Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen (born September 23, 1949), nicknamed "The Boss", is an American singer-songwriter. He records and tours with the E Street Band. Springsteen is widely known for his brand of heartland rock infused with pop hooks, poetic lyrics, and Americana sentiments centered on his native New Jersey. Springsteen's recordings have tended to alternate between commercially accessible rock albums and somber folk-oriented works. Much of his status stems from the concerts and marathon shows in which he and the E Street Band perform intense ballads, rousing anthems, and party rock and roll songs, amongst which he intersperses whimsical or deeply emotional st…

The Who Few bands in the history of rock & roll were riddled with as many contradictions as the Who. All four members had wildly different personalities, as their notoriously intense live performances demonstrated. The group was a whirlwind of activity, as the wild Keith Moon fell over his drum kit and Pete Townshend leaped into the air with his guitar, spinning his right hand in exaggerated windmills. Vocalist Roger Daltrey strutted across the stage with a thuggish menace, as bassist John Entwistle stood silent, functioning as the eye of the hurricane. These divergent personalities frequently clashed, but these frictions also resulted in a decade's worth of remark…

Name: William Bruce Rose Birthdate: February 6, 1962 Quote : "Life sucks, but in a beautiful kind of way." Bio : Born and raised in Lafayette, Indiana, William Axl Rose is the pure embodiment of decadent late eighties rockerdom. Brash, slightly misogynistic and notoriously wild, Axl grew up in a maniacally disfunctional household - molested by his own stepfather at age two. When Axl was seventeen, he fled Indiana on a Greyhound bus destined for Los Angeles (the haven for all that embodies sinnin' and grinnin'). After auditioning for a lion's share of punk bands, (many of which he was turned down for because of his uncanny vocal resemblance to Robert Plant) A…

Tyson Jay Ritter (born April 24, 1984) is the lead singer and bassist of the All-American Rejects. He has a high unique singing voice and style, in the way that he will often switch from his stronger head voice into his gentle falsetto during ascending melodies. He currently resides in Destin, Florida, close to his fellow bandmate. Background While growing up in Stillwater, Oklahoma, both All-American Rejects vocalist/bassist Tyson Ritter and guitarist/programmer Nick Wheeler played guitar in junior high bands, turning to music to escape the small-town doldrums. Yet, the two budding musicians didn't cross paths until Nick and his band performed at a party one night, wh…

Biography Radiohead emerged from the fading '90s Brit-pop invasion with a sound that was moody, melodic, and explosive, with roots planted firmly in both alternative culture and the art-rock legacy of such classic rockers as Pink Floyd. With the release of 1997's OK Computer, Radiohead was among the most closely watched bands of the decade, drawing on influences as varied as Queen, R.E.M., and Miles Davis. The Oxford musicians were embraced as saviors of modern guitar rock, only to resurface in 2000 with a new sound heavy with electronics, minimal vocals, and few guitars. Singer/guitarist Thom Yorke first turned to music while growing up in Scotland and Oxford, England.…

Sunrise Avenue play pure rock'n'roll with an unstoppable passion, and a dash of sunshine in their melodies. The vocalist Samu Haber started the band together with guitarist Janne Kärkkäinen in 2002. Bass player Raul Ruutu joined the gang soon after, and Sami Osala came on as the drummer in the fall of 2005. Producer Jukka Backlund got interested when he saw the band perform live, and with him Sunrise Avenue decided to make a record, even before they had a record deal. The first tracks Backlund and Sunrise Avenue did together also clinched the deal.

Aaaah The Smiths. An English group from 82-87 forming of Andy Rourke, Morrissey, Johnny Marr, Mike Joyce. And in my opinion, the greatest band EVER! Every song is a blend of lyric-poetry, the instrumentals are genius, matching the words perfectly at times, and forming a perfect contrast at others. The song "Heaven knows i'm miserable now" is my favourite song of all time. What does everybody else think of the band, the songs, the people, the legacy?
