They have those prices because vintage things worth it and those mags are pretty, pretty hard to get so I't's normal those prices. You won't see an auction at Southby's or Christie's in wich auctions works of art with low prices.

The unique and pretty hard to get besides vintage worth it.

thats only the case with ebay, you can find rare things a lot cheaper on local sites. i once bought the first issue of numero for literally 1 euro in great condition which is sold for insane prices on ebay and i have so many examples like that. i agree vintage things are worth it but its insane to pay 40$ (exluding shipping) for only one magazine.

Okay, so I wanted to get my COSMO AUS covers in order. As you can see I've crossed out all the ones I have and I've IDed. I need help with the rest of the IDs and the covers that I don't have. All dates are under the covers and that's all thanks to @Calypso Angel's awesome cover archive! You have to zoom in so you can see them better.

Please, you have to understand people don't working for nothing in this life. For a seller Its very hard to get that kind of stuff and at first the seller must to make an investment in gathering all that value and that's worth money. If somebody sell, like you say,one vinatage mag for 1€ he must to pay a commissiom on the page where you make the sale (on ebay or whatever) so...there is no gain in anywhere. No my friend,in this life GOOD THINGS ARE WORTH MONEY.
