grown out of her baby face, she's working more than ever.
